  1. Sadly, i hear it's just folded 🙄
  2. Some years ago (2019) I had a badly blocked ear in Pattaya and a doctor prescribed (sold) me Sodium Bicarbonate ear drops to clear wax. Small bottle (eough for at least 20 applications) was 170 Baht. I still use them to this day - I bought a supply back to UK with me. Show this to a pharmacist
  3. "Rock Hard" bar, Patong, Phuket, 2004
  4. What a prick.....
  5. Absolutely! 👍
  6. Dunno - he looks in a right state to me 😂
  7. Where's Schrodinger?
  8. Regarding the scrip - In principle yes, BUT... I take several heart meds prescribed by my NHS doctor, I have a friend who takes the same ones. Earlier this year we both independently took a list of our meds into different pharmacies in Thailand and were told that we could buy a months supply of any of them, no questions. But as for research, I couldn't agree more 👍
  9. I agree - these people are beyond stupid. I have to take some prescription meds regularly, and bring 2 months supply with me on my trips to Thailand. I always carry them openly in my carry-on and have an up to date prescription with me - and these are drugs that one can buy in pharmacies in Thailand! Can't be too careful.🤔
  10. A movie i watched a week before my first ever trip to the Middle East! If I had been tempted to smuggle drugs, which i never was, it would certainly have made me reconsider!
  11. May I correct you? Never take cannabis with you when crossing any international border.
  12. I bet. I do have some knowledge of "Dirt Road tales" - 'nuff said 😏
  13. Unfortunately there will be some conspiracy theorists who see your post as MSM indoctrination. If they're adults, good riddance but it's not fair to deprive the kids of their chance of a healthy life. Now watch them come out of the woodwork, or from under their stones and call us "sheeple" or similar! 😆
  14. It is. On Android, you do get an explicit warning of that when you clear the App data. I presume Ios is similar.
  15. Fair enough - personally I couldn't care less about the potential for being spied on, which is what I imagine, concerns you (?) I shan't open that fairly obvious can of worms...unless you'd like to.🙄
  16. Well in that context, weed is no different from conventional cigarettes. In some countries they're banned in restaurants, bars etc. These bans are enforced, and I, as a non-smoker appreciate that. However, i have no wish to stop people smoking in private - just leave my lungs alone!
  17. I do feel sorry for you though, with such a narrow mind.
  18. I agree, but there are way too many of them to ever make money - just everybody jumped on the bandwagon. To be quite honest, I'm not a smoker of anything and I was never sure of the legal aspect when it came to "edibles" - pity 'cos a cookie with yer coffee is quite enjoyable. I suppose it's moot now.....
  19. I just opened the link - read the rest of the rubbish on that page - dunno whether to laugh or cry!
  20. Well as you responded, I would suggest that syncing and saving Contacts is easier - as contacts become irrelevant, you can delete them from any of your synched devices and they've gone everywhere leaving your current Contacts in situ. I actually export my Contacts from time to time and keep as backup HTML files (I do it on Chrome on a PC). That's just part of my personal archive if you like....but then I am somewhat OCD about it all! 🙄
  21. Clearly your choice but without actually criticising, I would suggest that you're missing out on a very useful feature. I'll leave it at that.
  22. From what others have said, its should be linked to your PP number, hence the "automatically" in your reply i presume. But if you read the rest of my post, that's why I said that I'll carry it either on paper or phone anyway.
  23. As @SABloke said "Makes the whole QR code side of things a bit moot" It would probably be more sensible to just send the email with an acknowledgement that you've completed the requirement and have no need to do any more. Personally, when I next come to enter Thailand, I shall have it available to show the IO whether "it" is a QR code or just email. May be old-fashioned but carrying one piece of paper tucked in my passport or one item on my 'phone doesn't seem too arduous - if it avoids a confrontation after a 20 hour journey, I'm all for it.
  24. Totally agree. The cars have outgrown many circuits, they have one racing line and it turns into a boring procession. Especially in a country where discipline and knowledge of road safety isn't endemic. Look at Singapore - a very disciplined place where people can be trusted to obey standards. Similar in Monaco. As to your other objection, usually i agree, but by changing the pit stop rules, this year's Monaco GP was much more interesting than previously. That's up to the FIA to adjust the rules appropriately.
