Trump allies prepare to infuse ‘Christian nationalism’ in second administration
True. I was again just responding rather anonymously, that the US has a larger percentage of Christians than other faiths. Doesn't mean I support anything. To each his own is what the US is supposed to be about. It hasn't followed that the way it should, yet.

Trump allies prepare to infuse ‘Christian nationalism’ in second administration
I was responding to a poll on the amount of Christians in the US, not what the constitution says about religion. It is meant to stay neutral. I look at the US as all religions, nationalities of the world living (hopefully eventually) in harmony.

I simply believe in God for my own reasons. I cannot judge others. I just typed in what I saw written. Polls are made, and some are legitimate, some aren't. I don't follow any orders by anyone. Following what's written isn't judging. It's taking a side. I took that side when I was a child and haven't wavered, and won't. My belief.

Laws are meant to be judged, changed, adjusted. First part is ridding the world, congress, everywhere, of narcissist leaders. That takes time, as they have a lot of power and money behind the. Trump is one of them, voted in by half of my family and spurned by the other. I saw him for what he was years ago, and some can't see this. A lot think a lot of money made means you're smart, good, slick, whatever. It can also mean sly, scammer, liar, cheater and a friend of the same.

Muslims believe in God. There will always be radicals even in Christianity. The US has it's share of hypocrites and weird thinking people. Change happens. Just takes time.

Trump allies prepare to infuse ‘Christian nationalism’ in second administration
It isn't my deal to judge. I just go by what's written, easily googled. I would hope everyone would believe in God. Would end a lot of killings and pain, although not all, because there will always be hypocrites.

Besides the truth there is only one God, seeing if there were more than one, we would surely see them trying to outdo the other with things we would observe, the US Pledge is meant to be about God, the one and only. It doesn't say Under all gods. You doubt the existence of a God, meaning you aren't a true Christian. A true Christian believes in God through his son, Jesus. You might believe in God but not religion. I was a former Catholic, but now simply a Christian, because some of the things Catholics do aren't necessary and man made. When a poll was made, it took into account Christians, believers in Jesus. The definition........... What is Christian nominalism? a Christian nominalist is one who claims the name Christian, but who has no authentic, personal, sin-forgiving and life-changing relationship with Jesus Christ. His allegiance to Jesus is in name, not heart. (

One nation, under God, indivisible, with liberty and justice for all............... Part of the Pledge of Allegiance........... Christians account for 63% of the religions, although some don't understand that America is not just one type of people but people from everywhere, all religions, races and nationalities. Stats just say the before mentioned.

Electric bill- something is not right.
I was away for the month of November and I received a bill for 500 baht. The only thing left on was the refrigerator. Didn't seem right as a neighbor usually has bills of less than 300 baht, and he uses fans and a refrigerator. I have gotten bills which didn't seem right both here and back in Texas. I feel they are overcharging a lot thinking most won't check. They usually use the excuse that it cost more for the power they received.

Pit Bull Breeder Killed by his own dogs
As you can see, again, dogs have proven their worth. In all the ways I mentioned and more. Try googling what dogs have done as service animals. Dogs that aren't trained can also be gentle, loving companions, as I have seen many times. It's people that mistreat animals that gets them to be aggressive. Dogs left to be wild can also get aggressive, because they look to their peers on how to act. Much like children growing up without fathers or mothers. Do you actually think animals are here, meaning those used for meat, to over populate and eat themselves out of their habitats? People have multiplied so much that room left for animals is decreasing daily. This is why they have to be kept in check. Also, meat tastes good, and no one on earth will ever outlaw meat eating. No sense arguing the point as it will never happen. And people left untrained are the reason we have wars, domestic violence, murder, theft, drug abuse, animal abuse a,kidnappings, rape and other crimes towards humanity. Are people all useless? Many yes, but not all.

Pit Bull Breeder Killed by his own dogs
Dogs aren't useless unless people train them to be. Many lives have been saved by dogs as searchers, drug sniffers, companions to the blind and disabled, K-9's that help police, and just companions to people who have depression. You don't like dogs, don't have one. You can't rant about those that love animals if you don't have the feeling. You do understand that people who intentionally hurt dogs and cats are anti social in many ways. Hurting animals is the first step towards abuse of humans.

Pit Bull Breeder Killed by his own dogs
I, among others, would love to see this happen, but mosquitoes have a reason to be here. Being a believer, I don't understand why God allowed them to transmit diseases but that's what they do to feed. It could have been done a better way it seems, but we won't know until we ask him.

How do you react to Thais who do not respond to greetings?
Just did it quick so others who can't read a lot of words might follow it easier. I just type things as they come to me, and don't care about paragraphs because I've always been able to comprehend whatever anyone writes, no matter the spacing. Many here put in one sentence at a time, like they are all paragraphs, all with the same topic, and that's wrong also, but most don't seem to mind.

meet for coffee or....
People who aren't anti social and like having male friends perhaps, with like interests to talk about, while living in a country known for being among the most boring places on earth, at least away from the beach areas.

Pit Bull Breeder Killed by his own dogs
Guess I, along with the millions of other hunters and target gun shooters, are all idiots, at least to the ill informed. Guns by themselves do not kill anything. It's a tool, used for hunting, protection, and to rid the earth of those that kill innocent people. The same goes for knives, machetes, saws, bricks, hammers, baseball bats, pieces of wood and metal, forks, pencils and pens, and a myriad of other useful tools that people have used to kill others. You could kill a person with a Durian if you hit them in the head, but these things cannot be outlawed. Guns could be outlawed, but they will still be manufactured for the military and police forces, and by private citizens, which means they will find their way into the hands of maniacs. This topic though is about pit bulls. These, along with other dogs, have the ability to kill, IF they aren't properly trained since birth. I do agree on ownership of these though, because incidents like this have happened all along with breeds that have the biting power and strength to kill. These types of breeds should not be in families with small children, or in packs. One dog by itself isn't usually a problem. It's the pack mentality, the same as when crowds get together and start riots. One starts, the others follow. There is a pit that stays near the dog that took up residence at my house, and he is very strong, as I've seen him fight other dogs. He is very gentle to me and I still am wary of him, although he has never shown aggression towards me or others here. He just chases others way from the female dog at my house.

How do you react to Thais who do not respond to greetings?
Up to 65 and more die daily on the roads, mainly because laws on the books aren't enforced, people are paid off, and a wai, and maybe a bribe, gets many out of situations where jail time is mandatory. Locals do not pay child support for the children they make, meaning the men. This absence of fathers, and eventually mothers, who feel the need to go elsewhere to work instead of staying with their children, at least giving the kids one parent who raises them, leaves many kids to fend for themselves, as grandmas, many of whom are illiterate and not capable of taking good responsibility, can't do the job. This lets children to grow up with no guidance, which of course lets them do what their peers do, which is mistreating women, animals, and leaving the kids they make also, repeatiing the pattern. Corruption here is huge, and the human trafficking that is sometimes protected by this corruption, lets it flourish. In a democracy, which is the best source of government, the people can elect new leaders. The people here do not have much of a say. Leaders elected are put aside and the rich who are in charge put one of their own in position. This would be okay if they did the job intended, which is to help all people. Yes, in America, sometimes, or actually may times, a leader is voted in place who does more harm than good, but at least the people have a say in who's elected. Expats are treated as outsiders, whereas Thais are accepted in the US as like all others, except by those who are racist or prejudiced., and not allowed to work in most jobs. In the US, you can get most any job a citizen has eventually. Women and girls are considered second class here. This isn't the case in other countries besides some Muslim and other Asian. They are slaves to the men in many cases, a place where boys, many useless, are put in higher regard than the girls, who usually are the ones trying to get ahead. Thousands of food stalls are unlicensed and many get sick from the food they serve in filthy conditions. Animals, especially dogs, are allowed to roam free because no one takes care of them or their offspring, besides the spay and neuter programs who are sometimes frowned upon, and the laws are there to keep this from happening but aren't enforced strictly. Greed is very high here, and scammers are everywhere, which doesn't help with tourism but has been hurting it more and more. Thailand's image of a place to go and have a good time has been tainted by this and crime towards foreigners. Punishment should be dealt out more, especially towards those who are targeting farangs, for the same reason. This is a beautiful country, with many good people, but it's gotten worse for decades now, and is one reason I will take my daughter from here to give her a better life back home. I don't see things improving until the younger crowd gets their say and removes the ones who have been doing the damage for years. This also happens in the US, but as mentioned, there you can get rid of the garbage by voting them out, or punishing them when they commit crimes I know it's easier for some .

Is Thailand’s love-hate relationship with legal cannabis coming to an end?
I'm sure if you're home town is Mayberry there are people now smoking weed. Even Barney and Goober need a break from the daily tension.

Is Thailand’s love-hate relationship with legal cannabis coming to an end?
I think you're missing a few major points. Cannabis doesn't make people violent, and most crimes associated with drug use involve meth, yaba, cocaine, heroin and fentanyl. Drugs which are highly addictive and cause the body great harm, and also the mind. I'm not a big smoker but do indulge when I visit my kids (yes, they all smoke, and work), but when I smoke, all I wanted to do was listen to music, make love or eat afterwards. Cigarettes, which are legal, addictive and make people think they need them, cause a lot of health problems we all know of. My dad smoked up to 3 packs a day, and was lucky to live to 79 before lung cancer ended his life. When you were young, smoking pot wasn't rare, unless you're over 80. I'm 67, and it was used by more then I knew at the time (found out later), and I tried it in 1974 at age 17. The only drugs I saw hurting others were the before mentioned ones. People might get mellow smoking weed, but it doesn't necessarily make them lazy. Everyone I know who partakes works, and it hasn't affected their work in the least. Weed is used medicinally and for good reasons. Many of these, nausea being one, most of us know by now. The other side of this is doctors who kill many daily by over prescribing narcotics, opioids, for pain, which slow down the system (this it did to my ex wife who had to have her colon removed because of a doctor(s), prescribing fentanyl along with either morphine, dilaudid or vicodin, and she died from a heart attack last year because her body was abused for years from this doctor advice) , and cause many other health problems. As you said, drinking a beer with friends was considered normal and wasn't (isn't) illegal, but alcohol kills hundreds daily, many by those drinking then driving. Legal because someone's making money on it. Weed doesn't cause the accidents which alcohol does. It's obvious you don't like the idea of smoking weed, but if you don't understand something, it doesn't give you the right to condemn it. You're still a drinker I assume, and I'm sure you have had times when you drank then drove, as many of us have. It's a scary thing, and one that shouldn't happen, but people think they are okay when they aren't, and still get behind the wheel. You would be very surprised just how many people get high. People you know, and people you think don't. Hard drugs are never a good thing for sure, but weed isn't one of those, and it makes a lot of people chill out, especially in these times of high stress. It should have been legal for many decades everywhere, but ignorance hurts this. If you're going to have cigarettes and alcohol legal, which cause so many problems, weed, which doesn't, should be legalized. Nothing silly about people being happy. And nothing proved dangerous by smoking weed. Like anything else, moderation is crucial, but people will do what they want no matter if it's legal or not. There are people in jail for weed, and others who are given lesser sentences for murder. Sick world and court systems, but it is what it is, for now.

How do you react to Thais who do not respond to greetings?
Oh we understand all right. It's just that we don't bow down to anyone, knowing no one is any better than we are. We really don't care if offense is taken, for narcissists don't deserve any recognition. Some, many people, aren't interested in responding to any greetings from strangers. Some aren't friendly enough to respond. Many do,as I've seen in many places of many nationalities.

meet for coffee or....
This isn't about the Bangkok area but Isaan, especially in the eastern area.I have a few friends in the 6 years I've been living in Sisaket province. All seem to be pretty friendly, but only a couple are like minded and share common interests. I'm not a bar person, having gone only a couple of times since moving here, mostly to meet for a party, so I don't get to meet with them a lot unless a couple at their homes. It's nice to talk with those from other countries, as some of Europe is still on my bucket list, and those from back home in the US, as we can relate, especially if they are hunters or fishermen. I'm the only farang in my village, and only a couple can speak any English at all, so there's not much relating here. I'm all for meeting up with any that are friendly as I've seen some that seem to avoid farangs like the plague, and one was dragged away from me when we started to speak in Tesco once. Probably thought I would give him some advice that might endanger her milking him.

- Mites: The recent bane of my existence!
That works, along with leaving the clothes in the washer for awhile once it's filled with water and detergent.- Mites: The recent bane of my existence!
You do understand that with the amount of ridiculous posts you make, that most of us here will not take you seriously when you are asking for sincere help. In this case, seeing it sounds like you are serious, Crossy gave you all the information you need. I stayed at my ex's mom's house for a few months while our house was being built and I was bitten daily by bedbugs (I think, because it looked like they're bites), a scorpion, ants, and had a centipede of 9 inches walk over my arm until my ex killed it. They aren't very clean besides the fact they shower daily. I sealed the edges of the house with mortar mix to try and keep most of the bugs out, but as most know, leaving food out, un refrigerated, invites trouble. Food was kept in a cabinet, which didn't do a thing to help besides keeping out flies, and every type of Thai bug invaded. My ex was stung by scorpions at least three times staying there, as she is again now, and my daughter is there most of the week, which I abhor. Dust mites, like some have mentioned, are everywhere, and it isn't a problem unless you have an allergy to them. Mites are found on most everyone's faces, called Demodex, but again, they aren't a problem unless you are immunocompromised. Scabies has to be treated. Permethrin works. As has been said, washing bedding works when hot water or dryers are used, something which isn't prevalent here. Cold water cleans most things, but lice and mites can survive it. - Mites: The recent bane of my existence!
