It's a bit more bad than that, it is actually the same elite players, they just decided they wanna play in other countries now. -

Best visa for me to live here?
ChaiyaTH replied to MalcolmB's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
The classes are online indeed, many in the south do that with a university south of hang dong, chiang mai. They only have to visit here once in 3-6 months. It's around 60-70K per year and can be done many years. They do actually have a 1-2 hour lesson and some homework too but can be remote. -
Cannabis Advocates Rally in Bangkok Against Planned Recriminalisation

Yes the licenses mean nothing, without detailled regulation + the flip flop chances of laws changing in Thailand any day. As I explained in detail already; your tax duty and business duties stand aside from legal or illegal products and services. These are 2 complete different subjects, even 3 with the licensing part. Technically speaking I could just setup shop and even run without any licenses, that you do have, and then selling it would still not be a criminal issue. At most I would be fined for not having a license and stopped to operate. My wife does own the licenses by the way, but that is not relevant now. This is the entire issue, and the reason it is being addressed in Thailand. In Netherlands weed is illegal too, even having it is, but you would never be prosecuted if you hand it over volunteered. I know that sounds weird and fked up, it is, but it works. It is likely gonna be similar here. And you can thank the american lobbyists for it to still be 'illegal' in Netherlands too, they stole a huge business model from us by lobbying in Brussels (EU), to not have legal weed before in Europe. Germany might now change that. -

He clearly lacks basic social skills and awareness in general. Many long stayers here do actually, somehow.

Cannabis Advocates Rally in Bangkok Against Planned Recriminalisation

Because you choose to do it, what does that have to do with official lack of regulations etc? That you try to do something official doesn't mean it is official. To pay taxes has to do with making profit and income, not with the business you do. Even as a crack dealer you can pay your taxes if you want, the smart ones in the west actually do so. Dutch illegal growers do that too, even better, you can actually be honest to tax authorities in Netherlands about what you do, as long you pay your taxes. They even take cash. If you don't, they calculate what you could have earned, at max, and then you are still taxed on that + fined. Business 101? You lack knowledge. Even worse, they can even kidnap you for up to 2 weeks if they suspect you to avoid taxes, without a court order. Better hope Thailand doesn't learn about this. Why I talk about Netherlands while this is Thailand? Because it is going to be very very similar here. The reason it became legal here in the first place is because of that 100+ year sentence against a Dutch coffeeshop boss here due to taxes too. Most people don't even know this. -

That's the entire point; the big guys (elite), do not own and control it for the most part. Same with the police not getting any percentages now. So semi illegal = solve that issue. Well ok, Anutin gets a lot of donations most likely, but that's about it. -

I do? So that is ringing the bell then! Why nobody just say this in 1 sentence in a headline, that is big news together with better exchange rates. That does make single entry tourist visa's worthless, which is great news again, less queue's for us with non-o applications. -
I personally just always make eye contact when entering a place, and then already know my favorite option, and ask if i can sit there. Then there is usually no space left for a suggestion too unless it would been reserved.

Big Thailand visa changes from June 1
ChaiyaTH replied to snoop1130's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
I got lost in all the posts and news articles, as immigration always presents it nice but does anyone now know: we now get 60 day on arrival or what? Or is it just that people who did a visa on arrival application, getting 60 days, which is effectively the same as 60 days on a tourist visa obtained abroad? If we all get 60 days on arrival now I will ring the bell today. -
That means it is done properly according to Thai customs. A Thai would like to be highlighted (many foreigners too), the center of attention and into the spotlight hence they want to give you a ''Premium seat'' even we westerners often prefer the opposite, more privacy is better.

Elon Musk’s Starlink satellite internet service

It's a 100 dollars per month for global coverage if you take the package from Philipinnes. It is not available in Thailand itself directly, else the price would be 40-50 a month (domestic service price). -

Knew a guy in Chiang Mai, from Austria, never smoked drinked or did girls, lived here since many years though. I always felt sorry for him; he lived such a boring life, never enjoying a single thing, but apparently so healthy. Guess what happened? No joke here. He was like late 30s or early 40s, collapsed at Central festival chiang mai + death on the spot. I guess except for a small circle nobody even knows today he died, because he was such a boring person. To then take in mind that he worried about health all the time.

Cliche BS, you would be the guy dying of cancer premature, just because of that assumption, in theory. That is the reality of the odds, nothing personal. Chances might be higher to just die of a random accident in the first place. To plan life, at retirement ages, decided be employers, is the entire brain<deleted>. One should live and plan life, as if it doesn't even last after 50-55. If people did that, everything after would be bonus, and most make it until 50-55 too.
-
Sorry but this topic lacks the basic intelligence before it was even opened. Do you really not understand this yourself? First of all, we can't control or decide to get a (deadly or late detected) cancer at any random age. Secondly we can't control the same thing with a heart attack. To talk about ''not smoking reduces the heart attack chance with 20%'' is complete BS, sure it's nice to add on if you can, but in terms of actual odds or percentages insignificant AKA big BS. Anyways, if you want to worry as a male in general, and look at pension ages at the same time, I can educate you quickly: 1/4 male die before 65. Even more before 70 and 75. They tell you to work until around that age, and most of you plan to live the good life from 50-55. I tell you now once only: you are doing it wrong if that applies to you.

Facebook is for 'old people' lol, the generation you mention uses shorts all day (yeah facebook too but mainly tiktok, IG etc). It's been proven to work like hard drugs. The issue is that parents fail to control it, because they often not even have basic tech knowledge. When applying the positive things, it is only improvements. I mean it's Thailand's number 1 nanny: ditch a ipad or smartphone in a toddlers hand and it will be quiet all day. To then add the 7/11 slurpies and look like a oempa loempa by 9-10.
