When was the last time that you spoke with a foreigner?
fredwiggy replied to simon43's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
What does a pothead seem to be like? All those I've ever known were amicable, happy people who like to be sociable. Many locals are potheads also, and most I've seen are drinkers. Hard to tell who are nutters until they go off, and many of the most dangerous types aren't drug or alcohol users but unstable already. -

With one of the highest populations comes a higher number of things going wrong. As far as homeless rates, not near what many other countries have...............https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_sovereign_states_by_homeless_population

Mostly from listening to me? I guess you have trouble comprehending what others write here. Tell me, where do I have low moral standards? I've raised, and still are raising, 6 children. I treat women very well. No cheating, abuse or neglect, including my girlfriend here of over 4 years. I believe in God, treat animals well, and don't purchase women. Also, I don't drive drunk, let alone brag about it here on AN like someone we know. Jerry Springer shows are stupid entertainment, like many other immoral pop stars, Madonna being one. Pop stars like them are everywhere, including here and in England. Remember Benny Hill? The Sopranos and Breaking Bad are about real life, and people love them, as you can see in the ratings, again, just like your immoral Benny Hill and many comedians from there. I won't make excuses for the mass shootings but Thailand has a lot also, and is slowly catching up in shootings, with intentional homicides higher than the US. High divorce rates are in a lot of countries, UK not too far behind the US. 2.3 to 1.7. Your "unnecessary wars" are the reason you're living free now, although some were unnecessary, not all were, as history has proven. So you don't stay in denial, look at your own countries crime rates and immorality before you judge a country you've never visited, let alone lived in. Every country, including yours, has it's share of nutjobs, pedophiles, perverts and bad politicians. And you're the one who watches Jerry Springer, not I.

You seem to think you know a lot about Americans, yet have never been to America, so that means you are taking the opinions of what you read in the news and on videos people put on Youtube, which is again, opinions. How would you come to the thinking Americans have low moral standards? Because most voted for a man like Trump? What were our choices? One weak side or one that's been there before and has some good ideas, which we all hope don't backfire? Who do you know that's an American that approves of slavery? Bribery and corruption are everywhere, especially in poor countries like this one, but when you do something wrong in the US, there's a much higher chance of getting arrested and jailed than here. You seem to think everyone approves of Trump and his plans. He was voted in because the other side was weak and not because he's a good candidate. No one knows what will happen with his ideas until it happens, which takes time. What Trump is doing is approved by other people, as happened with all presidents. The same as your country. It's always best to stay out of arguments about a country and what goes on unless you actually live in a country, because living here you're only getting a fraction of what's going on there. If you had relatives there who are living the life, they also could tell you, which is more reliable than biased news or armchair quarterback opinions.

Palestine , Who (you) Should Help Them ...

I just noted what happened in the past. Crime can fluctuate and usually goes up with the population increase............https://www.abs.gov.au/statistics/people/crime-and-justice/prisoners-australia/latest-release. There are more recent links easy to find...........https://www.sydneycriminallawyers.com.au/blog/offences-by-nationality/. -

Quite the same thing happens during a tornado. Extreme wind speed has most everything in the tornado's funnel disintegrate and what is left in very small pieces scattered along the tornado's path. Finding the 100 remains means they can use DNA from people who've lost loved ones to compare with what they found.

It wasn't the Germans but certain ones, and many followed an unstable megalomaniac because he promised changes, until they found out later what he really was. -

Don't lump Americans into Trumps ideas. Most of us don't agree with much of what he says, including his supporters. We went into Afghanistan to kill and stop terrorists, which we did many times. We pulled out, Taliban is still there, just like Communism in Vietnam. We tried to help the South Vietnamese but they are doing okay the way they are. Many Americans don't agree with some of what the military does, but they have kept us and other countries free. We consider it our job because America isn't a country of just one race, creed or nationality but a conglomeration of all of them, which is why we help others. Killing terrorists is mandatory in all countries. It has nothing to do with any power you think other countries have. No one can stand up to the US if they started a war against us there. -

What have you got against Jews? They belong anywhere they want to live. Only the most disturbed thinkers want to slaughter another race. -

And I don't understand why. There are hundreds of thousands of UK citizens living in the US for many reasons. One half of my own family is from Ireland. I suppose some are still fighting England's loss in the Revolutionary War, the same way some are still prejudiced against Germans because of the disturbed Nazis. Every country can help and rely on all others for many reasons, and this prejudiced thinking is why there are so many innocents killed in wars. -

Check your history books, it might give you a better understanding of what happened and why. Of course we would struggle, as other large countries also have a large military, but not near as advanced as ours. 58,000 Americans died in Vietnam and over 1,100,000 Vietnamese army and Viet Cong. 2 million civilians caught in the crossfire. Very unbalanced and we pulled out because we shouldn't have gone there in the first place, as history proved. We also withdrew in Afghanistan, after killing many Taliban, a huge percentage against US fighters lost. -

All you have to do is look at the individual columns and stats. They're in order.........Processed- Violent- Property- Drug- Other- Total. Quite easy to read, especially seeing it's the first column that matters most. It was just listed so would see that Australians themselves are responsible for most crimes in Australia. There are quite a few links if you needed more evidence. A person can spend a day anywhere and not see any crimes, or be there 5 minutes and see one. Remember how many crimes were committed by Australians against Aborigines. -

Show me that poll. If America was attacked, they would quickly exterminate those that tried. -

I agree with that somewhat, but staying in a small cell the rest of your life, along with prison life among other maniacs, most of who have extreme hatred towards those who commit crimes against children, is somewhat worse than a quick end. Solitary with his history, the guards not taking any more chances.

Credit card hacked !

Whenever you give a card to anyone for a transaction, always stand there and watch until it's returned, watching to see if they're scrutinizing it to remember the details.
