  1. I saw the dent on the left engine inlet photo too. Wait for the investigation that cowling damage is minor it could been a piece of flying debris. The coast guard plane was a DHC-8-300 the A350 may have directly rear end-steamrollered it while it was lining up on the runway without much nose cone damage.
  2. You just have to look at the many many evacuation events where your typical I am free I do what I want passengers ignore instructions and take all time in the world to wrangle their carry on luggage out of the overhead bins before casually deplaning*. I was airborne in the region at the moment of the incident hearing pilot reports on air to air VHF and from our dispatch that HND was closed. Checking my ipad for initial net based news stories it was all extremely vague it almost appeared as if the planes had collided in mid air or the JAL plane had a landing gear problem and belly landed. Now clear, somehow, the Japan Coast Guard plane was on the active runway where the JL A350 had been already cleared to land. As always, a “chain of events” will be identified in the investigation. There is never a single cause as there are many places the chain could have been broken. Godspeed *such punters should be fined and permanently banned from all IATA compliant commercial aircraft
  3. Agree. But we know there have been long delays/meltdowns at BK at times well documented by media. Once I saw at least 50 people lined up at fast track so the Elite Personal Assistant guided us through the Air Crew line near where the highest level Immigration officers are ensconced.
  4. When I paid for 5 year Thailand Elite membership one benefit promising fast track at BKK airport I would rather not wait 1hr yes !
  5. Get a premium credit card for $5-600 per year. Look for one with Lounge access included.
  6. I have never hear of such a good reason to save ones boarding pass before. I use mobile boarding passes as much as possible if they give me a paper one it goes into the garbitch in a lavatory.
  7. All true. I hope the AC service is delivering sufficient economic yields to justify continuation of the service Unlike North America to Singapore flights where Business is expected to be full on a daily basis with mostly full fare pax. NA to Thailand is mostly a leisure market compared to it
  8. Direct flights? You must mean nonstop. Not same. I prefer to spend an hour in a business class lounge at Incheon or Tokyo https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Direct_flight
  9. Mice conferences? Long Stay, like O/A visa? When was that promised? I was a Thailand Elite member before Even the airport used to have a huge gold theme "Thailand Elite" sign over fast track Immigration desks but had hassles accessing unless I was accompanied by the airport greeting staff known as Elite Personal Assistant. Same experience trying to get thru expedited security on departure.
  10. Why use third party sites? The mind boggles.
  11. Life aint nothin but bitches and money -NWA *and beer
  12. So what is the appropriate punishment in this case?
  13. I have heard Australia but this source says Canada 1962. It is horrible anyway, my favorite is “pepperoni” and black olive sure that is not allowed in Italy either! https://www.bbc.co.uk/bitesize/articles/z2vftrd#
  14. Not the case necessarily about .1) Have we established the Nationality of this scrounger? You certainly cannot fly back to the US on an expired passport any longer. There was always an issue of transiting certain countries on expired documents and there are no non-stop flight to the US anyway. It’s not 1975 anymore where even babies have their own passport even if the guy had money he needs some valid travel document to get on an international flight. https://help.cbp.gov/s/article/Article1861?language=en_US#:~:text=Return of U.S.-,Citizens to the United States, apply for a U.S. passport.
  15. Not necessarily true at all.
  16. Very strange. Do you have a proper router and know how to access the settings so you can see all activity? He may be accessing more than harmless videos.
  17. Main course Kiawe grilled Lobster tail Served on a plate of fresh lemon-pepper fettucine
  18. I’m not sure. Recently getting eye-raped by cougars patrolling Supermarkets.
  19. This post basically translates to “I don’t have enough money to live in Newport Beach”
  20. 15 years ago? Another world where I was sold the Thai condo dream. When I had never even heard of a TM30. When I could fly in and out DMK on a visa exempt near every month and I had never ever once even heard of people being denied entry for “coming too many times”.
  21. FLIFO overseas worker. My schedule of “constant international travel” near every month for two weeks makes the conversion process impossible.
  22. "Basic Speed Law" What do you call it in "Englund"?
  23. A true statement. I have Thai drivers license but I do not claim to be able to quote the law In my country you are required to maintain a safe speed, even below the posted maximum speed based on weather conditions/darkness to avoid a pedestrian. Sad but I think the motorist was going to fast or not paying attention.
  24. You are required to maintain a safe speed and distance (regardless of speed limit) based on weather/traffic conditions that you can reasonably avoid an obstacle in the roadway. Now if a Deer, Moose, drunk college student, or Monk suddenly jumps in the roadway with no chance for a motorist operation safely to stop, that is an accident.
