Are they also closing in the non-tourist areas as well?

These are like little everything in life centers for lots of people.

It's not "convenient" if they're not nearby anymore.

Plus all the lost jobs for their hard working long suffering staffs.

This is something I've just noticed in the last week or so.

Is it surprising ,i cant see how they keep going anyway ,we used to shop at 7/11 near us ,then another opened ,then one across the bloomin road from it ,then a family mart and a tesco , same like the coffee shop ,opened up ,next thing 3 off them ,.its stupid here .

Did you actually have glaucoma starting (visual field tests that indicate loss of vision)?  Agree eye test should be professional to check for such things.

no did not have it ,but pressure in the eyes can cause it i believe, my pressure is always normal since i started the eye drops. when i first went to Satahip had all the eye tests ,and had them all again about 9 months ago ,i think about 900 baht if i remember rightly .

Does anyone know how people are being called up to get their shots? I am registered with a GP but not on the electoral roll. It'll be a while before they get to my age bracket but when they do, should I expect to be contacted?

got a letter yesterday ,told if i did not want it ,phone and cancel appointment.

  5. I was lucky ,about 5/6 yrs ago had an eye test for new glasses ,the girl said that i really should see a proper eye doctor ,long story short eventually went to Queen Sirakit at Satahip, found i had a small cateract in one eye, still not worth having op ,but more important she found i had pressure in both eyes ,untreated you go blind with glaucoma ,taken drops ever since pressure normal ,get a proper test by doctor

Where are you talking of exactly here......? Further on North or South. I just know of the place South of Pattaya after Underwater world on Southbound Sukhumvit carriageway and the one near Laem Chabang on Sukhumvit Southbound a little after Harbor Mall.

On sukhumvit going north just before Pattaya Klang and just after the underpass Chevy used to have a showroom ,it has been taken over by ford (you can still get Chevy spares there) moving on Northwards before you get to the Police headquarters Ford have built a workshop ,large ford sign outside .

No idea what omeprazola is .. the governent hospital doesn’t have a specialist.

I could go to a university hospital, but the clinic is evening, I would lose more money than saved. tbh I don’t have an issue with paying 500B once a year, I think it’s great value.

I don’t like paying for something that I didn’t receive, especially when they make plenty ar the pharmacy.

I am lucky Chonburi is a teaching hospital ,also the specialist doctors there are 1st class and practice in Private hospitals ,mind you in them prices are vastly more expensive

  8. go to a govt hospital ,just got 3 months supply of 6 drugs from Chonburi heart hospital 1500 baht the lot, one of them was a drug just mentioned omeprazola. the doc is a heart specialist from a private hospital fee 50 baht ,plus a few baht extra for blood pressure etc .

I agree with G.Brown - even though he was the most disliked British "pm" (unelected) and personally, I think he's a bit of a snake in the grass after what he did to Blair.

Problem is, if it had come out of literally any other ex-PM's mouth, it might have been taken more seriously.

Not if it had come out of ... Blairs.
