  1. I've lived with both and israeli on islands in the south, there is little going on about those subjects. Both sides are crooked, so better to just not talk it and be peaceful.
  2. I think there is more ukranian hiding than there is russians. Russians just come on holiday and go back.
  3. Doesn't matter how one looks like if flashing a rolex and spending dollars.
  4. What's there to know anyway, I was more curious about a picture of him today and the eventual sentence that is actually within Thailand.
  5. Well, if using the crazy drugs, nothing is impossible. If it was a drug deal gone wrong, or some girl or guy visiting, its weird the 6K cash was not at least taken. Perhaps he was on the run from someone already. Sounds more like a pay back.
  6. I never understood this part as they required me present when we applied for a passport too. This while I at the same time was not a legal father yet and visa extensions apparently not possible without being one (anymore). Kind of funny in a way, in one place they consider me the father another they don't. Same I could open saving accounts for my son without issues, on my own.
  7. Depends so much where you live, I had places where my bill could be up to 5-6K baht a month using also 2 AC because the building was in full sun all day and the concrete even super hot in the deep night. While where I rent now, I even run one AC with often the door open in day time on 27, and my bill is never more than 2.3K. That being a 3 bedroom house. Then again I also have rented studio condo's with just 1 AC, having almost always a bill of 2-2.5K as well. And no it was not due to some landlord bla bla, always the official government bills.
  8. Career criminals, prison time is like a holiday to Pattaya for western guys.
  9. Let's be happy this is not a Karen country, you would be fined by accidently freaking out and wrongly addressing it in a back soi at night.
  10. Not sure how long you still expect to live but technology is not advancing in the same speed as it did since it started. You talk about a 5-10-20X speed in the next years, so within a decade you would already see most of the things. Within 15 years, for sure.
  11. It's called the future, 20 hours working per week will be normal. To then know you are like more or less a decade in between, it gives little motivation. Certainly knowing the financial system + housing markets sooner or later need to crash and a new digital currency comes. Just to survive and live life seems all that is worth while for many. I'm just in early 30s, and no I'm not lazy, I already did night shifts illegally when I was 15 in hospitality and tourism. But I also started to work less now, because I just see it isn't really worth working harder too, you more or less earn the same even. I can recall if I now go back home, i earn the same working 24-28 hours than when I work 40 hours, due to taxes. I think the new generation is more aware of such things too than the older generation is, I see so many people who worked 5-10 years longer than necessary. In a world where 1/4 males die before 65, to then be promised a 'pension' at 70, what would you do. And then also not being able to buy a house. Then the choice to not take children, reduces costs even further but IMO also decreases motivation and urge to work hard.
  12. Well yeah exactly, you basically double the risk already by having now 2 people with a media file that shows the CC details. You might as well mail the card by post in that case, like the chance is bigger you get an accident on your way to the local Thai fedex office than that your package would not arrive there. In terms of credit cards being stolen randomly, almost all times it are hacked databases and the like, as there are millions of stolen ones being abused on a daily basis, we talk US billions yearly, the chance is not that big for it to happen to a individual, yet it happens a lot and the chance is big one of your cards is in a database somewhere too. You can purchase these lists on the dark web for peanuts, people buying these usually try and convert it into paypal money, gift cards, bitcoin etc. This is why they sell these gift cards cheaper than the value on websites like ebay too.
  13. I became as good with my left hand as my right hand is thanks to the accident I had. That is actually a big benefit lol.
  14. And by the way, do a second opinion in another hospital. You never know what they miss here. With the police report, you can spend another 24K.
  15. Not sure what you are on about with all the praising for 6000 costs as any bike or vechicle would cover your for 30,000 baht on por lor bor. You would been smarter to go to a decent hospital. Even you drive illegal or drunk this cover applies, so has nothing to do with praising anyone. The fact this is all we get is actually a sad thing, as it basically says, fk human rights, no money no professionals. Pretty sure you would been in hell of madness now if you had anything more serious, as your bill would jump to hundreds of thousands right away, doing <deleted>ty work. Police was nice? Yes of course, because it was a hit and run lol.
  16. Exact same happened to me a few years ago, my face looked like a water melon and nose broken, teeth broken, wearing a full face helmet I normally rarely do. Also in Chiang Mai, the first thing the police did was trying to make me sign papers I was wrong, which I was not. Not to mention ram hospital forgot a broken wrist on x ray..... Im actually surprised the ambulance ride without a thing for my neck didn't kill me, after the accident itself. Hope you are well soon!
  17. You clearly know little about IT. They even check every 500K transfer, maybe you never even did such sizes. The reason only 6% of Thai people pay tax is because they not earn enough, ffs, this forum really holds few brains. The fact a country is run backwards, doesn't mean it's banking system is, let alone to know who is due for taxes.
  18. Well that is an easy one then right, I would tell her she is then the one who will be doing it from now on.
  19. If you manage to make 250sqm surface of floors that dirty, that you need to clean all of it every day, and that takes you 2 hours? I really don't get it. Even if I use our chinese floor wiper I can do our 60sqm living room in 5-10 minutes. But to get all of this dirty, every day, you should maybe close your doors or put mosquito nets in your house lol.
  20. People dislike change, it's that simple. They say people change when the pain to stay the same is bigger than the effort to change.
  21. They do pay attention to these details when you check-in at the counter so big chance you will be refused to board.
  22. Ehh.. what stops you to let the person you ask to take photos to mail it by UPS or Fedex here. The risk of that is as big as letting someone else take photos and then send those to you.
  23. Im honestly seeing zero of any high season being near, which is very unusual, for this time of the year. Seems tourism is draining more and more, like i predicted before. Only difference seems to be the south aka islands or beach towns, but those always did fine and are also not near as close as what it once was. The south simply enjoys having a lot of new russian/israeli/ukranian long stayers since the last year of covid. Wont be forever too. There are quite a few hotels and resorts that still not even reopened since covid ended, purely due to the cost. Also even those visiting, barely spend in restaurants and bars.
  24. Not sure how you define the word peasants, sounds all of them are.
  25. Dont worry too fast, thais and planning. They would buy sails before having a boat too.
