Russian is right to demand the matter to be settled in court, most of the times it's cheaper than what is asked by the other parties
Even Thai's know that, a friend of mine got stopped one night, well over the limit, and the police wanted 40,000 Baht, he told them to f off he'll spend the night in jail and go to court in the morning, 5000 baht fine,

Years ago a bar on Sukhumvit would give out free shots of Lao Kao out of a barrel.
Was always suspicious of that stuff. Who the hell knows what it’s made of or what used to be stored in that container.
All the slops would go in that barrel,

It would be the same in the UK if the motorbike rider, had no license or insurance, he would lose the claim, we don't know the Russian just might be 100% legal, I have known a couple of English guys walk away from an accident because the Thai's had no license and the police could not do a thing about it,
One accident I know of years ago a farang hired a truck and had accident with a minivan full of farangs doing a visa run, none of them had insurance, the rented truck or the minivan, the police tried to stick it on the farang with the truck, he didn't know it had no insurance when he hired it, and that minivan had been all the way to Sadao and back with no insurance,

From the very early days of driving in Thailand I was always told don't get involved with Thai's right or wrong, let the insurance guys sort it out, Thai attitude "Farang pay"
Who remembers the days when you had to display the insurance disc in the windscreen? well I had a bump with a poo ying driver it was her fault and my truck caved her car in, turns out she didn't any insurance, she's standing there pointing to my insurance, you have 1st class insurance we claim on yours, Not happening,

A well publicized case in Olongapo, Philippines a few years ago where a LB picked up a young Marine. Her LB friend told her to tell him, but she wouldn't. She was found, dead, in the hotel room with her head in the toilet.
I remember that story,

They know what they are doing, by not telling the punter their true gender, it's about how convincing they look, It's expensive being a Ladyboy so they need money,

Haven't been in a bar in almost 35 years, and I stand by my post, some people just have blinders on.

The people of Thailand will first need three things to happen before anything will change, none of which are present in Thai culture. In fact, number 3 below is so far down the list of importance to Thai people that it doesn't even register in their brains.
1) Common sense
2) Care for ones safety
3) Care for the safety of others
You obviously have met the wrong people, stay out of bars,

Im no expert, but having lived in Phuket for at least 20 years and how the place has expanded and grown I wouldn't mind guessing there is nowhere near enough police to control traffic, we live in the south of the island in Rawai the police station that covers this area is Chalong so from Chalong how big is that area to police? at the moment we are only talking about traffic control, As far as I know it covers Kata and Karon.
Also have you guys seen them ad's on Facebook groups? Getting a Thai license, you don't need to go to the test center, they do it all for you, and are saying it's 100% legal, how can it be legal if you didn't sit the exam yourself? So licenses are being issued here in Phuket to people not qualified,
I just found one of these ad's on FB, i cut the contact details out,
Make a legal driving license 100% No need to come to the transport office to take the test yourself. We will take the test for you

- T.3. 4,500 baht

Nothing will change the 48 a day death total on Thai roads for a long time.
Only yesterday I saw a mother breast feeding her baby on the back of a motorbike travelling at speed.
Did you get a photo?

I would say it's none of your business, it's a tricky situation and I do know a few trans sexual, personally and I have asked them questions if they meet a guy do they tell them, they all say no,
I have heard some horror stories about when they do find out and it's not good, one guy in Patong committed suicide after he had been seeing this trans for 3 months,

I'm a member at Villa only. I collect pts and tell the cashier when I want to use them for discount.
Is that the same system at Makro, BIG C and 7-Eleven or do they discount a little every time you shop there automatically? 🤔
I dont know about Villa market, sometimes you can mix and match, I leave it all to my wife, I know Sunday morning we got 10% discount in Starbucks, I don't know where that came from as we don't spend that much in there,, could have come from PTT on petrol, they have a points card there, even your mobile phone, we are on AIS monthly contract, they offer alsorts,
