How Often Do YOU Cut Your Toenails?
Captain Monday replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I don't . Every six weeks nice Thai ladies in a wonderful shop do for 500 baht. -
Off topic but is there any consideration for keeping such dogs in this climate? I know they are a fad walked but, they must be uncomfortable their whole life. We walked past a Husky Cafe in my friends condo bloc in HCMC. Peeked at the people inside but to enter? The odour from even outside the shop unbearable. I have some experience visiting with Husky and Newfoundland dogs in cold areas they seem to love playing and sleeping in snow more than anything. Owner says hard to get them to come inside.

Overstaying by hours
Captain Monday replied to MindfulPresence's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Other countries one may try to enter or apply for a visa don’t necessarily make light of it. You kid yourself if you think they can’t understand Thai immigration stamps Try overstaying your visa exempt in Japan one day let us know what happens at the airport. Not necessarily as bad as the rumors but….like you say Nick “nobody cares” and the Thailand elite programme is not your cup of tea. -
About the kids when I was 15 I had a job, transport, relationship> I admit I wasn't paying for the roof over my head. I have 16-18 year old nephews who have never walked to skool by themselves. I hear similar from colleagues. They seem like babies to me. At least I had some interests other than video games even if they were not productive! (getting laid, sweet waves, "partying")

Sorry for writing in superlatives, a pet peeve is the farang "nightmare", like meaning waiting 30 minutes at a bank. So I am just as guilty the unfortunate comment on your process to purchase a Thai government bonds. I have been buying 1-3 month CDs online all year with nifty rates from Schwab 5% plus, takes seconds. Now I am moving to a premium deposit account with JP Morgan. Just call broker in-and- same day no fees/commisions currently 4.4 per annum I am a fly-in fly out guy working overseas so the only category I qualify is wealthy global person so LTR is burdensome but I'm not impressed with Thai govt bond rates. Already own a condo. I would be interested in selling and buying another Thai condo with better amenities different location, but not the way things have been going the last few years. Probably stick with the OA

Parents? You should try riding in planes full of Americans. Liars with fake service dog?. Karens who fight you for looking at them. Trespassers who refuse the instruction to deplane the aircraft when their paid seat is no longer available. Kids these days development appears to be delayed and many have no or bad role models.

I think passengers over the age of 14 or whatever age required to have fly unaccompanied should have to sit for an online course followed by a license exam. This in order to board any plane. The subjects to include their rights, responsibilities and important stipulations of the treaties and conventions adopted by ICAO member states. If they misbehave fine them and suspend their license for an appropriate period of time. Airlines are mot interested they just want “bums on seats”

New passaport while in overstay
Captain Monday replied to Mika78's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Won’t make the overstay go away. I’m assuming passport expired. Delay might make go to worse of bad if leads to the blacklist (FORBIDDEN 1 year) 90+day overstay surrendered to authorities at airport. Maybe OP wants to go to a third country and is needing a valid passport? On my case I would need at least an ETD from consulate or Embassy Consular section of passport(s) were expired. -
I use Mobile boarding passes or throw them in the garbitch Never ever had a problem. If they need to know what flight I I come off I will tell them

The ATM ate my card up.
Captain Monday replied to In Full Agreement's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Years ago BKK Bank Kad Suan Kaew Chiang Mai, major farang friendly branch. BKK bank card eaten due to me inputting wrong PIN by the machine outside, during business hours when it was my account branch. I was told I could not get it back and needed a new one issued. As you know not free. T.I.T? or just pure laziness? I do not use travel notices never had that problem. My profile probably Constant International Travel One time I had my foreign card eaten in BKK at night because of machine error/electical problems. Lighting had literally struck during rainand after waiting a few minutes saw ”Blue Screen of Death”I was going to the airport early next morning just had to report it lost -
What does your "Aura" attract?
Captain Monday replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
I attract well dressed young foreign men who lost their wallet and only need 200-400 baht for bus fare and fakirs who say I have a “lucky face”. Only in Bangkok -
Sound as if OP encountered one of those aged coot who would complain wherever he is . My building always has some unit renovation going on. The sound travels sometimes in strange ways it might seems right over your head and it will be 4 floors down. I learned somehow to sleep thru construction noise as a day sleeper in Hawaii condos but something about Thailand. Always with the air hammer/jackhammer and grinding noise, not much sawing or nail pounding

If you have an hour or so. Yes there are heat exchangers in the air conditioning system. The energy to run it all starts with high pressure/extremely hot air tapped off from engine compressor stages, or the APU. In a cabin smoke event, the smoke/fire/fumes checklist could drive the pilots to a smoke removal checklist. Process of which will could lead to descent , diversion and emergency landing if the source of the smoke cannot be identified and eliminated.

How does Bali compare to Pattaya or Phuket
Captain Monday replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Long time ago to travel and layover there a lot. in fact I was in Sari club Sept 28 2002 Bali used to have the girls you are talking about working the disco/clubs, they came from Java en masse on weekends. Had plenty of fun then beautiful island and people, culture. The last time I was in Ubud was a few years after the attacks at that point I figured it was ruined unless one desires mass commercialism and constant hassles. The guys I knew with Balinese wives did not meet them in bars. -
Better find out where your tabien baan si leaung is going to come from before you buy a slum condo in any area Getting a yellow book from amphur muang Chiang Mai took several years, finally cracked the code I heard it was easy in Hang Dong. Last year an agent was pleased/ surprised I had said impossible again
