  1. Don't forget about "the guy who compiles idiotic lists"
  2. I don't worry about any of the above, and have never put anybody on ignore
  3. How on earth did the above comment get a "thumbs down" I seem to attract a solitary thumbs down on nearly every post I make recently, I think I'm being stalked by a real sad case
  4. Really? So whats the chances that an online girl is still a hooker? quite high I would think
  5. doubtful as most are in their 70's the spirit is willing but the flesh will be weak
  6. indeed, The OP headline should have started with "yet another"
  7. my latest online order was placed on friday 11/7 no problems at all
  8. A quick look on google says not unfortunately although that was just what the AI spewed out its not Thai specific "Unlike joint owners, a signatory's authority ends upon the account holder's death, and they have no automatic right to the account's funds. Thought it was too good to be true, thanks for the quick response though
  9. exactly. but too many westerners were "brought up correctly" and just can't adapt to life here, continually making problems for themselves by doing what they think is "the right thing"
  10. I don't think they would know anything if you died outside of Thailand if you're not a Thai citizen there is no need to tell anybody here.
  11. Somewhat rashly I assumed there is no new requirement for the extension funds to originate from abroad. At least I haven't heard of any changes Can anybody confirm? So can I make the wife a signatory on my Bangkok Bank standard savings account? I'm guessing she just makes the invisible signature thing in the passbook Presumably she wouldn't be able to have her name printed in the book as that would render it useless for immigration ? Sounds like a joint account in all but name, is there any real difference other than immigration compliance? what can she actually do as a signatory? is she able to withdraw funds after I died? if thats the case I won't need a Will as all I have here is cash in the bank, everything else is in her name I just don't like the thought of 400,000 bt being "untouchable" for what could be months or even years Please tell me more, I've got some surgery next monday and I'm trying to tie up a few loose ends "just in case"
  12. Frank Zappas lyrics were on another level, To be honest it was a bit much for me and I was never a fan. However he was also an amazing virtuoso level guitarist and a highly intelligent guy. just a bit too weird
  13. Yes indeed but that to$$er dave lee roth deserves no credit for the song. Its older than he is,
  14. Better just to die and leave them penniless then in your opinion, Quite often when a person dies there is a hospital bill to settle up along with all the other expenses, how would a widowed partner now pay for that without access to money ?
  15. I know this won't apply to the OP as he's not married But would a partial solution for somebody on a marriage extension not be to keep their funds in either the wife's account, or a joint account that she can access after ones death for most of the year, and then only transfer the 400,000 into ones own account when applying for the extension, Once the extension is approved transfer the cash back to the account she can access if one dies. ? Its not perfect as most of us won't know when our time is up but 9 or 10 months out of 12 isn't bad odds
  16. There is nothing to stop a beneficiary from being an executor, I think you are confusing witnesses with executors , A witness cannot be a beneficiary but an Executor can
  17. lets not forget the legendary Fred Wedlock and this classic. "when it takes all night to do what you used to do all night..." classic lyric
  18. only the psycho ones though no great loss
  19. Well nobody is perfect and that includes the President , he is after all only human, , I don't think he is anymore corrupt or inept than any other President, He is by nature a business man, he doesn't speak the same language as the career politicians, and they do not understand his methods but hey give the guy a chance, Its in everybody's interest that he is successful in his endeavours unless one happens to be an illegal immigrant that is. The majority of the media and his staunch and very vocal opponents focus exclusively on anything negative he says or does ,any positives are rarely reported, he is the devil incarnate for his actions regarding the illegals according to them, Perhaps they should focus on why a certain group of misguided people are so keen to invite illegal criminal aliens, who hate them , to reside in the USA and why this minority of leftists hate their own culture as much as they do I also hear daily about how he has destroyed women's rights ! is that solely due to his anti abortion views, all the whinging about women not having "control" over their own bodies anymore ! If only women exercised their "control" by utilising normal birth control methods, there would be little need for abortions, which are by anybody's standards a rather questionable medical procedure. So lets hear some criticism of these stupid women who are unable to understand basic contraception. Of course, its not their fault , it never is, Its so much easier to blame it all on the wicked President
  20. Except that "Trump Followers" what ever that actually means, have achieved their aim and he is now president again! I fail io see what his critics seek to gain by this constant attacking of the President and those who voted for him Was there any need to mention Trump in this thread ? I guess you like many others just can't help it, what did you expect to achieve by mentioning Trump? A round of applause from like minded others?
  21. Many manage to fit in with multiple examples of those given above, Which ones apply to the OP. ? Its a bit weird taking the time and effort to compile a list like that. I'm pretty certain he's a "none of those traits belong to me because I'm special" kind of guy
  22. Regarding these activists, I'm not sure that they consider themselves to be gods chosen people but they certainly manage to convince themselves that only they are right and anybody who disagrees with them is basically evil. They seem to be easily manipulated and unquestioningly believe what they are told by their puppet masters on social media. no need for any debate or critical thinking on their behalf, most are incapable of that anyway. Many of the placards they carry bear a striking similarity and it would suggest are mass produced, so some body is obviously organising and directing these useful idiots The use of fear is endemic its either in the message they try to put out like "just stop oil" with their "we are all going to die" mantra or its generated simply by the presence of an aggressive mob as with the Palestine crowd
  23. Except that generally speaking following a band or a sports team or even membership of a cult, does not tend to consume people with such a venomous hatred for the rest of society,
  24. Steven Hawkins was also a visitor to the Island, I doubt he was up to no good, but there again.......
