  1. Quick question. I intended to retire to Thailand in the next few months, I will be 56. Making two assumptions, one that the state pension still exists when I am 67 and two that I am still living in Thailand at that age. Is my pension frozen at the rate I have accrued from the day I start receiving it at 67 or is frozen at the rate when I leave the country at 56?
    67.if you live here B)

  2. After some disappointment with Stephen King- adaptations (The Mist, Dark Tower), there are now 2 (TWO!) excelennt series for King- lovers:
Castle Rock is enjoying a strong first season ...although I am eager to see, how they tie all the threads together at the end!
And then: Mr. Mercedes is back!
The first season was an absolute thriller (sic!) with superb acting talent!
The first two episodes of season 2 are also grrrrrrreat!
I like it,but it is getting wierd you must admit

  3. The example scenario you selected, which no longer applies, is based on "the record flow of migrants between 2014 and 2016 continues indefinitely with the same religious composition", so I call your highlighted point hyperbole.

Birth rates of Muslim heritage people has been intensely studied. The fact of the matter is Muslim heritage family birth rates quickly drop when good quality medical education and services are available. Another factor contributing to a reduced birth rate is economic security.
Did not and is not happening in my old hometown but then we dont live in your world

  4. Now you're getting an idea what it's like for younger Thai ladies in Pattaya Beach to be permanently touched by horny old Farangs.

Anyway, there are self-defense courses for girls and women in Germany, I would highly recommend every German female to attend one. German police can help them.
Horny young men usually cool down once their women are near them. German government should make a program to get more Muslima females into the country. But once they would take off their veils, older German women would probably run mad - like they do when they see a beautiful young Thai lady.
There is certainly no way to roll back globalization and mass migration. So get used to it and handle it in a civilized manner. And get used to children of mixed races, they'll be Germany's future.
Children of mixed races, yeh right, most immegrants marry in their communities, of course eccept the Muslims who always want to marry a nice Christian or a Hindu. What world do you live in ,fairyland?

  5. More likely to be due to oppressive dictatorships and deep rooted corruption

Although i agree with this, you always close your eyes to the massive truth that it is also the people themselves that do nothing to make things better, and dont forget it is them that vote for the monsters in charge. But you will never see this,as there are none so blind.

Just stop spouting the same rubbish over and over,we know we have crime,i for one dont want far more and i dont care if they are doing it to each other,do it in your own countrys NOT OURS

  7. Irony of the week award.  Thanking your own sky fairy for the fact that there are more people who hate people because of their sky fairy than not.
Well it was an expression only as i do not believe in God or any other religous claptrap, thought up to control people at least the wests sky fairy has evolved unlike some others sky fairy that just believes in total control and domination

  9. To get tax you need to show mandatory government insurance and if older than 5 years for a bike or 7 years for a car a "certificate of road worthiness"
Beware the certificate for road worthiness is getting far harder, when we had our car tested he even switched the lights on. As well as testing the horn . Oh he also got our tax. :)

  10. Sadly people in Scotland can't say good riddance, as we are chained to the mindless army of little Englander bigots who are only now beginning to wake up to the fact that they have been conned by a bunch of right wing charlatans. These charlatans, Farage, Johnson, Fox, JR-M etc  wholeheartedly despise them, and can't wait for EU employment law to be ended, so they can exploit those who voted for them even more than they do now.

Those seeking a great malt don't even have to cross the central belt (Where the LP after years of local government corruption has largely been dumped incidentally) Glenkinchie from East Lothian is a fine place to start.
Why would anyone in Scotland care about EU employment law no one works thete, they just live off the rest of us

  11. The problem here in Pattaya is that most sellers want far more than their property is worth, that along with ovesrsupply is the reason agents charge a high fee, half the time propertys cannot be sold ,and by the way most agents charge 3% on a decently priced property. But try telling anything about agency to those not in the trade ,they know it all dont you

  12. I think you're right, the fact that newspapers always roll out their stock photos of retirees strolling along a sandy beach doesn't help our cause.

I do wish the honourable member for Brighton Pavillion well in her quest, but unless she gets more high profile support I fear it will fall at the first hurdle.

Let's wait and see if they call for comments from the Great British Public.

Funny you always see that photo or one of two fit healthy pensioners hiking in the hills.i also believe we will never get a pension rise, google it and every year there is "a glimmer of hope" i think the only way anyone will get a rise is if you keep a home address, never read any account of a pensioner being caught doing it,on the internet, have you? A few claiming housing benefit etc and social.
