  1. true, it's always best to try and get along, no matter how some are. Starting fights here only gets you looked at as worse. You can always smile at morons who are disrespectful, as it doesn't give anyone any ammunition to use against you.
  2. I've learned enough to get by in some things. The rest I use my phone if I'm by myself. Food ordering, numbers, how much things cost, etc
  3. Isn't that an example also of mind reading?
  4. When you're close to another of a different nationality, it is normal to joke about it, and this is an American thing. We did it all the time, yet loved one another and would kill for them. Here it's not. They can learn your name but are lazy, although not all of them. I have been sitting next to friends of my girlfriend who knew my name, as I've been with her over 4 years, and they'll still say farang. That's ignorance or disrespect and they learned this from others who do the same thing. Here foreigners of all nationalities are the minority. In America all are accepted except by the racist idiots, who are the minority. Whatever their reason is to say farang while knowing your name, it isn't a valid excuse.
  5. I'm not taking it personally besides not liking prejudice or racism, lumping all foreigners or Thais into one group. Take some time and look at all of your replies to topics. You'll see what I and others here do but might not understand how it's wrong. You look like a brown noser who thinks by putting down foreigners you might gain favor from locals. It doesn't work that way. When you talk down against other foreigners, they see, "if a foreigner can say foreigners are bad, they surely must be". Better to either stand by all foreigners, or just ignore bad talk about some. Prejudice starts with one person's idea, then others join in because they think that person was right, either because they are a friend, or they respect them because they might be well off in some way.
  6. What you do do wrong is constantly trash foreigners. All foreigners, like yourself, aren't causing trouble . The same as all Thais aren't causing trouble here .Prejudice or lumping all into one group doesn't work anywhere.
  7. News casts aren't always biased. Reporters find news that's worth a story, and competition is fierce between stations to see who puts out the most interesting or who gets it out first. Editing videos still leaves things. Things can be left out to change a story to make it more biased to one side, and people are many times on one side so they'll believe much of what others tell them. Others want the real truth so don't take what anyone says without more evidence. Thinking everything you see is twisted is false. Reality is stranger than fiction and people know this. You can't lie forever. I personally knew a couple reporters and they always said it's who gets it out first, and you can't hide the truth long.
  8. That's your opinion, and again wrong. There is proof how many lives were saved by the vaccine, and nothing you can say will change thathttps://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Measles.............https://www.mayoclinic.org/diseases-conditions/measles/symptoms-causes/syc-20374857. It's always better to go by research than by one or two conspiracy theory authors who might have agendas................https://www.cdc.gov/measles/index.html...............................https://www.who.int/news-room/spotlight/history-of-vaccination/history-of-measles-vaccination
  9. Quite a boyfriend, running to get help and leaving his girlfriend there to be stabbed.
  10. The only way anyone knows what goes on anywhere is by personal experience, word of mouth and news casts. Personal experience is factual. News casts are sometimes biased unless there is video evidence along with it. Word of mouth means nothing as it can be lies, exaggerations or biased information. I didn't make any excuse for this couple as doing anything intimate should be reserved for a room. I'm just tired of hearing foreigners trashing other foreigners, lumping all into one group, or thinking the majority is a problem.
  11. Yes, but fear of death, seeing so many die so fast, is a lot harsher than fear from side effects that might happen.
  12. You might be alive because of a previous vaccine. As far as the Covid one, they still don't know.
  13. All Christians but Catholics believe in praying to saints. I feel it's not necessary.
  14. I can say the exact same thing about people who believe in the big bang which God wasn't responsible for.
  15. People need hard evidence and want to protect their young. I don't think infants need the Covid shot as this has already been told since the beginning. Some people get flu vaccines every year and might not need them. People die all the time un vaccinated. No matter what anyone says, others will say different, and people will believe what they want. Again, when hard evidence is brought out that a vaccine has definitely caused a condition to more than a few, who are healthy, then others might believe. Now it's just fear mongering.
  16. I'm thinking what many people eat does far more damage than a vaccine could, which could actually save them. People from the blue zones live the longest and they're getting vaccines at all ages. We aren't hearing that any of them have been affected by the Covid or any other vaccines.
  17. Why keep posting these things anyway? People have already gotten the vaccines and boosters. Putting fear into their thinking doesn't help but add stress. We can't undo the vaccines now but have to deal with whatever happens. What can a person do besides take good care of themselves, which many don't do anyway, so adding to their already stressed out bodies won't help them. When there is definite proof that a vaccine has directly hurt someone that wasn't affected by a pre-existing condition already and there is a way to alleviate their damage from that vaccine, then they'll do whatever they have to.
  18. Maybe some prayers have been answered and some did get better. For many, maybe it wasn't their deal to return to good health and good health doesn't last forever anyway. Miracles happen all the time, but how are we to know what his plans are?
  19. It isn't a fantasy. Many have died and came back, including children, and told of a beautiful place. Better to believe in that than the whole universe and everything in it all came from nothing. Some will try so hard to convince believers that there isn't a God. Why? If you don't believe, you just keep that in your mind. You aren't going to change the mind of a believer. People lose faith on their own, from a traumatic experience or the loss of a loved one to some stupid disease a good God wouldn't create. Fact remains, no one lives past 120 years, and that's still nothing compared to forever, so no matter what happens to anyone here, when you die and you believe, all the crapola is gone forever. If God can create everything from his mind, he can make it even better. the earth has a lot of crappy things for a reason. It isn't supposed to last, and if you die at 2 or 102, you're still dead, and forever is just that.
  20. I'd rather be in a heaven with no problems, all you can eat, perfect climate, fishing, all animals around in harmony and friends and family than just sleeping. That's my vision.
  21. And Atheists believe there is nothing. Good luck with that.
  22. All jobs require money, to pay for those that help others in some way. Yes, the Catholic church is a very wealthy commodity and it's one reason I just became a Christian after I started out raised as a Catholic. Some things done are unnecessary. I pray to God and Jesus, not other people. Giving people hope where they might have none causing trouble. That some misuse religions is their deal and not most believers. I won't mourn him, but it's sad that anyone who spreads peace and love has to die, even though everyone does eventually. Giving people hope and having them treat others well is a part of that job, and a worthy part, as peace is the opposite of wars. Many mourn people who have done very little and still celebrate their birthdays, those who were also rich.
  23. Assuming again. I'm not obsessed. I'm just telling you how things really are. Get off of it. You have seen me agree with some of what you said, and disagree with things you dismiss. You still do not understand it's all about blame. Accidents don't happen by themselves. People are involved, along with education. enforcement, condition of roads, weather and other traffic. This has been going on in Thailand for decades, with many promises, and still nothing has changed, period. To you it's nonsense, because you are stuck on factors which work, but those factors still involve the main cause of accidents. People. It's obvious, like some others, that you don't read, or perhaps comprehend, what I've been writing all along. Thinking you're some kind of expert has you thinking you're the only one that's right here. You're not. We both are, but you can't see that because you dismiss what I write, even though what I write is a fact. First people, secondary, the 5E's, which all work together. No people, no accidents. Simple. When Thailand actually does what other countries have done for decades, less people will die. Attitudes towards life include driving, and until you change the I don't give a <deleted> about life or other people, to, other people and my life is important, nothing will change.
