  1. Opening from 10 AM to 10 PM on 7 days a week, as is the norm with malls in Thailand, is already plenty. How many additional shoppers do they hope to attract outside of those hours?
  2. It's more likely that the embassy or consulate you visit to apply for another tourist visa will eventually refuse to issue you another one. It's hard to keep track of their limits, but that will happen sooner or later.
  3. Each time you enter as a tourist, you can only extend your permission to stay once, by 30 days. If you manage to enter Thailand 6 times, then yes, you could extend 6 times (once per entry). Not sure if that's what you mean though.
  4. Do you go on trips sometimes? If you check into a hotel somewhere for one night, it would be perfectly legal to submit a new TM30 report when you return home, with your return date as "check-in" date.
  5. Confiscate his bike, then let the fashion police deal with him. Next.
  6. It would be nice if they had given some examples. Offenses and the respective fines.
  7. You answered your question in your very first sentence. You no longer want to be around Thai people, Thailand is filled to the brim with them.
  8. Alright then, but does anyone want to see his photos? I'd prefer to see him tried and imprisoned in Thailand rather than holidaying abroad.
  9. About time that adult Thais are no longer being treated as children by the authorities and allowed to make their own choices. Hopefully they'll get rid of the silly alcohol sales bans during religious holidays next.
  10. Should be fine, but you will probably get questioned at some point and should be prepared for that. Having evidence of working in Singapore and coming to Thailand frequently for short holiday breaks is something immigration is certainly familiar with. Personally, I wouldn't mention the Thai girlfriend. It could really go both ways, depending on the IO you encounter.
  11. Note that the form on top, where "To" is a required field, is a search form. When you add a record with the form below, "Check-out date" is optional. As a resident, you can and should leave it empty. This is primarily for hotels registering guests.
  12. How about answering my question first, before coming back with questions. The reason why your experience and mine seems to have been different is that I already had a User ID. I tried to figure out why you didn't have one at the time you switched phones, which might help explain why you had to go to the branch. I don't think the procedure has changed recently, but for what it's worth, the last time I moved the Bangkok Bank app to a new phone was in March.
  13. What's your source for this? Do you happen to have a breakdown by nationality?
  14. Why exactly did you have to go to the branch? Did you not have (or remember) your User ID? I've changed phones with Bangkok Bank before and I simply logged in on the new phone using my (existing) User ID. I think they sent an OTP by SMS to validate, but that was it, no visit to the branch required.
  15. They get you a non-immigrant visa AND a non-immigrant visa entry. You cannot get the latter without having the former, so I'm not sure what point you are trying to make.
  16. I wonder why they don't just get rid of the silly TM6 form at land borders altogether, same as they did at airports quite a while ago.
  17. They're probably aware that some banks issue statements only at the end of the month and that you can't get one that's more current than from the end of last month. There's no reason, however, for them to accept a statement that is even older than that.
  18. Not really such a big win for the consulate itself. People will come more often, but pay less, since a single-entry visa is cheaper than a multi-entry visa. I'd suspect more people will use the 60-day extension, as they can't do a simple border bounce anymore, so they'll be in Savannakhet every 150 days for a new single-entry visa. Of course it remains to be seen if the single-entry Non-O visa will continue to be available without having to show funds. That might be just transitional, to avoid having to send applicants home empty-handed while this change is news.
  19. It's clear from the OP that he refers to the one year multi-entry Non-O visa based on marriage. People who aren't residents of Laos cannot apply for a multi-entry tourist visa there anyway.
  20. I don't disagree with this measure to promote long-stay tourism, I just don't understand why they chose not to make it available to other nationalities as well. It could have enticed quite a number of snowbirds to stay longer this upcoming winter.
  21. Money doesn't need to be seasoned when applying for a Non-O visa. It does need to be seasoned when applying for an extension. What the OP reports would be in line with literally each and every other Thai consulate and embassy that issues this kind of visa. A big change for Savannakhet if true, but it cannot be dismissed out of hand.
  22. That doesn't exist. They can issue either a single-enry visa or a multi-entry visa. It's worth noting that each 90-day entry with such a Non-O visa based on marriage can be extended by 60 days for "visiting" one's wife, so even a single-entry visa allows quite a long stay in Thailand.
  23. You're supposed to be present in the UK for the duration of the eVisa application process. You might be able to conceal the fact that you're not, but tread carefully. I don't recall any reports on getting a Thai visa in Mumbai. They might not even issue visas to non-residents (of India), best to try to confirm directly with them.
