Very "tiring" too. (That works better with American spelling ????) Difference between 200 used tyres and 200 used condoms? One's a Goodyear, the other's a great year

TAT Adopts Cautious Approach to Visa Fee Waiver Scheme
Couldn't agree more! When I did mine in December 2022, after having asked for and received advice on here, I made myself a set of notes as I went through it, just so that next time, I might be able to do it a little more efficiently. That's despite the fact that i used to work in IT (including testing web sites) and should have found it "easy-peasy" No website designed for the general public should be so clumsy and confusing!

SCB ending SCB Easy Net internet banking.
Whilst i don't totally disagree with you and am not trying to "stir the pot"..... From your first point: I tried to use the App as soon as i became aware of its existence. The only reason I knew the SCB Easy platform was closing at all was this and other topics on AN - the notice on the platform wasn't there when I last logged in in June. I would have thought the onus was on SCB to email ALL its online customers and warn them. It could have been an automated email, just like the "Last login" email, but nothing! This is especially true, as in March, I went into my SCB branch and asked if the SCB Easy platform was continuing and was told it would be for the foreseeable future. (This was because I read stories about a different Thai bank closing their platform.) So I think i did my "due diligence" Your second point: Trying to install it from outside Thailand (as soon as i discovered) just doesn't work as discussed earlier in this topic. Finally: I tend to agree with you here, however depending upon how often (s)he logs in, but please see previous 2 answers

Life Certificate for UK State Pension
It's entirely your option whether to post publicly or send a PM, especially where the information may be sensitive, but perhaps an obfuscated version of what you sent might be helpful? Just a suggestion.....

Taxi from U-Tapao
I would definitely get a taxi to meet you at the airport. The most hassle-free option, IMO. May I suggest you contact Dar - an old friend of mine - good driver, good English speaker (Note - I do NOT get a kickback but would appreciate you telling her that Mike from England recommended her.)

SCB ending SCB Easy Net internet banking.
So basically THEY make a change to suit THEMSELVES and expect the Customers to a) Know that their data won't be migrated even if the Customer uses the same login and b) Do the work to re-enter it all themselves!! Customer Service as defined by the arrogant bunch of anal orifices that is SCB!! ????????

SCB ending SCB Easy Net internet banking.
Just tried what you tried above @paddypower - on my usual PC and again on a different PC with different browser with no cookies already set. Got exactly the same results as you. Basically it's forcing you to the mobile app, and as I explained above when chatting with @Chivas that won't work for me (us?) outside Thailand. ????

Listening to UK radio online (and watching tv playback come to that)
Re-read my post - I said " if you had accepted responsibility for payment in the past, and not informed the authorities of the change, it's is kind of your fault." By that I mean, the licensing authority is just acting on the last data they received, so as far as they know, you're still there and therefore liable to pay, in their eyes. Simply tell them you've moved and all's good.

Is it my laptop?
Please read what I said........ "CC will remove all cookies by default " I do exactly as you appear to suggest in order to retain certain cookies! The OP appears to be something of a novice hence my warning.

Is it my laptop?
Compare the settings between the laptop and desktop...EG Same Browser? If so compare Extensions, Add-Ins etc. Try a different Browser. Run CCleaner (Free version is fine) on the offending machine. Caution: CC will remove all cookies by default so any saved logins etc will need to be re-entered - make sure you have notes of all your usernames and passwords

Online trends - do you know what is happening online? Do you care?
I agree, especially with your last sentence. Also agree with what @simon43 said earlier. I don't use Facebook, my Twitter account is effectively anonymous but I'm (obviously) a forum user - this and several others covering many of my interests. The thing to remember always is "Consider the source". If a respected website such as the NHS or a major university posts something, I am inclined to read it and consider what i read there, possibly going elsewhere to confirm, deny or get more data. If it's a raggedy so-called newspaper (usually a tabloid!) then I MIGHT go elsewhere to confirm or deny, more likely, i'll ignore it. In that respect, the internet is no different from trawling through "old-fashioned" media, BUT...it's a damn sight easier to be selective. As for "online trending", it's just fashion which is basically something for weak-minded individuals who cannot think for themselves....just remember the parable of The Emperor's New Clothes

Can't buy any electronics at physical shops anymore. Why so much difference from online?
Partially agree....but, in the West (UK specifically) your rights to warranty, return etc are actually stronger than if you bought it in person. Installation (and removal of the old item) is often free or at least the price is clearly shown. That's assuming you buy from a reputable supplier, of course. Example: last month my old fridge-freezer died. I realised this at 4 AM and in the time of 3 hours, I compared models and prices online, selected one to be delivered the next day and paid including a small "delivery charge" (£25) which included the supplier delivering to any room of my choice in my UPSTAIRS flat, taking away the old one and all the packing. I realise this is slightly for this forum but if the situation in Thailand is comparable then I suggest that online is best choice.

Is that for ANY amount or just payments over 50K Baht? (FYI - I also get the message that @topt reported above when I try to log into SCB Easy.)

Listening to UK radio online (and watching tv playback come to that)
I agree but to be fair, if you had accepted responsibility for payment in the past, and not informed the authorities of the change, it's is kind of your fault.
