Thailand has the highest number of privately owned guns in ASEAN
Bday Prang replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
How would any research project, establish the number of guns , was it a telephone survey? or online survey ? or were they over here knocking in doors and asking people? Or maybe yet another "fine" example of "mathematical modelling " " the graduate institute of international and development studies in geneva" ??? sounds very impressive but how could they possibly know Why was the "survey" not conducted in partnership with the authorities here, that way as the guns were found they could have been confiscated . Usual academic rubbish producing worthless figures in my opinion -

I have a Thai mate who is a building contractor he has 2 younger brothers who work in the same industry (all independent of each other) All three had been working in Laos for about 3 years before Covid and have recently returned there They seem to be having some success both work wise and with the ladies. They view Lao women as "unspoilt" compared to Thai women in a similar way that many of us westerners consider Thai women unspoilt by the toxic feminism of the west

Thai hotels don't require to see a marriage cert who told you that? -
not sure if that work's available for foreigners, but I saw something on the news a few nights ago where a Thai woman was paying 100,000 per month for the services of a Bar boy ( or "bar host" ) as they called him His hourly rate was 2500 baht . She was not bad looking either I would have done her for free

seems nearly every week some hitherto unknown publication publishes an advertisement for Thailand quoting some fictional figures from imaginary people as part of the spiel . The correct response is to just ignore it all, Where people find the energy / inclination to vehemently agree or disagree with the obvious b/s is a mystery to me. As is the possibility that somebody might arrange a holiday based on what they have read in a magazine which they probably found in a dentists waiting room or whilst waiting for their car to be serviced or wherever else these rags end up prior to their final resting place

Hua Hin to get high speed train by 2032

I know exactly what you mean -
"For just a few hundred baht they make great presents so that the aged can listen to music and the lottery while in the fields as well as get important emergency information if necessary." Whilst their bone idle offspring lie in hammocks all day either drunk or playing on their smartphones waiting for their mother to come home so they can be fed

Gov’t extends NHS health coverage for elderly
Bday Prang replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
depends what they class as elderly, but out here in the sicks there always seems to be some women gossiping to the mother in law about the errant ways of theirs or others' husbands many of whom are in their 70's My father in law was in the bad books a few years ago he was 76 (still has do do his own laundry lol) and his brother in law makes no secret of his mia noy ( who his wife is fully aware of, but blames it all on the existence of a tamarind tree in front of the house, that he won;t chop down!!) There's loads of them at it , and their kids , grandkids , and possibly even grand kids are no better lol There is also an oldish woman who is known to arrange "introductions" for a fee of course The young generation are obviously going at it bareback evidence being all the bloody kids they pop out, I doubt the oldies are any different after 1/2 bottle of lao khao ! so you might be surprised ! Must be something in the air maybe, -

Danish inmate has died in Klong Prem prison in Bangkok

I agree with the legalisation of all drugs , 99.9% of the problems faced by societies due to drugs are caused by the illegality once that aspect is removed most of the associated societal problems disappear Many people suffering from the effects of alcohol and cigarettes were hooked before smoking was considered to be so dangerous, and have also contributed to the system through the tax they have paid , although anybody taking up the habit today has really no excuse. Then there is the problem of obesity and heart disease, often self inflicted, and all the other ailments due to over consumption of fat, and especially, sugar which must surely place at least a similar load on health systems I am sure that the money wasted on the "war" on drugs could have paid for enough doctors and hospitals to look after everybody that requires treatment. -
