  1. You are clearly not an entrepreneur, you would be bankrupt in no-time. Normally Thais always pass and rarely can fail. I would actually think this might not be as bad as it sounds in reality, the teacher might have felt motivated to do his best more and the students will have pressure to do do their homework, specially as the parents tell them they won't want to pay. They also sign this paper themselves, I do not see any mention of it being forced. I would think it is worse if my son his teacher doesn't care, and just let him pass regardless.
  2. Guess the problem is that what is beautiful or not is subjective lol. Just looking at the majority people their taste, interior in their houses, clothes they wear, I have little faith in such statements lol.
  3. Not sure where you pull that from, most of the girls there in reality the ones who want fake boobs, fake nose, whitening creams and more. The only reason they did not do it = $$$
  4. Pointless and stupid to grow autoflower outdoors, it is a waste of seeds even. If you want to grow outdoor, use normal seeds, and the time of the year is not relevant in Thailand like it is in in for example countries like UK, Netherlands, Germany etc weather wise. Even growing outdoor, I would still first start with artificial light.
  5. I think you would use these to grow new seedlings with weed lol. Again and again it proves itself; paying for quality is so much worth it.
  6. No reason at all to live the rest of the time in a low tax juridisction, you can simply live under 180 days in 2 countries and use a third as tax residency, with effectively zero tax. You can bet money on that many people will do this too, if Thailand enforces this. From that point onwards, Thailand will go downhill only faster than in the past 10 years. Because people will over time likely stop going to Thailand entirely, or only for a few weeks a year, if being forced out most of the year, due to this. So let's see what the monkies decide.
  7. It's again more about the legal aspect, if it would be a criminal thing to hide it, and even they just find 1 dollar, it's not the tax of the dollar you worry about but the jail time consequences. Doubt any countries let alone banks or other providers would just start sharing all their info with Thailand. I mean, I doubt as much that the average western country looks into accounts in Cambodia or wherever, if it's not insane amounts. However technology and new money systems might change this within a decade. That is what one should fear hiding money while having to pay tax. I prefer legally not paying tax / minimizing it.
  8. Well yeah, that is kind of what it comes down too if it does come to taxing for real. If I would become a tax resident back home in my country in Europe, I can actually, with my girlfriend not earning, having a child, earn easily up to 2500 euro without effectively paying any tax at all, as a small business owner. This while if I would earn this in Thailand, I'd end up paying 10-15K tax a month, getting zero in return on top, while in europe I would also get all kinds of other benefits + even a basic old day pension lol, well what is basic, it's actually near 50K baht. They lost their minds if they push this, while not even giving us permanent residency or other benefits in return. Wish anyone a lot of fun paying for it, if it does happen, I won't pay it here. Thailand has zero to offer, to make it worth paying taxes, as a foreigner. Unless it's just paying fake taxes, I mean like so many local foreign owners do here, paying 2-3K max.
  9. Doesn't matter who they target, if the law also applies to us and you then mess around, it suddenly can turn into a criminal issue. I doubt their skills or focus on us too.
  10. There is like zero news in this entire post, or am I the only one who can read that from it? He is giving 4-5 examples that are the obvious to anyone in the first place, obviously you do not pay double tax if you already pay tax elsewhere. The entire point is how it works with for example savings that are older already. And how to prove that. Aside from that it effects people who live or run off-shore. And so many other things. If anyone was worried just because of what is explained in this topic, I am surprised.
  11. Most do but still shortages on the dark blue milk in many 7/11's, has been taking longer than I expected. Better to just buy the big ones at makro, well better to buy anything there, it's way cheaper. And it still goes to the same owner anyway lol.
  12. I think the corner 7/11 of a tourist his proximity earns more than the hotels and restaurants earn from the same tourist, in terms of net profits. Specially with backpackers. In fact, I think 7/11 earns the most on any Thai in Thailand, compared to all other companies and the government. Maybe the only exception would be banks or lenders, for those with a big mortgage and/or big loans. It's horrible enough in terms of monopoly, and a shame they not at least offer more quality take away food and drinks.
  13. Driving here is like doing the martingale on roulette, even you have a unlimited budget, one day you get bust for some reason.
  14. Says little how long you are in IT, there are very few that are good in email if it comes to this type of details, specially as it has to do a lot with the scale which emails are send on. And in this case, they send to all kinds of providers and a lot too. The experience actually says very little too, most things relevant or used today, are entirely different. Even someone who did PHP 15 years ago, will struggle with PHP as it is today, to just give one example. So yes, Microsoft 365 will flag this, but many others will do that too, if they have a good Spam filter. Reason is often because the origin email server is not setup properly, or is not the right type of email server and configuration, for the way and scale they send emails. The email from the immigration sender seems to be connected to Google Workspace by the way, if they use that to send ten thousands if not hundreds of thousands of people email, without them having opted in properly first, it is no surprise to be flagged IMO. But I guess neither of you even did that basic check so far hehe.
  15. It's called building up international working experience, that can be helpful, when later on graduating, and starting career. But yeah, depends how you look at it, why would one apply anyway if it is not benefiting or nice. Did always surprise me how expensive it was, only due to cost, I had to turn it down myself in younger student years. But this was somewhere in africa. And no, not as a teacher, just in IT.
  16. If both passports are valid you can simply hand both passports to the embassy to prove your legitimate stay in Laos. Same as people sometimes using one nationality passport to enter, and another to apply for visa. Or like my country has a second passport options for business owners, would also be this case, entering using 1, applying on another. It is very nice to have.
  17. Your name seems Dutch which makes sense in terms of the 100 dollars. It likely deduct the local VAT of 21% in a Dutch case, if your account is registered as a Dutch one / being a resident there. In that case you would get around 79 dollars excl transfer fees, the 79 dollars is 2911 baht.
  18. The amphur actually confirmed I am, and we can get a docment. Again, we were never asked it in 3-4 provinces, in over 4-5 years, that is a lot of extensions with different officers, in different offices. Same for people I know doing this since years. Same for it to not make sense to then do handing out a specific non-o child visa at embassies or consulates. You clearly also failed to read I have already resolved it in the south. So nothing fortunate about it, no bribes either.
  19. Obviously he is just trying to scam you for money but as far I know in Thailand they no longer take action on rape if it was 6 months ago or longer. This was a reason a real rape case never went anywhere, as the person only went to the police much later.
  20. Maybe you just read it wrong, I understood from it that he was prepared except for the casual forms that you get from the trays there.
  21. Perhaps because they just recently start to turn people away who are not married, but do have a family, same as I had, wanting that additional document now. I
  22. Your so transparant Jack, only you do the laughing emoticons. I could almost track it by having a scraper see who is recently browsing and compare that to the changes.
  23. Retirement? Maybe in 18 years from now. And I can extend on a Thai child, as well I can get the non-o visa based on Thai child. The only thing I suddenly can not do anymore is do 60 day extensions, this after nearly 5 years no issues. We are even all together and present. The fact that everyone is saying something slightly difference is just too funny for words as well, specially knowing this is their daily job, and there are not that many visa types you need to learn. I have to tell them what options there are, only to then get oh yes that is true, to then get a different list of documents in any place. How is this workable really. One of the three immi offices I let my contacts contact even came up with a list of requirements for a yearly extension of marriage, when I asked what I would need with them for a 60 day child extension.
  24. It's the same with a child, you can ALWAYS apply for a 60 day extension, that is also not the point here. The point is that they suddenly ask for new documentation, which they never did before. Nowhere. I think it's also just weird to give someone a non-o child visa, to then say it's not enough with the same documentation for the 60 day extension. But hey, maybe all is even worse, and they now also stopped giving those non-o visa's, I dont know anymore too.
  25. They have stuff that is food grade, you can put it in your water tank when you suspect he will use it to shower, he will then look like a blue smurf for a few days.
