  1. Lock him up for contempt of court, a few weeks in jail will do him good. He better gets used to it anyway.
  2. Very funny indeed, considering that the country has already been held back for 9 long years by Prawit and his ilk.
  3. Probably the most idiotic reply I've had here in years.
  4. So he assaulted a police officer with a skateboard, and instead of locking him up and prosecuting him, they allowed him to fly back to China? Muppets.
  5. Land border crossings with Myanmar are either closed or could be closed on short notice. Land border crossings with other neighboring countries (Laos, Cambodia, Malaysia) are open.
  6. Even 2nd rate Airbnb hosts can manage to offer self-checkin nowadays. Can't this clown just send Thaksin a prison cell key card for his convenience, should he choose to arrive out of hours? Sorry, but I just cannot take this "Thaksin returns, no really, just wait for it" farce seriously anymore.
  7. Better a leg shorter than a head shorter. Many who are unfortunate enough to be I a motorbike accident in Thailand don't make it out alive.
  8. Your passports will be linked when your new passport will be scanned entering the country. What I don't understand is why you seem to be concerned about this.
  9. Covid? Have you checked the calendar? The answer is NO.
  10. I'm not confusing anything, I mean that some nationalities - including Indian - cannot get the usual 30-day extension to the 60-day stay a tourist visa provides. There have been reports to that effect here and elsewhere for years, so it seems to be a long-standing immigration policy.
  11. I think the OP is correct in saying that Indian nationals cannot get a 30-day extension.
  12. You're right about that, you didn't overstay. If you can get another tourist visa is hard to predict, all you can do is try and hope for the best.
  13. You should have no problem getting a tourist visa.
  14. Your information is outdated. It is now possible to apply for an ordinary visa (E-type visa) using the eVisa website. As a previous poster wrote correctly, the fee is $42. A tourist (T-type) eVisa costs $36.
  15. I agree. I think each first-time longterm extension applicant should be made to undergo a criminal record check, no matter what visa rhey enter with and what the purpose of the extension is. In return, they could make subsequent extensions easier and/or less frequent, it's just a nonsensical paper shuffling exercise in many cases.
  16. Ready for what, exactly? It's become quite clear that nobody wants to fly there. No nearly the numbers they've dreamed up anyway.
  17. There are countries where the "rule of law" exists, and then there are countries like Thailand. It really is that simple.
  18. That would be a horrible outcome, and a slap in the face of most voters.
  19. It's a bilateral agreement between Thailand and Brazil. Such a 90-day visa exempt stay cannot be extended by 30 days in-country and the "2 per calendar year" rule for land border entries doesn't apply. I'm not sure about border runs. They might well count days and/or deny entry. Maybe it would be best to check with a border bounce company, they should know.
  20. You can apply for a 30-day extension in-country, for example at IT Square Laksi again.
  21. Unlimited 30-day border bounces. They can't extend that in-country though, maybe they got tired of all the bouncing around.
  22. This year we will all die from... Ocean Overheating Alright then, the Covid scare is dead, we needed something new. Meh.
