  1. I was speakng about the on-line evisa system , not walking into an embassy and applying
  2. If he applied for an e-visa online thru the embassy i believe one of the main requierments is you must apply in your home country and be in your home country. All his info is indicating he's in the USA but his from the UK. I'd check into that first. He may be better off just going visa exempt and get an extension
  3. can you post a link for those claims. I'd like to read up on it and educate myself
  4. If your implying breaking the equipment i would strongly caution you against that as you will not like the outcome. Unfortunately your rights are slim to none as a renter. The collective condo owners can petition for action which may be the only solutions as they will be footing the bill for any repairs or replacements of common area and amenity equipment.
  5. Thats correct as I was replying to your comment that "with a visa you didn't need one". I posted it more than once on here recommending not to wait to purchase one last minute as well because when I purchased my onward flight rent a ticket I got a response say I had to wait until office hours opened to get the reservation sheet which was some 5 + hours later
  6. Normal operational noise is not something you have any "tights" for unfortunately. If it were a noisy neighbor that is enforceable but mechanical systems of the building there's not much in the way of enforcing
  7. My last evisa from USA in November was held and not issued until I provided an outbound ticket .
  8. no problem, intent and inflection is not available in the written words on social media so easy to mistake what's being said
  9. Not sure why you send this to me. I never suggested any overstay and pointed out that it cause problem in the future applying for some visa types
  10. thanks Mike. Your effort in producing this has been outstanding just to gather the info and produce a readable document.
  11. it would be helpful if you could tag or mark any new changes or additions to this guide as you've now published several versions, each one with new or edited info. While its great of you to compile this information it's becoming challenging to have to read the whole document each time you update to the next version to see what's changed or added. Other than that outstanding work
  12. Not sure what your talking about. I never said anything about retinal scan. Passports have your biodata info encrypted in the passport. Its scanned into the data base in thailand and stored. they also take your pic and finger prints which are also stored.
  13. The op is about id in thailand not the UK
  14. I never said they were. The finger prints are done in thailand and they finger print you on entry and store in their data base
  15. The OP is about Thailand and the airport in BKK which they fingerprint on entry
  16. Your finger prints along with your biodata encrypted in the passport is captured and any new passport goes into your files in the data base
  17. Another keyboard warrior that hides behind your screen. Id probably avoid you too.. That was a software glitch that crosses the two links. Move on with your crap
  18. Sorry but thats your twisted interpretation not what I wrote, which your intittled too even when you are incorrect. Just don't misquote me while your trolling. You can move on now as we are done now
  19. Your name says it all about your attitude. If you wish to "read" something else into what I wrote tgats on you but do t try and claim that I said that. Your claim is also an exaggeration as you can not be taxed on the same item in both countries and let it stay like that. You are correct in that using a tax thats prepaid on one item in one country would be used as a credit against the same taxable item in another country. So there is no dual tax. so again dont misquote me.
  20. You should first read up on what the OECD is and what they do. You may be overestimating their role and what they do. For what Thailand does or doesn't do although I'm sure they will adapt or try to some if the methodology OECD uses and offers to shares.
  21. Read what I wrote. I never said they don't have to file i said they won't be taxed on some issue and others are exempt. If you are taxed in either country you cant be taxed in both.
  22. Yes I'm always astounded at the mountain of paperwork stored at the Imm office alone in NST along the back wall. And that's a small office.. Somehow they can find your old extension paperwork files fairly quickly too.
