However, in setting up my account, it still asked for a HOME phone number (that is an item with an * - meaning a must have.) Re MOBILE phone number, it can do without. IIRC.

Unfortunely the one number b4 me was an agent handling a group of Chinese workers, 7 or 8 of them. Thus an hour-plus wait, but at least people didn't have to fight for seats. Whereas if you come Monday or Friday I'm sure there'd be more of a flea market atmosphere. One good thing is that the staff including the IO were pretty expedient.

Turns out I had used Taxact in 2016 (the yr Trump ehr, never mind.) But subsequently abandoned their services due to the non-free filing issue... Anyway, I'm going back to create new acct for this year (I have this week to do it so now more procrastination...) However having trouble filling in the phone number or rather inputting my Thai phone number preceeded by the country code (066). Any idea?
