The law is 30 days only and you can"t import by mail without an import license from the FDA.

In practice they don't quibble over amount coming in as long as it looks at a glance cobsistent with petsonal use. And in practice small quantities sent by regular mail (not a courier) usually get through.

But just the postage will likely cost more than the price of these drugs in Thailand.

yes ,do not use a courier ,just ordinary mail.

Omeprazole is available at all pharmacies that I'm familiar with under several different brand names. The one that I purchase is called "Miracid", and a two week course of 20 mg capsules will run you around 75 baht on average.

I'm not familiar with atorvastatin, but simvastatin (branded as "Bestatin") is also available everywhere (without prescription) in 5, 10 or 20 mg tablets. As Tmoney says: less than 5 baht/tablet.

I've never priced lisinopril, but amlodipine (a calcium channel blocker, also used to control blood pressure) is available without prescription and similarly priced.

In my experience, hospital pharmacies are FAR more expensive than retail pharmacies!

only private hospitals are ,govt ones far far far cheaper than anywhere else ,i get eyedrops for pressure in the eyes from Queen Sirakit at Satahip ,795 baht for one month ,at farcino 1580 baht ,at Samitivit over 2500 baht . just got 3 months of meds 6 different types  from Chonburi just under 1500 baht including omeprazol go to a govt hospital

I know that ivor, I got mine because of your recommendation. But the three channels you mention are not the most exciting viewing for me, which is why I use a VPN and can watch any UK channel. You can get CNN & Bloomberg on ustvgo.tv for free. I want to install other apps on this 3BB Android box.

well if you manage it ,please let me know how ,i will get my son to do it for me????

  4. we got it as well ,only 107 baht extra on our wi fi ,great value for the money ,neither the wife or i watch much tv ,i just download what i want ,but it has bloomberg and cnn ,and as said BBC nature which the wife really likes , true has gone down so much ,we left once bloomberg was ditched

Thank you.  Do you have the name of the doctor ?

His name was Dr Ponchai,he was the one i had the appointment with ,but he was not the one who operated ,you have to go to the hospital a become a patient ,you then get an appointment ,i was transfered there from Samitivit in Sri Racha ,paid more for a room for one night and a few tests than everything i had done at chonburi ,including the angiogram .

  6. I followed UbonJoes advice ,last year when i changed ,luckily i went over to the UK at the time ,sent my papers to Milton Keynes , they were returned to my UK address quickly ,i had been warned that the Thai embassy were not very good ,but luckily i spoke to the actual guy and sent a slightly higher fee ,got the paperwork back in about a week or so ,then had it translated and verified here ,got a solicitor in Pattaya to arrange it ,better than the bother of back and for to BKK.

i was lucky it all went smoothly ,but there are stories on here where it was a pain in the bum ,so much easier and cheaper if your in the UK.

getting a kor ror 22 is a doddle ,if you live near the ampour,

    Hello Ivor,

Could you give a few more details ...is it the 3bb giga tv....are there plenty of English speaking channels...did you have to sign a new 12/15/18 month contract...any info much appreciated..

    Cheers fella....

Yes its the 3bb giga tv ,there are loads of English speaking chanells we have just been watching BBC earth  a prog with David Attenbourgh, and there is Nikeleodian  plus more but to be honest i am just checking it at the moment .apart from that there are the movie and series channels ,all in English ,so much plus sport

we already have a contract for 3BB wifi so all the wife had to do was sign a contract for one year for the tv ,and to be honest as its only an extra 107 baht a month if you have wi fi even if it was rubbish you only lose 1300 baht ,we rarely watch tv as i download everything ,but i must say at this price its a bargain ,also the wife loves natural history progs ,which BBC earth gives you.

Yes, Bloomberg off and that is the end for me with True (no) Visions TV, I get Blooming berg on my mobile live now.

The nail in the coffin for me was taking Bloomberg off.

Been on cable TV since the begin of it in Thailand, started around 1991-1992 before True by the way, and now on internet and saving a few baht each month as well.

    Win ????

3bb have bloomberg and cnn, plus the Thai news channels ,
