Report Thailand to Introduce Flexible Dress Code for School Scout Uniforms
scorecard replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Which brings up the question: What do boys learn from attending scout activities? I recall a brit guy who had 2 boys attending primary at an international school in Chiang Mai. On the days for scout activities the 2 boys had to wear full scout uniform (checked thoroughly for compliance) and for several hours sit on the grass in rows and talk to each other and allowed to surf the internet / use social media. One teacher was on hand to ensure the boys remained seated in rows and weren't too noisy, there was no lesson. -

Plenty of men shave or use a delap cream to remove all pubic and under arm hair every few days. Delap cream takes 5 minutes, all done. Why not. (delap - delipatory, available in pharmacies world wide, Veet, Nair.)

Accident Dramatic Skid: Air Force C-130 Veers Off Samui Runway
scorecard replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
I returned to Australia from active service in Vietnam on a C130. Landed in Darwin then Adelaide. Very long flights. C130s had no sound proofing, the noise during flight was beyond belief, making it totally impossible to conduct any conversation with anybody let alone the person you were jammed against. However while braking the noise was even much louder. No ear plugs issued. Landed at Adelaide airport at about 2:30 am, then bus to Army HQ in the city in Adelaide to be greeted by severe foul abuse by a mid aged fat civilian woman who complained that she and her staff (about 5 or 6) had to get out of bed early to come to the office process our arrival documents. 'Why didn't you take a flight in daytime hours?' One of the boys asked if he could use the coffee facilities to make a cup of coffee. Another abusing civilian woman responded 'Did you put your money in the coffee jar this month? Of course not, so no coffee'. -

Nobody has proved they are gay, just an unproven silly assumption by a poster. -

Why would you assume they are gay? -
Nowadays extraordinary cheap fares with several stopovers can mean: - Several airlines involved. - Passenger has to collect their own check-in luggage at first (and other) arrival points, go through passport stamping to enter the arrival country, then go to airline check-in area to confirm booking / confirm a a seat number t and to check-in big luggage. Then go back to passport area to depart that transit country. BUT When I explored this is discovered that I needed to get a visa in advance of arrival to be able to enter the 'transit' country and probably have to pay the standard visa (cost ?). I emailed the airline I would have to transit to and asked if they offer any assistance at all. Answer 'NO, your problem'.

Well there's a crazy way too long ridiculous tirade with many things mentioned factually incorrect.

Here's a twist. An old buddy from Oz has just completed the 2 years back in Oz to get the OAP and portability. He worked in LOS for around 18 years with WP for the same employer but WP expired after he left Thailand and went back to Oz. Now soon back to LOS and a job all arranged with a similar employer, with WP. He's found an agent to investigate whether he'll need to now complete 3 years with WP with same employer (starting soon as per paragraph just above). Agent spoke to someone in Gov't. connected to PR matters (I don't know who) who advised 'more WPs not needed, the existing 18 years of WPs will very likely be accepted as proof of WPs'. (Taxes all paid). My understanding was that PR applicants has to hold a WP at time of application and had to prove they had held the same WP for current and 3 preceding years. Comments appreciated.

My Thai family Thai son and his Thai wife both very well educated (and 4 kids) are very careful about using any medications. Son's old school buddy is a doctor at one of the bigger hospitals here in Chiang Mai. Son called him 20 minutes ago and asked 'is Melatonin banned or restricted, does patient need a document to buy it?' Dr. said 'let me check and I'll call you back'. Then the return call: - Yes it was restricted about 3 years back but after perhaps 3 months the restriction was withdrawn. - He also shared, the Health ministry website re medicines is vague and confusing on this item and it seems that the restriction was never justified. - Dr. called a friend (a qualified / experienced pharmacist, snr. professional staff member at a big serious Pharma chain in Thailand, he confirmed the restriction was imposed then quickly removed several years back. I've bought Melatonin several times on LINE shopping sites in the last 2 or 3 years. No mention of restrictions.
