Online 90-day Rejected
IvorBiggun2 replied to Thailaces's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Just had my online 90 day report rejected. The reason 'Incomplete information provided.' That has to be a completely stupid reason for it to be rejected. Failure not to fill out the online report correctly won't allow ones application to be accepted. For it to be accepted tells me I filled it out correctly. -

If one cares to look on the online application it distinctly says 4,000 Baht. Not 5,000. Important Note : The notification of staying in the Kingdom over 90 days is in no way equivalent to a visa extension. If a foreigner staying in the Kingdom over 90 days without notifying the Immigration Bureau or notifying the Immigration Bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000.- Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.- Baht. If a foreigner leaves the country and re-enters, the day count starts at 1 in every case. Important note: Please checks the applicant’s information carefully and confirms the correctness. Incorrect information provided may render your appointment invalid I acknowledge that I have read and agree to the above Terms and Conditions -

It's now a toss up 4,000 or 5,000 Baht. If a foreigner staying in the Kingdom over 90 days without notifying the immigration bureau or notifying the immigration bureau later than the set period, a fine of 2,000 Baht will be collected. If a foreigner who did not make the notification of staying over 90 days is arrested, he will be fined 4,000.- Baht. https://thaiconsulatela.thaiembassy.org/en/publicservice/foreigners-staying-in-thailand-more-than-90-days -

Some people live a good distance from their IO, so up to the individual on how he wants to play it. There and back 4 times a year to the IO plus travel time may make it worth 2,000 Baht. -

Irrespective of how long you are away from home it's not your responsibility to submit a TM30. -
New passport - how to proceed?
IvorBiggun2 replied to StayinThailand2much's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's not supposed to be a 'free service'? It is a 'free service'. Just ask for a receipt. I first found this out 15 years ago at Korat IO. I asked the officer, Khun Arcade, after he'd finished transferring the stamps, how much for him, he replied 'no charge, free service. I did my second transfer a couple of years back at Buriram IO and I was asked for 400 Baht. I said 'no I'm not paying, it's a free service'. Office was full with other farang and I was told to sit back down. I did, but no sooner than I did I got called up and the transfer was done. No charge. -
Jealous Thai man arrested for killing wife by slitting her throat
IvorBiggun2 replied to snoop1130's topic in Isaan News
Who said he was jealous? He had a history of drug abuse and mental illness according to the article. -
An aside from the opening post Me and the wife were able to open a teachers cooperative savings account giving 6% interest. Who could resist? The first year the IO accepted the cooperative as a bank and gave me my extension. The second year some smart ass said 'a saving cooperative is not a bank' so not allowed for an extension. I had to go to the cooperative and pull out 400000 Baht, take it to my Bangkok Bank and put it in. The IO agreed that they would look at it as though my money was seasoned due to the time it had been in the cooperative. Just a warning to others to make sure your money is put in a proper bank. BTW We are still in the cooperative and we still get 6% interest every year.

And if the shrubs and fruit trees overlaps the boundary the neighbour is legally correct in cutting back all that grows over the boundary line. -
I tried it as a tea. It tastes bloody awful. I just couldn't get on with it.

My wife has spoken to the family of the owner but the owner is currently in Germany. My belief is that they knew what they were doing but are playing the 'waiting game'. Thais ain't stupid when it comes to land laws and markers. At the end of the day this is a Thai thing and I don't really play a part in this and neither does the husband of the neighbour. -

I think that is how our dispute will end, in the courts and having to pay out lawyers fees that we can't recoup. -

Thais only worry about tomorrow, when tomorrow comes. All too late then. -

You haven't read all my replies. I have stated that 'all my walls are inside the Chanote markers'. -

The neighbour is a Thai woman and she is married to a German LAWYER. Being a lawyer he should know the legal side of boundaries. He must know what they've done is wrong. -
