You have to remember that in Thailand dogs are first and foremost a burglar alarm, day and night. I personally think Thais, as a whole, have no compassion for the wellbeing of dogs. Easy enough to get another one.

The thing was that my wife was never going to handle the gun in the event of an intruder returning. The Intentions were that I, ex military, was going to use it. My wife would take responsibility and admit she used it on the intruder. This was all in agreement with the policeman who supplied the gun.
