  1. I'm not sure any weapon, considered to be an 'arm', can be banned, under my interpretation... Give everyone a weapon, the federal government should not infringe this right.
  2. I'm sure he'll profess the same opinion if one of more of his direct family were shot and killed. Like his kids, for example.
  3. Have a look at SCOTUS rulings. DC v Heller for example. The militia means every one and 'arms' are not defined.
  4. He, he...? What about all these highly paid military men...sorry, people...experts in what they do, so I'm told.
  5. I think if you have to ask this forum, you already know the answer.
  6. No <deleted> Sherlock. Coups are the way of Thailand and have been for every long time. This is the Thai way.
  7. Ah socialism. The rich pay for the poor....Nooooooooo. Equal opportunities for all....Noooooooo. Let them suffer and die. I'm ok....until I lose my job and insurance. Then the shoe is elsewhere....
  8. From what I read, it won't be an issue in the US if certain people have their way... lobbying for the 'eradication' of transgenderism.
  9. Tax paying...? All Thai nationals pay tax?p as for voting rights, it is different everywhere. But, it does remind me of the three fifths compromise and re-districting going on in the US now.I An MP represents Thai natonals, in a place that would have a small Thai population in relation to a foreign population. For example, areas in Bangkok that have a relatively large foreign population to Thai population ratio. Money allocated without taking this into account effectively mpoverishes the area. By area, the MP would have a larger constituency compared to an area that has few foreigners. I understand the differences between representation and census, but the 2 are interdependent.
  10. What about the spycam? Who installed it, who watches it? Everyone gambles in private, or in places they think are private or where it is accepted.at Spycams are insidious. Unregulated. Big brother. Chinese made probably.
  11. Khmer. That's the word that's contentious. Cambodia, Thailand are both countries. Khmer is an ethnic group. Several people who I know are Thai nationals with Khmer roots. To be a Khmer dessert, would it not mean it was created by Khmer people, irrespective of where they were, or is a dessert identified by the country in which it was created? Either way, there are far more important things to worry about than desserts and boxing.
  12. Presume or assume... I have 2 passports issued by the same country for travel to incompatible countries...
  13. That's the spirit in the bottle? Very powerful. you believe what you want to believe, let others believe what they want to believe.
  14. The question in my mind is: If the package was the size of 3 busses, as I seem to recall was reported in UK news, why was it not spotted earlier? It made Alaska and Canada....
  15. Working from home gives flexibility to both employer and employee. I prefer working from home as I can work earlier or later as I choose. I also don't have the interruptions I have in the office. The vast majority of my work is research and admin, which needs to be done without meaningless chit chat and interaction with people who feel they need to tell you stuff that has no relevance. Perhaps I am antisocial, I don't care, as long as my work is done to the standard required and in the timeframe required.
  16. I hope you deducted the cost of envelope and postage....
  17. You can still get French cheese in UK. But I guess it depends on what you want...let the cheese travel, no need for you to.
  18. Full colour copy of the entire passport, including blank pages....? Nice and environmentally friendly. I'd like to see VFS' data compliance policy and processes...especially around storage and disposal of this mountain of paper. I thought we were moving to digital storage...
