Foreigners Laud Free Thai Visa Policy for Chinese tourists
Iron Tongue replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
So where exactly in the above article does it identify any foreigners who are "lauding" fee-free visas for Chinese citizens? And what is an "international stakeholder"? -China? It'll be another failure anyway. Chinese citizens will be hoarding their cash as their economy nosedives with no chance of it stabilizing. Just as their exports have dropped between 9-20% for the past 4-months straight, their RE bubble has burst -which is 29% of China's GDP. Eventually, China won't be able to force their banks to continue eating all the bad debt, and very fun things to will happen to their entire country. -Same things happened to Japan in the 1980's, and they still haven't recovered after 40-years. -

Is Thaksin dying soon? Does he have some ailment which will end this man's life relatively quickly so he can't be a future political threat? I can't understand any other reason why he was allowed back to the LoS. This explains his immediate hospital stay and exam, so that the generals can verify this before completing whatever secret agreement they had to let him return. I guess Thaksin wants to die and be buried in Thailand.

Intoxicated British Man Beaten by Two Thai Men in Pattaya
Iron Tongue replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
That Brit still has his heavy chain around his neck after the fight. The article stated that the Brit continued to be loud and disruptive, even wanting to fight the first responders, and it took the police to finally pacify him. Just based on that, I'd say the original Thais must have been provoked and weren't looking for trouble.- 286 replies

OR…In Thailand,... Do You Prefer the PREPPY Look?
Iron Tongue replied to GammaGlobulin's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
That is not Preppy, THAT is Hipster. I went to prep school, wore Brooks Brothers and Sperry . I think I can identify what is considered "preppy". Anyone showing-up with his t-shirt sleeves pulled out from his buttondowns was obviously someone sent to fix the plumbing. -
More Mysterious Debris Washes Ashore in South Thailand

I'm having problems finding carbon fiber amongst the PVC attachment, chickenwire, mesh, fiberglass, and sheet metal. My guess is that some farmer's rotgut still exploded because he was too cheap to use copper parts for it. -

Phuket Landlord Shocked At Damage Caused By Foreign Tenant
Iron Tongue replied to webfact's topic in Phuket News
Appears some of you didn't read the article where it says Landlord suspects the home was used as a marijuana grow house. Most likely the cabinetry were ripped-out to increase grow space and dark surfaces painted white to better reflect the glow lights. Unfortunate. With the roof destroyed by water, that home looks like it'll need a tear-down and rebuild. The tenant probably made enough money from growing weed to escape to his next destination.- 135 replies

Is it okay to walk naked chest in the streets?
Iron Tongue replied to Goodboybkk's topic in General Topics
It's disrespectful in any country for the locals and especially tourists to walk around bare-chested. Especially in the cities. Extremely low class. -
Russia's Luna-25 spacecraft crashes into Moon
Iron Tongue replied to Social Media's topic in World News
I suppose things like this will happen when Russia has to pull mainboards and CPUs needed for their moonshot from smuggled consumer products like coffeepots, razors and digital cameras. -
So this is outside and will be exposed to sunlight UV, as well as the elements? If this is the case do not use epoxy-based paints as epoxy can yellow or become cloudy when exposed to UV for long periods of time. For outdoors use, polyurethane would be a better solution.

Spanish Chef Confesses To Murdering Colombian Surgeon
Iron Tongue replied to webfact's topic in Koh Samui News
Impossible. Anyone who's ever hunted large game, or worked in a kitchen would have plenty of experience breaking-down a carcass. It's rather easy if you have the right knife or two. A skinner and a butcher's knife would be enough to take apart a moose. Having a cleaver would be faster, but messier. I'd think it'd be similar with humans as long as you don't have to stop and puke every few minutes. But a penknife wouldn't work. -
You've listed all the symptoms of sleep apnea, including your age. You keep waking-up because you have stopped breathing and eventually wake yourself self up, -which is better than having a stroke. And yes, it can lead to dementia. Get tested by a sleep specialist immediately, and if recommended, buy a CPAP machine (usually covered by insurance). Don't want to spend the money? Do you think it's cheaper to have a stroke, heart attack, or dementia and need someone else to wipe your backside every time you soil yourself?

Just pay it. It'd cost you $250-300 in the US directly from a dealership.

Wonderful! China probably already has opened secret police stations in every major city in the LoS, and the "criminals" they have been monitoring are all somehow called "dissidents" and "human rights activists" by other countries. All this agreement will do is so China can use Thai police to arrest dissidents for deportation back to China.

No they're not. Mexicans have been eating corn tortillas since before Columbus "discovered" them. Corn is a holy plant to the pre-Columbian Mexicans and other MesoAmerican cultures. They just eat them soft, not folded & fried crunchy. That's an American invention. Mexican tacos usually involve 2-3 small corn tortillas placed in a line with filling placed on top. Flour is an aberration introduced by Europeans. If you want wheat tortillas, eat roti.
