Lithuanian man fined 12,000 baht for drifting BMW in Chon Buri
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Pattaya News
You must be joking right, a french tourist secretly recording other backpackers in Chiang Mai, inside the showers of a hostel, was fined 1K baht. But you want to go for blacklistings or deportation drifting, while you have no real idea of the actual traffic situation or whatsoever, and nothing went wrong, lol. <deleted>. -
Lithuanian man fined 12,000 baht for drifting BMW in Chon Buri

Meanwhile a random half drunk pick-up driver gets away with a few wais and 15,000 compensation, after someone died due to it. Or a small time drug dealer caught with 2 pills only, get's that as a fine. Or a rapist and murderer get's that as a fine aside from being released after 3 out of 7 years prison. But how wow, stop stop, this is a foreigner, let's do a 10X average fine for a traffic violation. -
I would be seriously concerned about both the boyfriend / husband as well as the girlfriend / wife reading on AN, as their hubby does too. No life for sure. In the same time, it would be a double shock, as the Thai reading it, if a Thai, would show a few percent of intellectual interest.

200k for a child? How you even come up with this. It is 400K, always has been. Anyway, Thailand should feel really really ashamed, for requiring such a amount of money, to only obtain a 90 day visiting visa that is for people their own children. It makes just ZERO sense. Anyway, most people photoshop it without issues, is not like they can check anything anyway. Which in a way, makes it even more pathetic. Same for them telling tourists, that they can not qualify for a tourist visa, because they plan to stay in the same city or island for the entire duration with their booking. These people, just really, anywhere, in Thailand, have little to no brains for sure. There can't be any debate about that anymore at this stage. It's easier to obtain a tourist or muay thai visa than it is for a legit parent, without 400K, to obtain a 90 day visa. Only in Thailand. Maybe the origin of having few working brain cells is exactly that, too much muay thai in the past.

Meanwhile on my Macbook laptop I have to do absolutely nothing, the battery works as a charm for easily 4 years at 80% capacity, to then get a notice, please replace. Sold Dell and Lenovo for years, but lol, what a joke what that. Even today, it is like going back in time 20 years reading these topics. I remember having to replace my battery almost every year, if wanting to have a few hours of work time. Not to mention all the other drama. Even my first apple laptop still works today, with the original battery, my girlfriend uses it for movies, office etc (9-10 years old now).

Songkhla Revives Robusta Coffee Cultivation
ChaiyaTH replied to snoop1130's topic in Southern Thailand News
Throw that stuff away already, what a waste of time. Just produce proper arabica or leave it. Why does it seems so hard for Thai farmers to grow something else, it is like they have zero imagination at all. Maybe that is Thais in general actually lol. They all seem to be copy machines. The old lady with a coffeeshop, that likely tastes like something to flush your inside with on the toilet right after, is in charge of the production ..... Similar to all the Thais in charge of weed farms, it is that bad and low potent stuff, that the original Thai brick is better (which comes from Laos). -
British Man Arrested with Magic Mushroom in Patong

What a nonsense, haven't seen or been offered it once, at any of the 100+ weed shops I visited all over Thailand. Neither did I hear other smokers talk about it. -
How Can I Help My 10 Year Old Thai 'Stepdaughter'?
ChaiyaTH replied to siftasam's topic in Chiang Mai
Let most of the money be invested, and paid out to her in steps, perhaps a small one without further info of any more from 18, in that case you will not spoil them and they might think they just face the hard life anyone has without a booster upfront. The money that then still comes, likely will be spend better and sustainable, too. -
Maybe you should read before you reply. This topic is about the OP, and the OP mainly lives in open air. He even stated this a few comments back in another topic but it is common sense for anyone on the islands, which the topic is also about. As I also wrote already: the air quality is down in this specific geo of thailand every time around this year up until around april / may. You can often hardly see samui from a beach like srithanu. If people are actually serious about having health issues, but then being so ignorant to keep living in most of Thailand, I would say the south is the only acceptable escape location, not sure what to say of that. Measuring it and putting a few air filters around is not gonna help. What you mention with KL is a joke, that is what most of Thailand and specially the north, gets to endure for weeks if not months a year. Depending on the direction of the wind, the burning from malaysia often also hits the south of Thailand for days or week(s). Not to mention the invisible pollution on phangan and samui from the garbage burning, that due to winds, can be a invisible killer too.
-
It happens every year to not be able to see Samui clear from Phangan around this time. The air quality usually is 60 levels too. Pointless to measure the air quality anyway, what does this actually help you with? Nothing. What will it change? Nothing. What will it tell you more? Nothing. The suggestion to buy an air purifier is just as senseless lol, these people clearly do not understand island life, where you are mainly in open air. Actually surprises me that people who lived here so long, could not be aware of this. It is nothing new at all, nothing new in decades.

Not sure where you get that reading from, it's max average 44 for ozone in Bangkok today. The normal general reading (PM2.5) is 100-200 today.

What other interests do you have as you get older?
ChaiyaTH replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
When I started over 5-6 years ago, with a sort of bankrupt thing, I rented a 4K room and just bought the camping stove + electric red pan from tesco lotus. Can virtually make any food with these 2 things aside from real coffee on a italian maker (with the gas stove) and of course a rice cooker. Tesco also used to do 20-30% off meat and veggies after 8PM. -

ChaiyaTH replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Depends what one considers older of course but after a decade here I recently started to download and collect tons of things like books, movies, music, games, software, but also information about everything; medical, how to survive, engineering, whatever else. Just in case we do get this black out Klaus Schwab mentioned. I even have a copy of this platform's software lol, we could setup a local intranet by then to continue. -
Are you expat from another Asian countries
ChaiyaTH replied to georgegeorgia's topic in ASEAN NOW Community Pub
Vietnam and Indonesia are very populair with the new generations, they would just rarely sign up on a forum like this. They are on social media only. The same reason why all websites about traveling or how do to border trips and stuff are very old posts or even outdated. -

Yeah so that is now over, unless you have a police report showing your passport is stolen then. -
Must Read Thailand starts checking foreigners' passports on domestic flights
ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
Have to beg for a visa and extensions, then do 90 day reports, then now also pay tax, and then now also not trusted anymore to not fly without a passport due to overstayers. Oh yeah and while we are on it, we also take your weed away. LOL. -

ChaiyaTH replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
How does it even make sense, are airport security now going trough all my pages to check my stamp too? I prefer using my Thai driving license for this, then i can't lose my passport as well. So that is now out of the window as well I guess. The land of cries. Really seems more and more it's time to move on. -
Nonsense. One month done unless year rent paid upfront too.
-
One month rent: if agent in company 50% of the 1 month. Or a salary and less in commissions. Topic closed.
