That's pretty unfair, they didn't want everybody turning up at the same time, it has caused more Chaos than help in previous disasters, things need to be coordinated. This is why other countries were waiting to be 'invited' by the Turkish Government. This is not just about finding survivors, but the dead too. those that did survive need help. Also the dead need to be moved from the streets.

Arriving by plane, should be no problem, you should get 45days on entry. i.e. VOE.

Yes 2months before applying, some will say keep it for 3 months before reducing it, as it takes one month 'under consideration' ( I think this is where some think it is 3 months) but in 5yrs Immigration have NEVER checked my account again after I applied. just saying.

The 'Yellow' bank, aka Krungsri bank, this year has only taken 20min down from 45min to get a years statement and letter. once you have a one year extension, you can open a "MEE TAE'' account that pays 0.9% interest, 2 free withdraws a month over that 50b fee.

Trat today; went to get my marriage extension stamp after the consideration period, did a drive by at 10am jeez queues outside, nah I'll come back after lunch, still queues, dropped the wife off, with with my PP, she had to wait 1hr, place was full with Tourists and Foreign labourers, very unusual for Trat IO to be full. Oh well 1yr before I have to go back -
