Yes, many cannot afford a car, but doing this shows no consideration for the lives of their children whatsoever. There are usually people who can watch the children when you go shopping or run errands. Many leave their kids with grandma anyway, some up to 100% of the time, so there should be someone available to watch the small kids so they don't have to endure this unsafe scenario.

All fast food is crapola with just a few healthier choices. there are many Thai restaurants that serve healthy, delicious food that is cooked in a clean place. You might be referring to a lot of street food, which isn't looked at by the health department and which uses a lot of old oil in cooking. Many western restaurants here sell very good food, mainly because they are run by expats who came from countries where the health conditions are much better.

Actually the average net worth is less than 200K. You're forgetting that there are millions of homeowners that are just getting by in the US, with debts for houses, cars and credit cars keeping them from having any substantial savings.

You build your immune system by eating well, exercising, getting enough sleep and not picking bad partners in life (stress).As far as the street food, it can be healthy if you watch them cook it, and go to the places you see many people visit, as repeat customers tells a story. Heating food in high temps kills most bacteria, but some are sloppy chefs. I rarely had any stomach trouble until I moved here. This last year it was the H Pylori, but there have been quite a few times where I got a stomachache after eating here, in various places. The US doesn't allow this kind of food prep or storage to happen, and you won't see near as many instances of food poisoning as you do here. Leaving meat on tables, uncovered, lets bacteria grow , so you have to first smell the meat, and then be sure to fully cook it before eating.

Every city in every country there are knives and machetes, but here they have uses beyond coconuts and fish, and are part of the things many carry when they leave the house. Money, scooter or car keys, pocket knife, house keys, comb or brush, phone, machete, grocery list.

I was referring to local against local. Of course it happens, daily, but there are so many using knives it's a favorite way to go in a conflict.

I'm waiting for an article where a local used their fists to punch someone here, instead of a knife, machete or gun. Not against a child of course in any event. A weapon seems to always be used, most likely a knife of some sort. Seems like it's been passed down through generations, as it's usually a learned behavior to attack someone with a weapon. The US has more stabbing deaths as does a few more countries but most of those are among gangs.

Movies and videos are what they want you to see, although more and more regular everyday people have been actors for a long time now. And many actors don't look in person like they do on screen. Makeup and filters help a lot. Also, many actors get into good shape for a role, then go back to what they really are afterwards. There are people in movies that you wonder how they got there, as they aren't handsome or pretty. It's because over the years movie makers realized the world isn't filled with the glamorous but regular people, so they started putting them in more. I worked out in gyms for 45 years before I came here, and saw many really beautiful women there, along with the regular types that were overweight. Every country has beautiful women, and those that aren't, and sadly, more and more are gaining weight yearly, because the desire to eat far outweighs the desire to stay slim.

If you would have left that bar girl as soon as she went with another man, your heart wouldn't have been so broken, and you would have had the opportunity to find a regular girl, and might still be with her, as most of the women in Thailand aren't, and haven't been bar girls.

From what I've read, many are into the bar girl trade, but most are here with regular girls or married. Whether they were previous bar girls only they and the girl would know.

I lived in the US 62 years, and saw hundreds of thousands of women over 18 who were slim and pretty. I don't understand this thinking of western women as all being fat. True, the majority of westerners are overweight, but that leaves many that aren't. Thailand itself is gaining on the west as far as people being overweight, and climbing daily, so the whole world will suffer this problem eventually, as people do like to eat.

Lack of evidence and proof. I myself have been alive 68 years, and have met many thousands of people, and never have had any of them say they've had a past life, let alone with any proof of same.

I replied to the later post before reading yours. This is what happened to me with the H Pylori treatment I recently finished. I always eat as many gut healthy foods as possible, and still need to now, as the 2 doses of antibiotics I finished do a number on the microbiota.

Exactly. Very foolish to be taking anything not normally found in the body unless it's to rid the body of something that doesn't belong. Just got finished with an H Pylori treatment for gastritis problems where the 2 doses of antibiotics kill off the H Pylori, along with the good bacteria in our stomachs. It takes quite a long time for the microbiota to come back after the treatment is over, months at times, and it has o be done by eating very healthy and certain foods.

No laws about being a racist. Human decency and respect stops most from being racist. Thinking a person is superior because they are white is racist. No one race or nationality is any better than another. That's Hitler thinking, and has no place in a civilized world. Most problems worldwide come from racism or prejudice. People adopt swear words because someone they know used them, and it sounded right, even though most don't make sense. The worst thing you can call someone is actually human garbage. This means they are trash, worthless, refuse, to be thrown out and discarded, and this actually matches many people on earth now, many of whom are in charge of things.
