I bought a second hand condo in central Bkk. At first AGM several old issues raise their heads. Just one, 2 old Chinese-Thai condo owners were asked to show 2 Thai bank savings accounts which held funds built over many years for future maintenance. They totally refused. At the same meeting a new owners committee was formed including a famous senior cop who was admired for his long-term stand against corruption and he spoke advanced English. He asked for further details re the bank books and one of the old ladies insisted that she would neve show the bank books because there ws several farng condo owners; she was convinced all farang are dangerous and dishonest. The cop told the old ladies that they did not own the funds and they must comply with a request of many owners to see the bank books. They refused. Cop started legal action to force exhibiting of the bank books. That worked but in reality the total funds in the 2 savings accounts was in total under 10,000Baht.

Do Thai Men Have Any Level Of Emotional Maturity?
scorecard replied to SoCal1990's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Serious answer: grow up, your comment is totally infantile. Plenty of Thai men in my own extended family and students in my uni classes over many years (bachelor age group and masters age group and those I have coached to gain heir Ph.D.) who are emotionally very balanced and full of mature respect. What's your next beef - too much chily... -
Politics Paetongtarn in Turmoil: Thai PM's Popularity Nosedives in Poll

Still one shin family member not yet sayin the PM's big chair, the son. He has lots of baggage, been involved in corruption and nepotism, collusion and whatever, thrown out of 2 Thai unis for cheating, and he's not all that right. But I won't be surprised if Thaksin get's him into the PM's chair. -
Been said before, much more education is needed about traffic laws and stopping every time at zebra crossings is near the top of the list. I lectured at several Tai universities which had many foreign exchange student for many years. Always English programs and the thais in the program had to speak read / comprehend advanced English. Several times a foreign exchange student would ask 'why don't vehicles stop at pedestrian crossings'. On one occasion one German boy said 'In Europe every vehicles has to stop every time, that's the aw and its serious. One loud Thai girl responded loudly 'that's not possible it would disrupt the flow of traffic too much and I don't want to stop.' Several exchange students, angered, said 'have to stop in Europe and every driver knows it'. Loud Thai girl repeated 'that's not possible it would disrupt the flow of traffic too much.' Another Thai girl said 'I will ask my uncle he's a senior Thai policemen and he speaks English. She called, cop pleasantly said 'the law on this is the same in Thailand as in Europe, Japan, Singapore, USA, Australia and more, but much more education of Thai drivers is needed. Loud mouth girl made no further comment.

Only one problem for me, I got banned many years ago for having 2 fb accounts with the same name. How that happened I have no idea. Fb say they cannot fix the problem, have to stay in 'banned' status. I get the OAP transferred to K Bank every 4 weeks. So it does seem it would be of interest to me. If any member has a summary of the contents would you please share. Thanks, appreciated. -

And no clue how to deal with anything. What has she actually said / done to defuse / cancel this situation? Nothing. -
But it's close to impossible to talk to AirAsia by phone or by email. Only possibility would be to scan their options and see if it's possible to pay a 'change date of return' fee in advance.

Nobody here can give you a clear answer, it depends on many factors and different airlines have different policies, on everything. As already mentioned talk direct to your chosen airline.

Relocating to Thailand from the US ? - Bear this in mind

Here's another example. Several months back I was shopping at Rimping on the river supermarket. A foreigner I had never seen before was suddenly standing right in front of me , with his MAGA cap. He said instantly 'I hope you're supporting our donnie'. I responded 'I'm not American', he responded 'you can still support donnie'. I continued 'I'm not up for this discussion, bye'. -

In some countries yes. -
In other words her priority is politeness to anybody in any country who is senior to her. And note, in her call to Mr. Hun Sen in Cambodia she tried to belittle the Thai opposition - absolutely and totally inappropriate and unethical. Her father seems to think he can re-establish her as a viable and capable Thai PM. Reality is that this is NOT his business.

I'm a boomer - 80 years old a few months ago. I have no faith in correct / honest / unbiased news reporting from both old and new news reporting services, both domestic and international. Also I don't follow 'news' reports on any social media. I gather whatever detail I can muster and they make my own decision as to what the truth is. But I'm interested to know what the OP means by 'alternative media'.
