A Fit to Fly certificate does not exist in UK NHS system. The OP will have to go private.
That's why I said the GP may do it for a price - many do it as a private service for an extra source of income.

Major problem for me if I wanted to go back on a Repatriation Flight, I live in the N.E. and have googled many times for Clinics in the area but all appear to be in the London area. My G.P. doesn’t do Fit to Fly Certs and obviously Covid Tests, NHS ones are not in writing.
I would need the Fit to Fly for my Partner and our son, I have looked into it intensely but have made the decision to ride it out until such time restrictions ease and flights resume from the Newcastle. I have applied to extend my partners Visa and our son is now attending school here. I think the Thai Embassy assume everything ody lives in the vicinity of London and can just arrange everything around there.Fit to Fly seems to be addressed in the post above yours and some NHS tests have the result emailed - you could try it out to see what your area does if you hadn't decided to stay on.

I ddon't believe the PCR rapid test is approved in the UK.

You can pretend, and continually repeat, all day that because somebody says they can't and believes they can't makes it true. Nope. The hard evidence lies in facts such as above. Why all desperate need to stay in denial?
Your handful of examples don't make it universal. Far more are on the opposite side and you're just stirring a thread up again for reasons known only to you.

Does anyone know if you can use the NHS test? Although it would be a risk pushing it for a turn around in 72 hours.
I've read reports of several people (ab)using NHS tests for this, an issue may be if you only get results by SMS which is possible, as this may not be accepted.
Fit to Fly from your GP for a price.

What? ... Aquatique?
Yes, that's what I'd heard, but since then I've also heard it was to be next to Hard Rock.

If I don't need a mask when eating or drinking, why do I need one at all?
You're not eating or drinking all the time so this reduces (not eliminates) the chance of you spreading the disease. Lots of small reductions pave the way to making it manageable.
At least that's the theory. Whether it's needed or anything is another debate, but the logic in the scenario you describe is valid.

The only place I can see they will build it is that huge block of land that is between Beach Road and Second Road that has been left idle for years.
It's up in Naklua somewhere.

Do you think they will open again?
Not given the video of the owner on the day before it closed.

I got a rebate last month and they paid it direct to my UK bank account. Register on the Government Gateway and this may be an option in future.

Do you have to return after 90 days to show proof of money has not dropped below the 800,000 baht requirement ?
This is of course if you have done the retirement ext. using this method.
Depends on what office you attended.

I was never really looking for that, I like to travel but surely a single father taking care of a thai child with a monthly income coming from abroad into a thai bank account should be e bloody nough to be giving some sort of permanent visa until the kid is 18 or 21.
I tend to agree, but I've got a Western viewpoint. When I'm away from home I know I have to stick by the local rules. We Westerners might like to think we're always right but there's nothing to say our way of thinking is more appropriate than anyone else's.

Bank letters or statements do not prove sustainable income, just a snapshot of one's circumstances, and that is all that is required. Those with variable income should manage it to satisfy Thailand's legal requirements.

Being on a Non-immi O multi before they stopped and now single, leaving the country every 90days or getting an extension and then leaving is completely and utterly within the law and uses of this type of visa. I only thing that can be problematic is this very situation. How in the hell can anyone and did anyone foresee this situation???!!
It was never a permanent stay visa as you've just found out. How you interpreted it is neither here nor there.

I'm not sure. There was one repatriation flight in June.
Perhaps you should ask, or find out why they weren't on the repatriation flight, rather than request assistance on an anonymous forum.

Please tell me how my friends from Nepal can get back home, who cannot extend their visas and who are either too young or not interested in going through the rigmarole of a retirement visa just for the sake of not becoming illegal aliens.
What has their embassy recommended?

WOW..people are still wheeling out that nonsense..dear me.
There are very few destinations on the planet you can't get to from BKK nowadays. And book with confidence the flight will actually depart.
Sounds like Australia has some restrictions due to their Government limiting arrivals, but I can't think of any other place that is discussed frequently. What passport do you hold that makes it so difficult to get there?

How difficult is it to include a Google Map in such a story, so readers can know where this is located? I sometimes wonder about Thai journalism...
Because then everyone would laugh at the location and christen it another white elephant.

Some people have multiple income streams not consistent with a regular monthly payment but often in excess of it.
Yet they don't have the brains to consolidate that income somewhere and bring it in to Thailand in a way that does satisfy IO requirements?

Perhaps even stranger, Emirates are flying to/from Bangkok from 1st September, one flight a day. I can only assume they are being used as repatriation flights because, as we all know, almost no-one is allowed entry.
Not repatriation flights as arranged by the embassies, but BKK is a transit point on this flight to Hong Kong. If Emirates are happy for someone to disembark there then it's another opportunity opening for those wanting to return. Emirates do point out in the booking process that passengers booking to BKK need to comply with all the Thai entry requirements.

I wonder did any of the Emirates flights disembark yesterday and today in BKK
Not very scientific, but if I look at the seating for tomorrow's flight I can see at least a couple of seats booked on the DXB-BKK leg that are empty on the BKK-HKG leg. That would indicate to me the passengers got off at BKK as it's unlikely anyone would select to move at the change point.

Where do you get that from?
If you get it from their website (choose a seat), that's not a reflection of the occupancy but of who checked in online already.
I get it from a seat alerts app, but in any case Emirates allocate all passengers seats around 48 to 72 hours prior to departure (or at least they did pre-covid) so this close in the seat map will give a fair indication.
-
This flight has been flying for the past few weeks, stopping at BKK enroute to HKG. I suspect they have been carrying only HKG bound passengers on the outbound until now and they now have the systems in place to carry those bound for BKK.
KLM are doing it too with aircraft transit stopping at BKK and discharging passengers who have shown the required paperwork at check in to prove they can enter Thailand.
Seat map for tomorrow's flight doesn't look very busy in economy.
Many farang must leave their families, friends and Thailand
in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
