  1. Well yes, lots of discussion. However I see that as 'pie in the sky', somewhat similar to 'virgin birth' and 'rose from the dead after 3 days' and 'parted the river' etc.
  2. "...There were 2 assassination attempts on trump..." Not so sure about that. Additional photos and dialogue indicate there is no evidence that his ear was grazed or penetrated or damaged etc. Close up photos reveal no damage whatever to his ear / no change in his skin texture etc. Just more trump blatant very misleading lies.
  3. There's always the argument - do you (the public) want anybody (police or otherwise) involved in high speed chases (on motorcycles or in cars) on public roads?
  4. Yeah but there has to be an agent / middleman involved in the purchase. How else could it be?
  5. OK, but is that a very thorough check / inspection? NO it's not.
  6. "... The MSM media, particularly in the us are Democrat backing activists, they lie, racebait and have been caused the divide in the country, along with the likes of Hillary Clinton and top level Democrats. ... " And trump doesn't do any of that? You can't be serious.
  7. You're crazy. Maybe but if it is a bomber that passenger could probably devise a way to bypass the initial security check.
  8. Yep and I hope the trip itinerary allowed plenty of personal shopping days for her entourage between the 'working days'.
  9. Apply the same to trump re the hundreds of lies he's sprouted about others over the last many years.
  10. I recall an office (another company) near mine, suddenly several police visiting. Turned out the 3 or 4 office staff had all regularly given the new office girl their ATM numbers and PIN numbers with an instruction to go to the bank branch they all used downstairs and withdraw cash 500 to 15,000Baht. Several times all of the staff asked the new girl to go to the ATM, all saying 'get my card from my handbag, you have my PIN number already. Then suddenly the new office girl didn't come to work, one older office staff went to her handbag to get her ATM card. It was missing. The other 2 or 4 office staff checked, all ATM cards missing. The boss went to the bank branch downstairs, spoke to a supervisor who revealed the account balance of the company boss was reduced by 60,000Baht (30,000 daily limit X 2). She called the other 3 staff to quickly come downstairs to the bank, bank balance for all of them was zero, 8,000Baht and 5,000Baht disappeared. My HR manager had a conversation with one of the police, turned out the business next door didn't have any details at all for the new girl: no full name, no address, no phone no. etc. Why?, Because they had a policy of updating all their personnel and other records at the end of the month, not the day new staff started or before they started. Police couldn't get any details for the new girl. Case closed.
  11. No doubt there's at least a dozen more illegal brothels in Khon Kaen, have they been raided and charged?
  12. "...and growing discontent..." Should red 'growing extreme discontent' and the PM has no idea how to handle it and has now cancelled the 10,000Baht election promise and now travelling so too busy to fix the economy.
  13. But trump insisted covid was fake.
  14. I hope they have checked for the documents at mar a la go.
  15. Safety of the installation people also needs big attention. In the photo I see a light rope with a simple knot and wound around another line. If this is to prevent the installation man from falling down seems to be very inadequate for the task.
  16. Sat on the edge of the helicopter door frame (doors removed) and with feet on the landing skids during my time in the Vn conflict and carrying a rifle and ammunition and sometimes also a machine gun and linked ammunition belts, plus rations, water etc. There was some simple easy safety harness. As the helicopter was quickly getting lower and closer to the ground always a very strong concern that we would be fired on from ground level below. In a word 'terrifying'.
  17. Hi Sheryl, Thanks for clarifying this. I have no doubt you have much more knowledge on this than I do. I'm aware of one western AseanNow member who had comprehensive health insurance with Manuxxxx (in fact he was a senior employee of Manuxxxx for 40 years (across 5 different countries, mostly in Asia) and continued his health cover (he paid) when he retired in Pattaya. Last 4 years in and out of hospital many times in Pattaya. Manuxxxx increased his premium annually and several time during each year but always after very long periods of hospitalization in ICU. And another westerner (from EU but lived in Pattaya for several decades), very very wealthy. His very long-term health insurer (famous big EU insurance company) renewed his policy when he turned 76 but advised him no further renewals, even at higher premiums. Early in the final year of his police he was hospitalized for 2 weeks. The company sent a bill for an additional 15% premium for the remainder of that year. As said above he had been with this health insurer for decades with a very small number of claims for small amounts, when they asked for 15% more he was very pissed off and said no and asked for a refund for the balance of the premium already paid for that final year. Ins. company refused. As said he's a very wealthy man, he employs full time: a maid, a cook, a driver, and an accountant. He asked his accountant to search around for a Thai hospital with a good reputation and charges not too expensive. A gov't. hospital at Sri Racha was selected, both the foreigner and his acct. went to the hospital and talked to a senior person and got a list of typical charges which weren't too bad, they asked if i was possible to pay an annual premium. Answer was no. But the hospital acct said 'I can join you as a member and make a note that any charges will not be at a cost any higher than Thai people. He joined. Now 81 years old, he's never been ill since the visit to the Sri Racha hospital.
  18. Imagine your kids / family kids / neighbors kids starving and becoming just skin and bones when there's hundreds of aid giant trucks of food, medicines etc., parked a few km away.
  19. If you keep using your international based health insurance at Bumrumgrad the insurance company will increase your premiums.
  20. If it's a foreigner with PR the card says 'cheewit, meaning lifetime.
  21. Depends on the branch. A few years back I went to to my K Bank branch at Big C Don Chan Chiang Ma, I had been issued a new passport. I tried to use my old passport number for something and it was rejected because the bank records showed the passport had expired. So I went to my bank to give them / show them my new passport number. The teller supervisor (excellent English) saw my pink card and instantly asked 'is this for Thai PR?' I confirmed it was. Bank supervisor then said 'the bank now prefers to record your Thai pink card number, not your passport number because the Thai id number is for lifetime so it can never expire and you will never have to update it, which means less computer transactions over a long period and no chance of rejection because the number has expired by date. . She then took my pink card read the Thai ID number to the teller who typed it immediately into the bank database. She also mentioned 'other banks are now doing the same thing.' Supervisor then returned the pink card and new passport to me.
  22. Nice point. One can only hope trumps team has constructed some much better / more solid / more focused / more meaningful points to throw at putin. And it frightens putin / threaten putin of some long-term very severe consequences. But ...
  23. OK but no detail of total time for the trip nor details of speed.
