  1. I'm not realky trying to be correct as everyone's situation is different so correct is adjustable. My advice has been the same all along. Read your country's DTA to see where you fall in this and then compare it when the final regs are issued here. No one knows for sure and it's different by person and country so no need to panic over what you dont know will happen yet?
  2. Yes and not all pensions are state or personal and as I said not many things are exempt but you need to research tge DTA to determine its impact of each person. There is no cookie cutter answer for everyone
  3. So what you do has nothing to do with the poster. Some people tend to sleep at night time. He also asked for people to reply to his email. so use that " genius " brain you claim to have and figure it out.
  4. Read your country's Dual Tax Agreement and you will see many things including most pensions are exempt from dual taxation
  5. Your still trolling. I answered appropriately and you want to keep going so carry on trolling
  6. I did and replied to you, so stop being a tool and trolling for an argument that you won't win
  7. Again you made a claim and and got called out on it. then you try to say you didn't by deflecting your guilt. Sad person you are
  8. Nothing to be silent about, your the one making inaccurate comments and then trying g to deflect them unsuccessfully
  9. you actually did, read what you wrote. "actually read what your wrote, " if my "local" is closed where will I go?
  10. actually read what he wrote and he did imply I go to those places and if my "local" is closed where will I go? Dont be a tool
  11. nope just answering your question. In reality you are trying to deflect attention from your moral position stated earlier. I was clear with mine. They should crackdown legally," as they did in this instance" on all bars using automated software that accepts scanned images rather than a hard copy id for proof of age. The should crack down also on establishments that allow enter by using faked or altered id. Im sure the underaged that want to drink know the places they can get in illegally and Im also sure that there are a number of morally absent men that prey on those locations as well. Im not the one in favor of allowing or condoning it nor claiming thet are overreacting with the penalty. Are you?
  12. If they accept photo copies from a phone as a valid age check i can guarantee it wasn't just 1 girl.
  13. Enforcing the law for once is not "making an example" of someone and perhaps there will be more crackdowns as they are needed. Seems you more pro to allowing this to continue than against it
  14. Your compromise is more than appropriate and more than they would have if you didn't. Many thais have heard the stories of rich foreigners that give lots of money and build houses etc and expect all foreigners are the same, Which we are not.
  15. You have a couple things happening here. Number one the relatives wouldn't know what the parents are receiving unless they were talking, which all thai families do. The parents are not helping and may be I directly encouraging all the bs The extended family is often jealous of your wife if you are having a better lifestyle than them on one hand and the other hand probably aren't doing anything themselves to support the parents but by talking trash it deflects from them. The opposite can also happen they can be annoyed your not doing more so they can do less. Gossip is very rampant in thailand and everyone I. The family has their idea of what others should do. I would have the wife ask the complainers what help they are providing and check their excuses. Bottom line it will probably always bother your wife but she knows the truth of what your doing for her and that's the most important thing. Its hard when your living with or in super close proximity
  16. That's what I said originally and one of the other forum posters sent a notice showing them as being a partner bank. I'll look back thru my messages and see if I can find it. But I'm not wasting a lot of time on it as it not relevant. I live in NST and all of the wise transfers go thru Kasikorn at least mine going to Krungsri. Never had any go thru bangkok bank
  17. Deemoney isnt a bank although works with them. WIse also uses SCB and yes without signing a special authorization the other banks limit the transfers. Swift Wire transfers coming in have a much higher limit than the 50k. A fair bit of the money coming in thru Wise is not ending up at those 3 banks and thats were it can get more cumbersome if your in a province way outside BBK
  18. its great that Fidelity does that, I've never heard of any bank being completely free on Swift WIres unless your in some special customer class and then they recoup the fee values somehere else in the account. Im straight myself already and happy with the Banks I use and how the process goes for me. Swifts go direct bank to bank so my transfers go to Krungsri and I have the necessary Imm paperwork available from them.
  19. There is no " free" in banking other than they may not charge the processing fee ($45) but the exchange rate is where they will make it up so its not really free. Check and compare all the exchange rates and processing fees and you'll have the complete costs
  20. I agree. I'm on the monthly method though so the swift transfers give me the codes the easiest way that I need. All my other transfers I'm using Wise
  21. I am not aware of any bank that will do the swift wire transfer for free, most are $ 25. BUT They definitely rape you on the exchange rate everywhere I've checked. Mostly because more people dont do swift anymore with the advent of other types of money movers. You don't get the same level of detail though that swift wire transfers gives but they are slower so there's trade offs. For immigration financal requirements swift can't be beaten since its direct bank to bank
  22. The challenge you run into with Wise is they do all there transfers thru only 3 banks, bangkok bank, scb and Kasikorn, I think is the 3rd. If your bank is not one of these then which ever 1 of the banks they used makes the transfer to your bank but it shows as a domestic transfer not international. Some banks are easier to work with in getting them your "proof" while others are not, especially if your in a rural province.
  23. First off we're talking about Swift Wire Transfers which are quite different than a WIse or Mastercard or other transfer of cash. I use Swift Wire Transfers for visa financial requirements as it's direct bank to bank with no 3rd party bank like Wise uses if your bank isn't one of there 3. Swift Wire Transfers are also always coded as international transfers and the documents on the US side has everything listed so its quite easy to show it's an International transfer. Swift also has a higher limit on transfers. Last month I compared letting Wells Fargo do the exchange prior to transfer vs sending it Wells Fargo in USD and letting Krungsri convert on arrival in Thailand. Wells Fargo would have cost me 1.35 baht per dollar in exchange rate and Krungsri was .25 baht per USD. Swift transfers cost more than Wise, DeeMoney etc as almost all banks charge a $25 fee but for me to get all the specific info in 1 place coded correctly and direct bank to bank its worth the few extra dollars a year. I only use Swift for my visa deposits all others I use Wise.
