The Dire Consequences of a Potential Russian Victory in Ukraine
Dcheech replied to Social Media's topic in The War in Ukraine
You can get any number of videos on you tube about the Crimean Tartars strange dissapearnces since soviet, oops my bad, Russian control of the Crimea. I believe there is a BBC one floating around also, or a UK network. Common knowledge for those who look for a decade now. -
China has indeed been making out quite well. The war is real life buoy for them as their real estate construction sector has been in free fall. Prince Vlad, had to kowotow to Celestial Leader Xi & hold off invading the Ukraine until AfTeR the Winter Olympics were over. International cooperation at its finest. Vlad knew where his piroshkis were getting buttered.
-
The problem with these repeated threats. After the first couple times, people and countries get used to them. Tough titty Vlad. The Ukraine need to strike some power, oil or natural gas facilities. Grain storage warehouses. Both economic damage and damage the domestic infrastructure so lots of Russians can feel it. It has been a painless war for those in Russia compared to the Ukraine. They need to feel the consequences of their attack in a more forceful way. Not just military funerals and prosthetics shipped from China.

To be expected. Ukraine gets the ok to use western supplied weapons to strike into Russia. Putin will threaten nuke war and or invading all those countries he said he would not invade. Not to worry. Celestial Leader Xi does not want a nuke war, he does not want a massive expansion of the present conflict. Xi is Putin's only ally & sugar daddy. Without the Celestial Empires backing Putin would have to sue for peace in a week. Celestial leader Xi, must be obeyed. Putin has to be PO'd though, at the recent turn of events. Just when Russian forces advanced & conquered more territory. The US congress passes the aid package, Putin was counting on the radical rightwing Republicans in the US Congress to keep it frozen. That hurt. NATO & USA ok Ukraine’s using western supplied weapons to strike inside Russia. Let the average Ivan & Ludmilla know the real cost of this war. Then Trump loses the first of his legal cases. Putin’s one true western ally is not down for the count, but the Ginger Genius’s chances of being president for a 2nd time slide farther off into the gloom. Tough times at Prince Vlads Volga Dacha.

Phi Phi Islands ... Jill St.Onge, Michelle Bergheim, Kuwait & Chinese women, so it is said, and of course the two sisters from Quebec Canada. That is just the ones we know of. Then there is a real possibility that this was the agent involved up in Chiang Mai at a hotel there in this same time period. Amazing isn't it ... you say nothing, lead investigations on wild goose chases, ... smile ... time goes by ... smile .... say nothing .... repeat, repeat, repeat, and it all gets buried. So much for the internet. Knowledge at your finger tips??? Just bury it under layers of more info and 95 per cent of the people will never know. This works for unfortunate misunderstandings with chemicals and strange going on's, like on isla de muerta, across the peninsula, in the gulf of siam.

And Russia, China, ethno nationalist authoritarian states are better?! Good deal you live in the west then. I don't see you making it in China or Russia. You can whinge to high heaven here, but if over there and you did the same, you most likely would get some state approved thought correction or a 'struggle session' therapy. That might be the better alternative, than the 'rehab option' of a volunteer to stop LGBT western godless hordes in the Ukraine. May be old but, mine clearing troops have always had a valued place in the Russian army. They called them 'tramplers'.

Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in World News
I'm over the moon now the trial has wrapped up and the main protagonists can get back to business. Stormy can go back to bIow jobs and the Ginger Genius can continue to amuse the puck of at least half the globe with his delinquent musings. Which is nice. Coffee is up -
Trump found guilty of 34 counts of falsifying business records
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in World News
He has thirty days to file an appeal. Frankly I can't wait for his epic rants, screams, crying & threats, now that gag order is off. He can let fly. This is going to be great viewing! He still can make it, file those appeals, delay trials. What with the two judges who are set for his other cases have been appointed by Trump, so they know who they must Kowtow too. Just like the Republican packed Supreme Court. When you jimmy institutions like they Republicans & Trump have, lots of ways out for a Crim, a Felon, a Liar, A Porn Star banger. Did I mention a low level grifter ... ? -
New Tax Rules for Expats in Thailand Spark Concern
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Exactly. There is no new information at all. However there is one tag line at the bottom which goes pretty far in explaining the true nature of this article. No new information, nothing except vague ... dire warnings & I need to get "professional advice". No Excrement! I guess I knew the hook was coming. Better get in touch with Somchai & Sons, Tax specialist. right after I finish my morning coffee. Aloha- 696 replies

Apology from Pattaya Pub Guards after Assault on Tourists
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
And people were wondering what the effects of 'farang be evil' two month plus media special feature is?! The guards know they can get away with this. The police come up with a ... we can't do anything until charges are filed malarky. They certainly can when they want to, they just do not want to. No surprise there. Only hope is that Brit Tabloids push it hard and tourism suffers a bit. It is the only thing that will get results. Otherwise .... all smiles from the beatdown crew. Only thing missing from this OP our resident Thai apologists. I hope some post up before I finish my coffee. -
"Feted" right. The US had a laugh about it. They did give Iraq pictures from satellites of Iranian defensive positions. That is it. They certainly did not "fete" him. It was not in the US interests to have Iran win. Saddam, who started the war, was teetering on the brink of losing. Tin pot dictators are never good military commanders. Kuwait, The Gulf States and Saudi all loaned truckloads a money to Saddam so he could buy Soviet equipment & parts. Things only got ugly when they wanted the loans paid back. And Saddam started another war. As for this OP. Thailand and the US went their separate ways after the 97 meltdown. Thailand somehow thought the US should come riding to the rescue, when they didn't. It took awhile but Thailand eventually found another sugar daddy. Thai media or shills bring it up, that there is a struggle going on, to stir the pot. Ten years ago, when they were doing the judicial coup against Yingluck and bearing down on the real one it came up, again only to distract. With the ongoing economic problems China is facing, yes we are living in dangerous times. Authoritarian states like nothing better to fan the flames of nationalism or conflict, to distract their own population from internal or economic problems. Exactly what they are doing with Taiwan. In a situation like that no one knows what could happen.

Thailand was Japans ally. The only reason there were a couple fire fights during the Japanese invasion was because Pibul had gone missing in the moment of crisis so no one could tell the army to stand down. Pibul had a habit of getting lost in moments like this. There was never a surrender, there was five hours of fighting & then a stand down order issued. Japan & Thailand then had an alliance which made Thailand a member of the Axis Alliance. BTW Thailand had initiated a couple border skirmishes with the french in 1940, which Japan then helped negotiate and got back some Cambodian provinces. They already had a working relationship prior to December 8 1941. Likely Thailand thought they could get something for nothing, Japan had other ideas.

900-year-old Statue Returns to Thailand After Decades in New York
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
You are saying Thai Prime Minister Chan-Ocha DID NOT, bring back the blue & assorted other gems when he visited Saudi Arabia in early 2022 to normalize relations after thirty years in the freezer?? Experts claim relations could not be normalized by any other method, than the return of those items & the Thai Prime Minister had to do so in person. -

Thailand Lowers Flags to Half-Mast for President Raisi
Dcheech replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Good to see all is forgiven. 14 February 2012 bomb explosions; a botched attempt by Iranian Nationals to kill Israeli Embassy people. Lets face it excrement can happen when you do terror attacks. Things can go wrong. It is not all hacking apart foreign workers in Gaza with farm implements while chanting allah akbar, and what fun that (!) No, somedays the bombs just go off when you are running from the police in Bangkok and there go your legs too. Good to know that is all water under the bridge as far as Thailand is concerned. -

Trump Pledges to Cut Federal Funding for Schools with Vaccine Mandates
Dcheech replied to Social Media's topic in World News
This is not about the [COVID] vaccinations. My state, as most (all?) other states never had a mandatory public school [COVID] vaccination policy. Just Trump trying to scrounge votes & playing the great divider again; If I am elected I promise four more years of Culture Wars ... I promise to divide ... I promise chaos & what fun 😐 Good deal you are living in The Land Of The Long White Cloud. -

Decade-Old Thai Rice Sale Concerns Amid Contamination Fears
Dcheech replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
And feed it to dear brother.. As I recall Yingluck was unable to sell the rice because the judicial coup froze her government for six months prior to the real thing. Don't get me wrong, their rice scheme was as hairbrained as the Hunt brothers trying to corner silver, in the early 80's. Still they could sell it and at least cut their losses. That had to be stopped. After, gangrene had ten years to sell the rice. That is the last thing they cared about. Stuff those upcountry rice farmers who vote the wrong way. Let it rot. -
