  1. Nowhere does it say that a tourist cannot drive using their own licence with and IDP so quick access to Thai roads is not affected. Although the article is very badly written and for some reason seems to be trying to imply that a Thai licence is required for anybody wishing to drive. just scaremongering
  2. Never a truer statement made the amount of mis information is staggering. and most of it is presented as official. Research via google is pointless for that reason. If you want to learn more you'll have to befriend a few amiable users. there's plenty about
  3. That must be because of the "gateway effect" people have obviously all moved on to "hard" drugs
  4. There is a lot of weed around of dubious quality, It is Thailand after all so it shouldn't surprise anybody As to whether it makes one sleepy, well that's a question with a complicated answer. It depends on many things, It can do depending on the weed itself, the mood of the user, amongst other things I'm assuming you don't smoke it yourself ? But I would take most of what I hear about it with a pinch of salt there are a lot of people talking a lot of rubbish on platforms like you tube and tik tok
  5. Duh !! Have you never , even for a moment , considered that 100 years of government anti cannabis propaganda, consisting almost totally of mis information and scaremongering nonsense may just have had some influence. Not forgetting the unpleasant consequences of a drugs conviction, "most" people whether you agree or not are very susceptible to that sort of thing and it will take several generations before its all forgotten
  6. I reckon any health benefits from red wine come from the grapes used to make it. I doubt fermentation has much to do with it
  7. Indeed and after years and years of being criminalised for smoking many long term users have simply become accustomed to smoking discreetly at home. I know I certainly have smoking it in a bar feels to me as weird as drinking alcohol in the house. Certainly not everybody who smokes it likes to advertise the fact so essentially the OP has no idea how many people like to indulge The same goes for all the useless surveys that have been commissioned over the years
  8. A bit like those who drink red wine for imaginary health benefits
  9. most people don't drink either, even though its legal. I can't see the point of the op
  10. and NOT farang either so you might as well say that too......Stop digging yourself deeper
  11. Did you actually read the OP ? It clearly states the guy was a national of Myanmar
  12. A national disgrace of epic proportions, It must have cost millions so some people will have done very nicely out of it all. As far as I am concerned, any politician or local authority official including or rather especially Starmer (what with his legal background) that interfered in this matter have shown what disgusting characters they really are , hardly fit to govern others, and should at least be banned from politics and or public office for life and in many cases should face criminal charges The police are hardly blameless either, but to a large degree their hands were tied, as they have their policies on matters like this dictated by politicians at both local and national level which is just plane wrong
  13. I got a friend request on line from our postwoman. they are all at it
  14. there was also mass hysteria fuelled by the media and other scaremongers, still is to this day.
  15. what about those who have had covid already ? their immunity is rarely mentioned
  16. a fraction of what the UK spent on its "world leading" track and trace disgrace, we'll never know the full amount
  17. you won't know until you try, but rest assured, some will
  18. So even a blind man should see that something is seriously wrong. As usual it will come down to lefties wasting the money that successive governments have donated without checks or conditions in place to control how it is spent
  19. I always thought In golf the idea is to make the least strokes, you actually lost, quite heavily, but it appears nobody could be bothered telling you
  20. like anywhere else some girls do and some girls don't. Just bear in mind that on the military courses some caddies are soldiers wives who may not welcome advances being made
  21. Why the thinly veiled accusation of racism? According to the OP the "authorities" are continuing to investigate the incident. Clearly the drunken father is responsible, what would you like the authorities response to be?
  22. This applies to not only to Thai police but to every police force around the world. Its not limited to the police either , any large organisation will act in a similar way , look at the hospitals , plenty of cover ups there, governments too. Its human nature
  23. It does not specify synthetic cannabis, more than likely refers to fentanyl or similar synthetic opioid
