KL embassy requierments for SETV
ChaiyaTH replied to mrnike's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
It's quite a nightmare, I have a friend who had the same requirement in Vietnam and Kuala Lumpur, and even he booked a place for the entire duration, they then said it could not be just 1 place. It is very stupid, as obviously, it can still be cancelled after. They often also want to see payment receipts now. So with other words, they decide for you, what is a tourist or not. Apparently one can not stay at a resort on the beach for 2 months straight >< If you can comply with everything, and have patience, which likely means having to change and print things again, queue up again etc, you can get one... -

We don't care, the results speak for itself, it's the best performing asset in the world. -
Our online company and all people who live here, which is about 20 people in total, all stopped sending money to Thailand and do same as you said. Will cost them many millions in VAT alone yearly as you say. Aside from not buying a condo, car etc etc anymore. I even will do all my shopping in Vietnam from now on if I ever need a new macbook, iphone etc. I wonder if the THB is gonna crash soon as they must see serious less foreign funds coming in, as tourism isn't close to back what it was. My best guess is that they need at least 10 million backpackers more, just to compensate for this, if most of us do this.

Yeah too funny, they wanna see money proof for a visa to see my own son, or give me 3 month visa's each time, and at the same time they want to tax me for a higher percentage, theoretically, then I would even pay back home (to then also get all the benefits from it again). Wonder how this is going to evolve aside from tourism and economy in general.

Thai Exchanges Lost Their Edge
ChaiyaTH replied to MangoKorat's topic in Jobs, Economy, Banking, Business, Investments
Except people who stay here long enough every year now have to pay tax, so in that case the old fashioned changing money would still be the best deal. As you otherwise would get a even worse exchange rate by using the ATM, aside from ATM fees itself. -
The Reality of Existence vs the Hope of Eternity

Too much sorry, lost attention after a few sentences. If you don't understand how religion or spiritual beliefs make sense, you didn't learn much so far. -

You not been to the islands many times then I guess, most deals are done Person to Person. You won't even find a place otherwise, except for hotels of course. -
Booking cancelled
ChaiyaTH replied to Mika78's topic in Real Estate, Housing, House and Land Ownership
''Staying short term in a condo is illegal'' ehh no it is not at all, it is in fact illegal for the landlord to sublet it, not for a person to pay that and stay at the place. The same counts for the duty to report a foreigner staying at any place, this duty is with the landlord again. Do you just suck things out of your thumb? -
Everyone I know including myself have stopped transfer directly to Thailand until things are cleared up. I use Thai banks minimal as of this year. Opened some bank accounts in other SE asian countries to use for Grab, Visa pay and ATM withdrawals instead. Problem solved. Even they are always slow and might not be able to do it right away, legally speaking they could still go back in time for many years, from this year start. So I am not playing with fire until it is 100% clear to not happen anymore.

Nonsense to have 2 copies of everything, 1 is asked for. Just passport copy, TM30 and 1900 baht. Can be last minute, even after lunch.

Is around 500 baht per page, he can also come to you if paying grab sometimes. Other option can be suwan law. No more than 1000 baht per page for either. Paying more than 1500 baht per page is simply a rip-off for farangs. All they do is put the blue stamp on it, sign it, and the golden sticker, takes 15 seconds.

Obviously the better the weed is, the better the oil or butter for edibles will be as well. I always use 'high end' weed aka good indoor weed / normal weed, if making a chocolate space cake or whatever else too. Same as what I smoke. However I usually try to buy the smaller buds of 'high end' weed as they are cheaper, if using it for edibles. I usually even combine a few strains of this together and call it a mystery mix. I once seen a oil that looked like gold and smelled like mimosa terpenes, was quite amazing.

Toyota yaris or vios, or a Honda jazz. Honda jazz is super nice for parking and you would be surprised how much space there is to move things if putting the back seats down as well. -

Hence it is called modern slavery, which is also what was written in the article.
