  1. How will a fictional date work IF the OP is required to upload an air ticket that doesn't show the same dates? I'm possibly confused (!) but from memory, I wasn't required to enter travel dates but was required to state number of days and upload a ticket. This was also November 2023, London, Tourist Visa
  2. Agree...I left Pattaya last week, having timed my trip to avoid Songkran in its entirety! Sadly, there will be a hooligan element that will turn it into a war zone for a week, whatever the police may say. That element, will, sadly, almost certainly be led by foreigners who have no idea of the history of Songkran and just want to turn it into an excuse for drunken excess and stupidity! 🤬
  3. Spot on! 👍 I enjoy "sporting" with bar ladies and I also enjoy the company of apparently respectable women...I just try to remember with whom I'm interacting and attempt appropriate behaviour at all times And always remember that a man (or woman) has as many personalities as they have friends 🙄
  4. That's a very cynical POV. Unfortunately, I have to agree with you because it happens to be true in a great many cases of my acquaintance. Then again it's also a somewhat sweeping generalisation - I know 3 Anglo - Thai couples who are very happy: in one case the lady was never a "working gal" but in the other 2 the ladies were. Bottom line is people are people the world over; not everyone conforms to the "usual norms"....... thank goodness!
  5. Buying shirts one January in "Mike" shopping in Pattaya. Vendor wanted 400 per shirt. I offered 250, vendor said "last price 350" and then said "Nobody will sell for 250" so I moved on. Come April, (no customers) same shirts, same vendor happily took 260 per shirt . That's my sort of compromise. It's all about the timing
  6. Or a phone with fingerprint recognition, thus no passcode needed.
  7. Same in UK where Apple Pay and Google Wallet are the main online payment apps. Not a QR code in site. I use the latter in the supermarket because I have it and the supermarket's loyalty card on my phone so it actually IS quicker for me to scan my purchases as I shop then just pay it with one touch of the phone. However, I actually prefer cash in other situations. In Thailand I will use cash as long as I can or in the unlikely event of my making a big purchase , I'd use my credit card.
  8. Or the sensible one who needs gratification without the tiresome business of involvement? Many points of view are acceptable except perhaps your censorious one.
  9. Sex is a commodity - I'm hungry I visit a restaurant, I'm horny i visit an appropriate establishment
  10. Works for me...... as long as I, the customer, is satisfied 🤪
  11. You beat me to it. Action of various sorts is available 24/7 in Pattaya. I suggest the OP may have been touring with his eyes and ears closed. I've just walked up soi Lengke and 3 bars are open with customers drinking. It's 8:30 am. Same bars only closed at 2 am.🤪 Look around you Sir
  12. Agree. As with driving in Thailand, the missing ingredient is enforcement
  13. Agree...... OP could log onto Wise, not via any link in the email and just enter the requested details. Saving them should alert Wise that he has updated if it is indeed genuine.
  14. Unless you think that he'll be stopped leaving, why bother? If he's truly a tourist just ignore them IF they actually get approved into law.
  15. British YouTuber = either Ignorant fool who can't think for himself Or Typical internet jockey looking for attention. I'm ashamed of my countryman 😡
  16. Quite agree with you and disagree with @simon43 People should have been WARNED about the effects of Covid and the vulnerable ENCOURAGED to isolate rather than the whole world crashed to a halt. Isolation should have been offered to those in need, letting the rest of us adults get on with our lives. I personally ignored the restrictions that I could ignore and here I am....still alive and 5 times vaccinated.
  17. I had the same happen when I arrived in February except that I have an evisa from London. Luckily I checked while I was standing at the IO desk at Suvarnabhumi. I handed my passport back to the officer and said "60 days please" He said "it's okay on the system", to which I replied "please change it in case the police stop me" He changed the date to reflect the correct date of April 7th and stamped "TR60" on my boarding pass, and apologised. I'm keeping said boarding pass AND the evisa printout for when I leave. on April 5th. Hopefully all will be ok.
  18. My experience with Emirates is largely positive in that each booking, I use up the miles obtained on my previous flight. This time however, they've annoyed me by changing my last sector (DXB - LGW) from an A380 to a 777. This is within contract of course as it's still a business class flight, BUT there's apparently no bar in the 777 so I'm getting less than I paid for. I shall complain when I return to London, but I suspect I'll get little except maybe a few points in compensation. Not such a bad problem to have though 🙄 Ethiad really annoyed me a few years ago, when they changed my return arrival from Gatwick to Heathrow and offered me NO compensation 😡 Returning to the topic in hand (sorry) I've never actually flown on Qatar.
  19. Are you implying that all golfers are gay?
  20. Loads of them......try looking for 'Gentleman's clubs' 😋
