How about a full service U.S. bank dedicated to serving expats, digital nomads, etc.?
I'm in the US now. I will drop by the location on Monday and ask if I can open one, though I already have a Chase bank account. ChatGPT says you should be able to open one with Chase and BOA.

Why is Windows better than Linux-Desktop for 70-year-olds?
I worked in MIcrosoft. We had a saying about why some people prefer Linux compared to average people. Linux users consider themselves superior because they can run complex command-line tools to do specific tasks, which is a no-no for average customers. People prefer convenience and are willing to dole out money for ease of use. And no doubt it is a trillion-dollar company now (by the way, Windows has made me a millionaire and hundreds of thousands of other people like me), and Linux is only used by developers in server settings, which, by the way, Windows has made even simpler.

Swampy Arrival late las night
I recently arrived at Chicago ORD airport. It took two hours to clear immigration because of the volume of people entering. I think if it were BKK, it would have taken all day with their slow processing time for each person.

Overstay and new passport
Why did you overstay? Your wife did not know or did not care. Why did you not get a new passport before it expired? This story sounds fishy to me. People with family are extra careful. What would have happened to your family if you'd been caught? Did you not think about it while overstaying on an expired passport? You don't mention your country to get any country-specific information.

Pattaya business owners petition against one-way traffic rule
Jomtien Beach will be one-way traffic when the construction is over, my guess, and I like it.

My girlfriend/wife is 35 years younger.......
All-night season in all holes. But I like to caress her silky, smooth skin while not inside her holes.

My girlfriend/wife is 35 years younger.......
My youngest and favorite concubine is 40 years younger than me. I'm fond of caressing her silky, smooth skin in her birthday suit.

Kiwi brothers deny all charges, their parents speak out - March 19
After four years of driving my MC without a license, at last, I got an MC license. I was a little excited and told one of my concubines. She replied, "Why do you need a MC license? You can pay 500 baht to the police if caught."

Kiwi brothers deny all charges, their parents speak out - March 19
Both of them will get some brutal beatings and kicks (maybe they have already received them) before being transferred to the prisons, where they will wake up at 5 AM to clean toilets. After a few months, they will be released, deported, and barred from entering Thailand again. This won't teach them a lesson not to repeat it again, but at least they won't be able to do it in Thailand anymore.

British and American men arrested for real estate violations
Another BC. They cannot own anywhere in the world. And yes, they can in Western countries, but not everywhere in the world. Please check your post before posting stupid comments.

Two New Zealand Men Arrested in Phuket for Alleged Brutal Assault on Traffic Cop
Another BS comment about these two guys who fled their home country to take refuge in a foreign land. They must be treated harshly. All these runaway refugees must be treated harshly. We all know that they will be prosecuted unless they offer a large amount of cash underhandedly. Thai police are very restrained and polite. I have never seen them raise their voices or try to shoot anyone unless a drug peddler is running away. My friend was even arrested for illegal substance possession and consumption. He said the police were extremely polite and showed great patience.

Immigration releases statement on crackdowns on foreign offenders
Total BS. They should be arrested and deported. You cannot just go to any country and start working.

Immigration releases statement on crackdowns on foreign offenders
They can work in their home country. Why do they have to come to Thailand and work illegally? Are they economic migrants and not able to get any work in their home country?
-
Immigration releases statement on crackdowns on foreign offenders
Because it's easy to get into the country, work illegally, or set up a business to employ illegal immigrants by bribing. My take on this is that all foreigners (except genuine tourists), including perpetual tourists, must be dealt with harshly, even for a minor infraction, unless they are from the neighboring countries. Foreigners and perpetual tourists who cannot live a decent life in their home country, let alone find a woman in their own land, travel 10,000 miles for a decent life, and then engage in working illegally, setting up businesses illegally, and overstaying. All these people must be dealt with very harshly to remind them that they cannot come to Thailand and violate local laws.

Men: Can you please stop sharing your sperm with women?!!!!
There is no need for South Americans, enough Americans already believe that the earth is flat and created 6,000 years ago.

Indian passenger robbed by Chinese man on flight to Bangkok
I always keep my laptop unlocked in my carry-ons. In the forty years I have been crisscrossing the world, I have never had my laptop stolen. My rented car trunk was rampaged, and the laptop was taken out of the backpack once in a rest area in Portugal while I was eating inside the building. A person told me that he saw earlier that a Spanish guy was going through my trunk, and as he approached, he ran away. It was a close call, but I still wonder today how he knew it was a Spanish guy and not a Portuguese. On a side note, I noticed a lot of illegal Bangladeshis in the Netherlands, Germany, and Denmark are moving to Portugal. I met a few of them, and they told me the pressure from the authority (raids, unexpected document checks, etc.) is less in Portugal compared to other countries they moved from. I also met a crazy Portuguese driver obsessed with Trump and wondered how stupid it is for Americans to vote for a dictator. I applauded him for his extensive knowledge of American politics. 🙂

ATM card confiscation and possible alternatives?
Not for cash advances using CC but for ATM withdrawals using debit cards. I tried this at three banks, and they asked me to punch my pin, and a charge was levied. Of course, my bank will refund any ATM charges worldwide, but I wanted to check this feature as many members have posted here. It's useless for me to line up for a bank teller; instead, I now use ATMs and CCs exclusively.

Majority of 12,000 Thais in Dubai are working illegally – Thai consul general
What do you expect when Westerners are trying to work illegally in Thailand and many still do. Maybe not in the jobs that Thais do in Dubai, but illegal work is illegal work. I met a guy in Samui who said he would work for free beer in any place that offered him free beer, and he wanted to live in Thailand. I asked him what is so great about Thailand that you wanted to ruin your future working for free beer. He says he likes the relaxed approach to things in Thailand. I told his what you're seeking is illegal work.

Fatal Collision: Chinese Driver Crashes into Pattaya Motorbike Rider, Claiming One Life
You are correct. For me, more bike riding is okay in the back alleys for errands. I never drive on Sukhumvit (part time Pattaya resident).

Swiss Man who Allegedly Assaulted Elderly Woman Banned from Leaving Thailand
So be it. Foreigners have travelled 10,000 miles to find a life and a woman in a foreign land, but locals have not. That is the difference. If you cannot figure out the difference, you're lost.
-
Swiss Man who Allegedly Assaulted Elderly Woman Banned from Leaving Thailand
Comparing with Thai people is meaningless and gives you more stress. All foreigners must behave, and the slightest deviation must be dealt with harshly. The gall of these people travelling 10,000 miles to find a life and women in some cases that they could not find in their home country and then behaving rudely with the locals because the locals can go scot free for the same behavior. What a stupid arguments. Locals did not travel 10,000 miles to find their life and love in a foreign land. If foreigners are not dealt harshly for the slightest inappropriate behavior, it will cause chaos, and foreigners will go berserk in Thailand, as evidenced by their postings on YouTube, TikTok, and other social media platforms.

British and Norwegian nationals arrested for illegal employment
Have you seen the amount of posting in Facebook groups about finding jobs in Thailand and offering to help strangers with their menial work like moving, babysitting, etc.? If not, please go to those groups and find out. And most of these job seekers are from Western countries. When I point this out, I am attacked for not helping people.
