  1. Obviously they are not placing foreigners "under surveillance" they have neither the time or the resources. What they are indicating , regardless of the translation, is a more visible and pro active presence in certain areas. Joe bloggs in nakon nowhere can rest easy. Cannot think why the headline would be worded that way, honest I can't
  2. Spoken just like retired headmasters
  3. not the case in the uk most of the woke media outlets go out if their way to avoid mentioning ethnicity........"a british national" being a common descriptive that tells us all we need to know
  4. Lets not forget that the "degrees" in Thailand are not necessarily always awarded on a merit based system, depending on ones family / wealth they are handed out like confetti, failure is not an option for those with the correct surnames. This can be rather worrying , I was recently admitted to hospital for emergency surgery, which was cancelled last minute due to a lack of available blood in the blood bank. A lesser simpler procedure was carried out, the following day a "doctor" presumably degree qualified, explained to me in "Pidgeon" english ( even my mrs was sniggering) that "farang " blood was always rare commodity ! I kid you not
  5. Two stokes are not "banned" in the west , rather they are no longer fitted to new vehicles, (just like in Thailand)! Its perfectly legal to use a two stroke motorcycle in the UK or any other two stroke powered machine
  6. lovely clear air here in Surin this morning, as usual. I'm wondering what all the fuss is about
  7. Their contribution is far less than a drop in the ocean, as Tuk Tuks are not powered by two stroke petrol engines they are powered by gas (LPG) When was the last time either of you two geniuses saw a Tuk Tuk spewing out smoke ?
  8. You can't see his eyes, ever, Scary bloke
  9. like anybody should believe anything either of those two say
  10. Is that both "private eye" readers or just one of them
  11. you can get a 90 day non O in your own country without a Thai bank account and use that to open an account o your arrival here. Not that difficult in theory at least
  12. where are they all coming from? What countries? its not necessarily the result of any changes to the visa free system.
  13. lovely place 30 years ago, dread to think what its become,
  14. Highly unlikely
  15. they will be made in china not america
  16. I doubt anybody, anywhere, actually knows the answer despite what some may claim. I wouldn't worry too much
  17. I'm fully aware of that, I was just pointing out that the invitation letter was no longer a prerequisite
  18. when i applied for mine back in August the invite letter was not required, there was nowhere to upload it either
