  1. US Consulate can only certify the MFA signature (not legality of document) and this is not normally required in my experience. But if wife would like might not be a bad idea to do so. That way you have it if ever required. But as marriage is a State matter if planning return some States may require registration of marriage (most do not) and in that case might want Consulate signature certification.
  2. Believe the only requirement is English translation registered with MFA for such use - and most report often not required. I do not have SS but used such when changed old civil service retirement to include wife as survivor. Believe also may have used such a copy for immigrant visa pre approval by INS before decided to live here. There is no registration with Consulate involved with above - but you can register yourself as living in Thailand and wife information for contact at below - also get alerts from Embassy to your email. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/acsregform/
  3. Believe your talking requirements for US SS survivor benefits (living in USA) - not for an immigrant visa. As said OP is a UK national. As for registration of Thai marriage with US Consulate there is no such procedure - a Thai marriage is recognized. https://th.usembassy.gov/u-s-citizen-services/local-resources-of-u-s-citizens/getting-married-in-thailand/
  4. Believe normally limited to six months or less - but subject to reasons. Normal tourist visa application. 10 years is often what is provided, unlike other countries. Your return to Thailand supporting statement/documents are likely to be helpful. Not sure of current visa timeframe but not normally too long to obtain. Suspect website may have information.
  5. In my case did not have dual national child - but had applied INS and received approval to apply for immigrant visa for wife which we decided not to use several years prior. Applied for normal tourist visa for few weeks visit and show of INS approval and not being used provided immediate approval of 10 year tourist visa. If your plans are to relocate, as post seems to indicate, that might be an issue. But I may be reading wrong.
  6. OP is asking about high dosage (2,200 baht at Bangkok Hospital) flu vaccine - not the normal version (which is 990 baht at Bangkok Hospital). This is the first time have seen available. https://www.bangkokhospital.com/en/package/a-high-dose-flu-vaccine-for-elderly-age-over-65
  7. As no visa is required for a normal Thai visit to Singapore believe that was likely Consulate official talk rather than a high concern. Human trafficking of Thai to Singapore is not a normal high concern issue AFAIK. Seems about one thousand Thai arrive daily.
  8. Did you tell them no on the implant? If so they might recommend a bridge at less cost.
  9. Without a record of previous travel and professional work position to return to Thailand the chance is low for approval as Thai visitors have a high rate for overstay so are carefully screened. A good alternative might be local travel - Hong Kong, Singapore, Jakarta or Kuala Lumpur. All are likely to be found attractive destinations for many Thai and a lot easier to travel.
  10. Really? Was this recent? Have had both USAA debit and Chase credit (with Thai address) rejected by Shopee - both work fine with Lazada/Lotuss/Tops. They still stay only banks within Thailand accepted on website: Edit: did you use browser or a phone app? I only use browser.
  11. They pulled one or three teeth? It seems to be only one and you fled? Treatment and RCT both take time so pulling may have been indicated if hurting you and time in Thailand was short.
  12. As such letters are not available for US/UK/OZ folks the alternative income proof is monthly deposits into Thai bank account for previous year.
  13. Normally bank statement can be up to a week old as long as it covers the required deposits. What often does need to be same day is passbook latest update and letter from bank of account balance/ownership.
  14. OP has nothing to do with any money going to wife - the immigration requirement for one year extensions of stay based on having a Thai wife is an income of 40k per month or a deposit of 400k in a Thai bank account.
  15. Google insisted it was earrings. So talking capacity of 7 power stations estimated being generated by rooftop solar panels which need normal Oz regulations? Got a clue now. Thanks.
  16. Must admit do not have any idea what language this is but even Google seems to be at a loss. US trying to understand UK talking Oz and it flew over this cuckoo's nest without leaving a clue.
  17. Actually most people use Wise for such transfers so no fee from home bank and no fee from Thai bank. Only fee is Wise (based on amount transferred) and exchange rate used is always higher that bank rates. Worth checking if you are not aware of it.
  18. Most sellers are using Thai locations and most suspect goods (direct import or not) seem to come from these sellers (with names like 932ZB34) - and Lazada is owned by the Alibaba Group so they have ability to check. Although seems to be even worse on Shopee. Yes buyer due diligence will most often weed them out - but not always.
  19. Not asking they check items - sellers. As done on other platforms.
  20. They are a platform and as such should take action to keep sellers honest - this seems not to be a priority for any Thai platform however. A refund does not make up for receiving fake items and having to then return and order what you hope will be real.
  21. As said much less stress using G+ (Google) log on option - have been using that for many months now with no issues. Indeed direct sign on was a mess with issues every week or two.
  22. There are two ways to transfer SS to a Bangkok Bank account - the new international method as used for other Thai banks which does not require a special in person access account. Believe this would be the preferred method for most people (if not want to us US account for deposit and send what/when needed to Thailand). The second method is the old relay through Bangkok Bank New York office via ACH transfer to that office and forwarding to account in Thailand that Bangkok Bank required to be in person access only (to protect themselves as they would be responsible for repayment to SS any money paid after death). A change to the new system seems to remove this issue.
  23. You should be on the rental house book - that many remain on parents is local culture (easy path).
