Actually you are on my ignore list, but I have taken you off temporarily to discover quite why you would make such a comment.
There was no comment for nor against rap music; but yet you felt the need to potentially insult someone else's taste in music.
People listen to music for differing reasons and I don't presume that everyone should like what I like and vice versa. Nor would I attempt to denigrate someone for their taste in music.
I might try to introduce them to what I like.
I won't pretend to know much about rap, but the point of it is that there is a message in the music.. The message isn't for you. Your message is that your heart must go on. Some might scoff at that. But it's your experience and me making fun of it isn't likely to create a good atmosphere...like pleasing music.
AFAIK, rap music came from the tradition of Jamaican 'Toasting'...which in turn may have deeper roots.
''Toasting'' is like improvisation over and in between the music.....often Reggae music. Imagine a poet or even a preacher spreading his message.
If you think about Bob Marley...not so different.
Later it was appropriated to talk about the experiences of some black youth in the USA and set against a completely different beat. Hence, murder, police brutality, gang culture..
Of course nothing that you experience, so there is no connection for you. But for people having to live that life....
So it's best to not insult other people's choices out of ignorance and instead just say what you like. Then everyone can carry on supporting each other in harmony.
I also don't listen to rap music as most of it isn't my experience either. But I won't insult the taste of another. Walk in their shoes first before you criticise.
Music isn't just one thing to all. People enjoy what they enjoy. My tastes, I hope, are ever evolving. Some people just like things to stay the same.
What you might consider as a bass player; I might consider as a cave man with no ability at all. But that is just my personal taste.
I am not a big fan of pop music; but I would make few friends if I stated "excuse me, we are talking about music here"...even if I that is what I really thought.
Let's keep it positive. ????

The problem is what I have always said. Windows update is disabled, and no matter what I try I cannot enable it. The pc runs perfectly normally, other than not being able to update windows.
I had forgotten about the Acer on-site help, and I will probably contact them next week as it is Friday lunchtime now. Perhaps they will either come out to me or perhaps the may be able to fix the problem remotely by logging in to my pc remotely.
I had never intended to buy an internal or external SSD at this time.
I was responding to another posters suggestion and I thought to look it up as I have never used one before.
I checked on the prices on Lazada and asked generally on this forum if it were possible to fit an internal SSD, would it be easy to do etc?
Looking at the prices it isn't really much of an option, especially considering the value of the pc and the price of an SSD.
Windows Update being disabled does not impinge on a clean install in any way.
The value of the PC should not be the decider on whether you can or should fit an SSD to it.
You should. Why make it difficult for yourself by insisting you have to replace it with a 1 TB drive?
If you look at other models in the ACER range they will have the same 1 TB HDD, but they will have a smaller SSD for Windows. 256 GB & 512 GB in capacity.
So 256 GB SSD plus the 1 TB HDD that is already in there. That is the standard configuration now and is recommended.
It solves all of your issues for as little as 1000 baht. Faster PC and no more Windows Update issue.
That is why I mentioned the M.2 slot. That is why it is there. For the fast Windows Boot drive. The 1 TB HDD can stay where it is, for storage.
You can capture two birds with a single net.
I just don't know if the slot is SATA only or PCIe/NVMe. ACER will know.
or
But you really need to get it out of your head that a Windows corruption can have any effect on a clean install. Windows = Software. Storage drive = Hardware. Remove software...no more problem. Try to install over faulty software....problem.
So if you remove the old software...no more problem.
I can understand the frustration on both sides and would prefer to not get involved in it.

Thank you for your suggestion.
I tried Macrium on an older pc some years ago and it seemed to work then.
I hope that you are just being polite. Clearly you aren't going to clone your current install to any new SSD.
Ideally you want to just put a clean install of Windows 10 on to a solid state storage drive. Ideally get ACER to do the work in order to preserve the warranty. With your On Site warranty it's a definite possibility.
You can make a back up of the newly installed on SSD, but you don't want to make a clone of your current install.

You can top up at a cost of 12 baht per month if you have a Boontherm device near you. Just stack up a year in advance.
You don't actually need to have change. The Boontherm device will store any remainder against your number; so if you go to another Boontherm machine and enter your number; it will remember your number and apply the credit towards your next top up. So you can put a 100 baht note in the machine and just do continued 10 baht(12 baht) top ups until you have 4 baht left in change. 4 baht will stay in your Boontherm vault until you top up again on the same number. Then it will be deducted from the next top up cost.

I gave most of my instruments 20 years ago to my nephew and his dad in the USA. I brought a Yamaha acoustic electric with me but over 10 years ago the wife decided to put it on a shelf and it fell and broke the neck. Finished it. But anyway for here I have a few guitars acoustic and electric (Fender and Takamine and local brand) and a few basses ( Fender Jazz and Ibanez) hanging around I bought here. Daughter has a nice full 88 weighted key keyboard with a Fender Strat son has a Local nice brand guitar and a Fender Squire P-Bass guitar. So this is the best way I get my music jollies off nowadays opposed to recorded music.
A way to keep the family together. ????

No good if you couldn't pick out each individual instrument and follow it. So if the drums didn't sound like a real drum kit playing; the system had to be improved.
That's why I cannot abide by the people who listen to MP3 and say that they cannot tell the difference between that and Lossless/Hi Res.
Cannot take such people seriously. ????

Are you saying that Thin Lizzy or The Crusaders are NOT pop(ular) music, even when they have both had several No. 1 selling singles? LOL
Of course that is what I am saying. They needed to make money too. Don't think The Crusaders had too many number ones. Maybe Street Life....and that's my least favourite. But I was glad for their success and played it from the rooftops on our wardrobe sized speakers...to introduce The Crusaders to the locals.
Kids eh?

Started playing in a group in 63, Shadows, Beatles, until one day in 64 I heard a song called Don't Worry Baby by a little known American group called The Beach Boys, and that was it.
I had been in choir in school doing Gilbert & Sullivan etc and appreciated vocal harmonies, so for me The Carpenters, Manhattan Transfer, Four Freshmen, HiLos, Singers Unlimited, Take That!, many others.
You were doing ok until you mentioned Take That! ???? A few of the others I hadn't heard of, but get the picture now.
I eschewed pop music for the likes of Thin Lizzy, The Crusaders and all sorts. Anything but pop music. ????

I use an AIS Sim card in my tracker. Doesn't use constant tracking but location by SMS text so no data needed. I simply ping an SMS to the tracker and it responds with a Google Maps link showing the current location. 3 Baht per SMS ping. Only thing to do is to keep the SIM active by topping up at least 20 Baht per month. I buy the trackers off eBay in the UK for my business at £12 and brought one to Thailand for my motorcycle. The size is about same as a basic Nokia phone but slimmer. See here.

For me, a vast majority of post 2000/pre Rap popular music is not as amenable as that which went before. But when you have been brought up in the 60s, it takes some beating.
Popular music was never my thing. 60's stuff that my mum listens to was acceptable. But beyond that I developed my own musical tastes and rejected most pop music.
So I won't have much idea of the artists involved unless named.
I prefer music without auto-tune and with human input rather than synthesised.
Post2000/pre Rap? Still trying to get my head around that. What is pre Rap? Rap has been around a long time in different forms, certainly long before 2000, so again confused by that combo.

About 3 times a week late night I play my electric guitar and bass with head phones on through a guitar and bass App. Occasionally will pick my acoustic up for a song or three. I listen to my daughter's and wife's music when in the car (Blue tooth) with them but normally very seldom will put some music on to listen to by myself, but will sing a song now and then when just doing something. For room filler I have a habit of turning the TV on to give extra company.
I didn't bring mine with me; so it has to suffice listening to other people's tunes.

I am sure Tarka would feel the same! LOL
No but seriously, for me I have been a professional pop musician most of my life and cannot do without it, but draw a line at most of the stuff since 2000.
With radio like 103 or 96, it is the banal comments of the 'DJs' which bug me, the adverts and the station identifiers. You even get them on Classic FM, which I personally listen to before sleep after a couple of Sudoku games.
As for Radio 4, simply get the BBC Sounds App on your PC or phone, bluetooth it to your car radio and Robert is your father's brother. Many of the PODcasts on BBC are abysmal, as some are good.
Global is good for LBC, which is music free, plus loads of smooth & relaxing music stations, and for 60s lovers there is Caroline Flashback, non-stop without any ads.
A bit baffled by your comments here. Are you saying that you don't like much of the music produced since 2000 or that you don't like much of the 'popular' music produced since then?

It's interesting to note that the OP likes Spoken Word programmes, but cannot tolerate music.
For me it's the other way around; I cannot tolerate the constant jibber-jabber and prefer the dynamism of music.
Of course there are some times when I prefer to just listen to the sounds of nature and find even music a distraction.
We are different and thank goodness for that. If we all did the same thing at the same time...

It's also worth a mention, if you do decide to follow up on the warranty question with ACER or the dealer as per the earlier suggestion made on the thread(I note that it has a three year warranty and agree that using it for three years before adding the SSD that should have been there in the first place, would be a poor decision. Worst case you can get an ACER service centre to do the work. They are not expensive. It's just your location that is an issue), that there is a spare M.2 slot. So you can may be able to fit an M.2 SSD in addition to what is there already or have both an M.2 and SATA SSD at the same time. Maybe 512 GB each to keep the budget sensible.
I note that ACER supply on-site service. So you might have the possibility of them travelling to you to fit the parts; which would definitely be the best solution for you. You buy the parts and pay them for travelling to you and labour.
- Warranty : 3 Years Parts & Labor and 3 Year On-Site Service
Enquire. Sometimes a little gentle persuasion can work wonders. ????
They will know whether the spare M.2 slot is SATA or PCIe(NVMe). Best to do it through them, as then your warranty will remain intact. You will have a much faster and efficient PC.

How difficult would it be as my pc is an Acer All In One model?
One reason is that it is still under warranty.
IMHO I would prefer the SSD to be at least the equivalent of 1tB.
It is certainly a task that I would not want to try myself which means that I would have to go back to the dealer I bought it from in Kamphaeng Phet 65km away.
It is an Acer Aspire C24-320-A98G1T23Mi/T001.
The CPU is relatively poor. This device should really have been sold with an SSD, but that would have made the price unattractive to some.
I suggested 500 GB because I thought you might be price sensitive; but it's really up to you; 1TB/2TB according to the depth of your pockets.
My advice would be to not buy DRAMless SSD. A good indicator if you are not a technical person is the length of the warranty. If five years, then there is a good chance that it has DRAM.
https://shopee.co.th/Crucial-1TB-MX500-SATA3-2.5-SSD-i.44499173.2068212771
https://www.jib.co.th/web/product/readProduct/45273/1028/1-TB-SSD--เอสเอสดี--SAMSUNG-870-EVO-SATA-III--MZ-77E1T0BW- are good examples.
If the device has the same casing as this one:
then it's a relatively easy job. A novice could complete it in perhaps fifteen to twenty minutes; most of that time spent in removing and replacing the casing at the back. You don't need to increase the RAM, so you don't need to go further than removing the first part of the casing.
It's a worthy upgrade.
To give you a very rough comparison: Imagine you still played LPs on your turntable; when you want to listen to another track out of sequence, you would have to pick the arm up and move it...it all took time. Then you moved to CDs and it was all a lot more convenient; but still a lot of spinning and sometimes confusion. Then we moved to MP3 players and it was even faster and we could take it with us, running even.
Your current system is somewhere between a record player and CD. Constantly spinning trying to find things and sometimes getting itself into a muddle when too much is occurring.
It's not really fit for purpose. HDD should be used for storage only; not as a Operating System Boot drive.
With a solid state drive and it's 8 GB or RAM, your AIO will work as it should and not be held back by it's slow and clumsy spinning disc drive.

It really isn't a terrible idea to remove the current hard drive, placing it into a caddy for use as an external storage drive and popping a solid state drive within.
2000 baht or thereabouts will get you a high quality and fast 500 GB solid state drive. You'll enjoy using the PC much more and updates will take place MUCH more quickly.

I can imagine that these things are a life saver for many. We don't always have someone around to say the things we need to hear, create an appropriate atmosphere, remind of us from whence we came.
We have the choice at our fingertips of all of this and more these days. For me this is a great thread. I would hate to think someone held back from sharing their experience because they were afraid that someone would criticise.
