New public health minister walks back ‘recreational’ cannabis
Wongkitlo replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
It was a political comproomise. Anutin thought he could get all the stoners to vote for him. Prayut needed his seats in Parliament so did a deal to decriminalize it. If they had not done so Anutin's party would have been wiped out at the last election. The last government was in such a hurry to get the political gain they decriminalized it with no proper plan or legislation. I doubt Anutin truly cares whether it is therapeutic or not. It is all just political. -
Non - O ME in HCMC and Hanoi: Denied!
Wongkitlo replied to tomaway's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It is sad that you are so bored with life that you have to go and preach on a forum thread that has no concern to you. Somebody has started a new Savannaket thread. You had better rush and chastise all the bad people 'circumventing' the rules. -
Non - O ME in HCMC and Hanoi: Denied!

So your AGENT was willing to get you a Multi-entry non-O married to a Thai visa without any proof of financial requirements? -

It is not clear from your post whether your agent gets you a visa without financial proof or with. If you join a thread about getting visas without financial proofs and accuse people of "gameing it" it is pretty easy to assume you provide financial proof to your agent and ypu must expect a negativecreaction from other posters for your accusation. Savannaket provides the ME non-O visa and the assumption must be it is legal and not gameing it as you imply. -

The thread is about non o visas without financial requirements so you getting an agent to fill out the paperwork is not really at all relevant. -

He could say agents do not often do non o for marriage and again call you a fool for commenting about what you do not know. -
Maybe you have a reason to need riel particularly. but most of the time you can use USD . 1 usd for 4000 riel. Many of the border towns also use baht.

Dengue Fever in Thailand 2023, and some tips to avoid bites

Most Thais do not know that mosquitoes grow in still water. They love leaving around water containers(and rubbish as you mentioned). -
Thank you for the advice

Thanks for your reply. The floor has not been painted before. I think I will do the hydrochloric wash. It is just above my fish pond though so I will have to be careful I guess. I bought the paint a few weeks back and I am not where it is at present. It was TOA brand and about 700 baht for a 3.5 litre tin. It was specific concrete paint.

Govt to Heavily Scrutinize Local Influential Figures
Wongkitlo replied to snoop1130's topic in Thailand News
Pattaya has been run by one family for years. At present one member, a former mayor has run to Cambodia to escape prosecution.. This control has been going on for generations so it is hard to estimate the enormity of the money that has been siphoned off. -
Is it necessary to do the hydrochloric acid wash. I was told by somebody to just paint it.

The problem is entering Cambodia where they will try and charge you 1800 b instead of 30 usd. You can politely arguecthe point with them and they usually give in but it is an unpleasant start to your holiday. I would get an E visa which is still cheaper than 1800b at 40usd. You also save having a whole page of your passport used. You can go Psar Phrum to Battambang which has no scams
