1. A visit today to this new Tops, and frankly a major disappointment when compared to the Central Festival branch. The size and selection is miniscule in comparison. The bakery (I suspect the items come from CF), meat and cheese departments are tiny. They do have a nice salad bar and there is a food bar too. It's too small to qualify as a supermarket and missing were some of my favorite items from CF store. There are grand opening specials but no reason for me to return.
Thanks,we were going to give it a try, wont bother now.

True but the result was never mandatory on the government. The referendum was advisory.

There are times when the government must go against public opinion and do what's best for the country. It's what we pay them for.

No ,we pay them to do the will of the people,if they dont,we get rid of them, the will of the people was to leave, live with it,we are not a communist state, yet!!

3. ivor bigun I do NOT wish to cause FUD, but you might wish to check on the legality of that, for your daughter's sake!

There are 1 or 2 threads running about people bringing prescription meds into Thailand, but if your daughter is bringing large quantities of meds in without a prescription, she may have problems at Customs.
I'm hoping Sheryl sees this and advises - she is the knowledgeable one on TV about such matters.

Also, if your daughter flies via other countries (especially in the Mid-East) do tell her to ensure she packs meds in her checked bag, not hand luggage!

Quite possibly you/she have considered this already, but just in case.
Thanks, but yes her and i have been doing it for years, always put in checked luggage, especially when stopping in Dubai, luckily nothingi take is illegal there or here.

"Nice families" are not always nice, and it can be just a smoke screen. When/if money starts pouring in, their true colours come out. Just this happened in our "nice family". It took over 10 years to find out certain family members were incredibly evil. You said, "most of my friends have nice families as well"... perhaps you should be talking about the ones that don't.
Sorry i dont know any that dont ,as for money,my wifes family are far from poor ,not rich, well one is, but not short of a bob or two ,in fact once i borrowed 600,000 baht to put into my 3 months,in a thai bankwhen the pound collapsed many years ago, didnt even want interest . I am sorry, but most of the Thai people i know and live around are quite well off, my sons friends are all quite well off as well. Flash bastard arnt i ,very sorry, but i dont mean to be ,i just tell it as my life is.
Ps my wifes young brother is always on the scrounge, but as i have known him since he was young,i dont think he would do anything like that.especially as his big sisters would tan his arse lol

5. Yeah, part-time and in a shoe shop where I was. That is, if you were lucky.
Tons of work ,all my mates had good jobs,it was a great time to be about ,yes i was a shop manager, and remember sitting in the dark because the unions were on strike ,no electricity, no buses or trains ,no rubbish collected she stopped all that crap, Labour at the time destroyed the country, she gave it back to us, she was by no means perfect but a thousand times better than what came before.

6. And mind you, after Brexit, France and Belgium wil no longer have the duty to stop the transmigrants from going to the UK.
Our taxpayers are gratefull! & Our truck parking places will be safe again.
Calais? Never again!

PS. A transmigrant is a migrant on his way to the land of Milk & Honey, who does NOT seek asylum in Europe.

Brits, ENJOY!

They dont stop them now,so no change there
