  1. Same here. i know at least 10 restaurant workers in San Antonio, Texas who said the same thing. There was no way they would return here because of the lack of freedom, the dangerous roads, suppression by Thai men, corrupt leaders and police, working all day for the same money they get in an hour there, much more to do, and that Isaan was very boring. My girlfriend here talks to three that live in the states, Belgium and Sweden. They also said for her to leave Thailand, which is part of my plan. She has no idea besides what I and they have told her, but she is afraid of the dark unknown, although living here is killing her heart, as she knows the backstabbing gossip that goes on daily here, that women don't make real friends, just those that need them temporarily and talk about her behind her back. Sadly hard to convince some to take that step, to leave what they've known all their lives, even if it's been rough.
  2. That scale is totally inaccurate. You can be 5'8" and weigh 190 and have only a tiny percentage of bodyfat. I myself was 175 with less then 5% bodyfat in my prime. Height and weight means little.
  3. Was just saying that for a joke. I have Jewish friends, and have had them all my life. My family is half Polish, so I know what being suppressed is, what they did to my people during the war. Like the Doors too
  4. I love Matzohs
  5. Yes, but life cannot be enjoyed when there are any terrorists alive. They strike in many places, and this will continue until education and extermination is done. People like the Israelites, who until a few days ago, were going on with their lives with hope. Then some scumbag brings others together, targeting civilians, and what they did wasn't just killing innocent people, but killing children and mutilating them. This isn't something done during a "normal" war, except the atrocities done by some of the Japanese during WW2 and the Bosnian Serbs during their conflict. Terrorists have only one place. Elimination. All countries have problems with these kinds, and the only way they will be eliminated is if every country does it together. Of course money and politics hurts all negotiations, so getting them all to agree isn't going to be easy.
  6. Exactly. He doesn't care what anyone thinks. If it involved losing money, he would get involved.
  7. You do realize you do exactly the same thing in a different manner. You disagree just to disagree. It remains a fact that letting people get away with anything lets them continue the behavior. All countries should stand by each other. that is what would make the world a safe, livable place. Terrorists do things because they are sick, jealous extremists that don't understand there are ways to get along without fear and killing. This is about politics, which is not the way it should be. Helping others is what a human should be about. Killing because of religion, meaning the twisted form of what religion should be, because of race, creed or nationality, is disturbed prejudiced thinking. Something they learned growing up from their parents. I for one don't feel powerless in any way. If I had to do something to protect my family, I would do whatever I had to to destroy anyone trying to hurt them. If I lost a family member in Israel, I would be there doing what I could to rid that area of the sick maniacs that are killing innocent children and civilians. With no regrets of taking the lives of anyone who is a terrorist. They have no place in society and I would gladly send them to their gods. This is the same stance countries should take, especially when it involves their citizens, which it did here. Thais lost at least 12 people. It's their duty to get involved. If they don't, it's because of fear of loss. Money being the one thing that drives most here. It's a soldiers duty to protect. The same as the police. many don't get involved because they are afraid. The military and police aren't positions to get involved in if you are afraid. better to work in a labor position.
  8. Lemmon was actually one of the best actors of his time. I don't put anyone on a pedestal, including actors and sports figures. They are good at what they do, period. He was a good actor. You'd have to see him in more than the Odd Couple to understand what he was.
  9. No country is without violence, although a few have a lot less. Africa has many dictators that practice genocide. Only way to stop it is killing the terrorists and especially their leaders. Myanmar has the same kid of problem that needs to be stopped.
  10. Again, every country that is invaded by maniacs and terrorists needs support. Terrorism strengthens because too many are neutral.
  11. I agree with most of what you've said, but the Japanese did invade Thailand, and they backed down the same day, and many of their people were killed and used for labor. Thais actually were the first to start building the Burma -Thailand railroad.
  12. Thai people lost their lives and when a country does nothing, or in the least doesn't take a stance against it, it shows they don't care about their people. This is proven daily here and has been for decades so it's easy to understand why. When one country has leaders that practice genocide or the killing of innocents, every country on earth needs to respond. The reason all countries aren't united peacefully is exactly this. "I don't want to get involved". Let the US do it. Of course the US will get involved in other countries, because the US IS all countries, and having people from everywhere living there means it's their responsibility to support all nations. The problem there is that sometimes it's for financial gain. Thailand doesn't have to send soldiers there to show support. Although it would show more support besides just saying they don't condone violence. When every nation stands against terrorism and insane leaders, those leaders will be exterminated , because many countries that have dictators don't want them around. They're just too afraid to do anything. Same goes for Putin and Kim. Remaining neutral doesn't help the righteous. It shows they either don't care to get involved from cowardice or think they might lose money from trade from that nation.
  13. Glengarry was another good one. Lot of cursing but realistic. Seeing Lemmon that way and remembering him in the Odd Couple as a completely different actor is eye opening, with Grumpy Old Men being sorta in the middle.
  14. Where did I say everyone is dying from Covid? Everyone has been exposed to Covid, and if you remember, most people aren't affected. Some healthy people die, which is why caution is always a good thing. Covid is dangerous to anyone who is susceptible to it , especially if they aren't vaccinated. This is old news. people are still dying and getting sick from it, and many are suffering long Covid. Covid mutates, which means what was before isn't the same now.
  15. Top three, All in the Family, Breaking Bad, Mash. Others, (Some are shows and not actual series)Twilight Zone, Cheers, Better Call Saul, Walking Dead, Jeffersons, Outer Limits, Odd Couple, I Dream of Jeannie, Archie Bunkers Place, Sopranos, Everybody Loves Raymond, Fugitive, Miami Vice, Sanford and Son, Barney Miller, Yellowstone,Star Trek, Happy Days, Frasier,Abbott and Costello Show, Bates Motel, In Living Color, Taxi, Welcome Back Kotter, Honeymooners, Alfred Hitchcock Hour, I Love Lucy, Green Acres, McHales Navy.
  16. I've heard about UK winters, the damp cold. I lived in New Jersey my first 30 years and moved to Texas to escape that too long winter nonsense, although I miss some of it. Texas was usually hot, but got cold some days from October to February. New Jersey had some beautiful months, especially May, June and October.
  17. I lived in Texas and have a best friend in Colorado, Fort Collins. Here there is two seasons, which I don't like. Prefer 4. Rainy season in most areas, rains almost every day, can be annoying . Dry season, hot, no rain for months at times, like Texas but higher humidity here (besides Houston and the coast). It's not like Colorado in any way. Hot, hot and more hot, only a couple months that are cooler , mostly in the early morning and evenings. Northern Thailand is cooler but still gets hot most days. Average 77 Fahrenheit. Khon Kaen 64-96 F. Korat 65-97F. Ubon Ratchathani 66-96F.
  18. Ubon has all the things the rest do. The larger the city, the more it has.
  19. The better chance will come from a professional who works and has her own money, who doesn't need a farang to be a sugar daddy, and old enough to understand what Thai men are mostly about. One that didn't have the need to go to the tourist cities to make money. Again, this isn't the US where you can find a woman that will be attracted to you and not your money. Although greed is everywhere, it's a lot bigger here and sticking with those professionals is a much better bet to find one that loves you for who you are. Finding homies is not an easy thing until you fit in with an area's crowd, as most do not speak English.
  20. The best answers are those you get from people who actually live close to, or in, those major cities. Some travel around and spend a day and think they know about the cities but they only see a bar or restaurant or two and haven't a clue. It's the same everywhere. All those cities have farangs, bars, temples, parks, gyms, restaurants, farang restaurants, hospitals, major supermarkets, and women. They are interchangeable for the most part. Isaan is Isaan, meaning it's a spread out area of Thai people and farangs, all whom prefer rural and country living and not tourist areas. All have women who speak some or good English, if you look for them. You can always use a translator on your phone to ask questions. Some areas do have a smoke problem, mostly the northern areas, Chiang Mai, Chiang Rai, and Mae Hong Son. If you like beaches you'll have to drive at least 8 hours or take public transportation. Unless you like traveling, seeing Thai sites, and are comfortable in an area without beaches, Isaan is quite boring. You'll want to find the local farang crowd, which is in bars a lot of the time, because it isn't like rural USA. Not knowing the language is a deterrent to everyday life, so living in the city or very close is better.
  21. Yes, and you can't admit that you were talking about a child when you said parasite. I am for real. Children to me are important, and the main reason I'm still in a country that I don't like, and isn't good for my daughter.
  22. Seems many women no longer think carrying a parasite around for 9 months with morning sickness, stretch marks, saggy boobs and potential death is a good idea.................................................. Your words. What else does a woman carry around for 9 months?
  23. That's called free will. Some choose to hurt, others to help. Greed causes many deaths. Thou shalt not covet, steal, murder all things common sense but disregarded by many. World leaders being narcissists, they care only for power and money, and not the people they are supposed to be helping. Yes, God sits back and watches the insanity. He made the earth a certain size, knowing full well we would over populate it and run out of resources eventually. Or have wars that would end it. He could have made it the size of Jupiter, and it would last many more centuries. He knew what free will would do.
