You are a very ignorant person arnt you? Who are you to denigrate either me or what my grandfather told me( and by the way it was common knowledge). And i have never ever denigrsted wind or solar power,or perhaps you can tell me which posts i am supposed to haveHow old are you?
Is your understanding of science limited to what you Grandfather, who I'm sure was a wonderful man, conveyed to you as a lad?

Thrown away the key? You know that in Britain he would live a quite decent life watching tv .doing the gym, 3 meals a day nice and wsrm ,medical help and out in 20 years .no kill the scum and unlike you my heart will not bleedMaybe, but I still oppose the use of the death penalty.
I’m not shedding tears for this man, but I’d have locked him up and thrown away the key if it was my decision.

You mean deterrent to other people,i mean to him ,now if that doesnt deter him nothing will,that is hete in Britain he would have been out in 20 years or so ,could have done it again , also how can we prove its not a deterant ,how many people have not gone on to kill because they were afraid of the consequences ? No one knows so maybe it is a deterent .No it hasn’t.It has ended his worthless life.
However, that is not what deterrent means.
Mind you if they had put him in solitary with no books no tv and no one to talk to for life ,i could have gone along with that

Well its unfortunate for you yhat you and your wife are so different,now i am older than my wife of 25 years but she is educated hates Thai soaps(actually loves the old British series like Downton Abbey) and we mix with couples like ourselves,but then you seem to know more about the sort you write about,What self-respecting Thai babe would want to be seen in public, in broad daylight, with her thirty-years-older, balding, fat ATM, when with a little judicious planning and lying she can spend an enjoyable evening gossiping on her phone with her friends, while watching Thai soaps from a comfy sofa?

Yes there were many as servants to the rich and as slaves also those who came as sailors on ships ,not as brothel owners,in high society or married to white women with white daughters,oh yes there were many begging in the east end as they were seen as less than human.I do know my history.
A little bit of research will show there was a sizable black population in Britain in the 1700's which did indeed intermarry with the white population. Check out the works of historian Michael Wood, for example.

Yes he is a funny guy.another good series is The Inbetweeners.about 4 school friends. Its very rude very funny 3 series and 2 movies he is a teacher in it
Cuckoo is a program i never showed an interest as :
a) the title suggests a lame Richard Briars/ Felicity Kendal type of sitcom and;
b) I’d never heard of Gregg Davies ( Man Down and Taskmaster) when it first came out in 2012 !!
But, now I’m more enlightened I watched a couple of episodes and I’m hooked !!
All 4 seasons available on iPlayer.
