It has become a discussion about Garcia. The original point which is incontrovertible, is that Trump grossly misunderstood a photograph which a child could have interpreted and then aggressively doubled down on his error in a televised interview. This indicates severe cognitive limitations on Trump's part. His doubling down on his error in the ABC interview indicates (as others have pointed out) that the Dunning-Kruger effect is at play here. Point is the president's cognitive capacity is revealed to be very limited. Most of the discussion here has ignored these facts.
