Cashing out crypto in Thailand, under the new tax rules of 2024
ChaiyaTH replied to cleanac's topic in Cryptocurrency News
Htx.com and poloniex.com have plenty of p2p. Just withdraw cash with overseas bank account or withdraw 10k abroad and fly it in. Not see what is complicated. -
Lol wtf, how can they just implement stuff like this out of nowhere. There is no way I would have known this and i would just have booked a flight to kuala lumpur as usual, I can imagine this is the same for hundreds of people leaving from the west to malaysia on their so maniest trip.

Hanoi or Hoh Chi Minh Non B application
ChaiyaTH replied to bangkok blue's topic in Thai Visas, Residency, and Work Permits
Hanoi does not allow to walk in, you need to make appointment, takes a few days to process as well. Be prepared to need more documents than you get, thus needing extra days to still get what you might be missing, in Hanoi. -
Made up stories? How it is unknown to you or other members here (that you seem to speak for), there is plenty of retirees with a million in dollars and very lavish budget / spending. As well there is plenty who make or made it in business in a younger age already, and plenty who drive cars that cost 60-80K a month in installments too, because the leases are short in duration. Can even just be for a normal mercedes. I think what is more funny, and made up, is that poor people always assume that anyone who has money is the enemy, or that that is unrealistic. Only to defend their own position, instead of simply admitting, yeah I kind of <deleted> up and am not too rich. This while most rich people are extremely positive towards anyone.

What is your monthly budget? It is hard to tell what options you would have, you can easily avoid any of the visa issues by also sometimes travelling to Vietnam etc. Aside from that, I expect us westerners to get at least 45 days on arrival if not 90 days on arrival next year, as they are that desperate for tourists by that time. Would not do any visa in australia as it likely cost you time and money, you can just arrive on 30 days, extend that with 30 days, and then make a plan or do a visa trip to Laos / Vietnam etc. If you have all the time in the world and don't mind to ''slow travel'' it can still be inexpensive.

Chiang Mai AQI Is Already Over 100
ChaiyaTH replied to koolkarl's topic in Air Pollution in Thailand
Has nothing to do with the burning and it is currently only 50-60 average, which is almost the same anywhere in Thailand. -
where to stay for one week in February
ChaiyaTH replied to hotandsticky's topic in Koh Samui, Koh Phangan, Koh Tao
Phangan and Tao, skip Samui entirely, its a mess there. -
If you wanna do a girl daily and then also some drinks in the bars left and right, that easily can be 3-5K daily already. If you would do strictly the short time version girls, and perhaps via dating sites instead of bars, you could get it at 1-1.5K per time. So basically to keep things actually fun, I would already forget about renting for so much money, that is an absolute waste with that budget. If you would rent for max 30-40K including utilities, your plan is realistic, and still leaves room for some holidays and stuff too. If you gonna live that lifestyle, the cheaper you rent is actually the better, there is not much benefit to more than 20-30K a month, and girls don't care either, they just wanna get paid + you are a lot outside.
-
True, it is not that crazy, plenty who do even up to 500K a month, or more.

Seems smart, the charges are less if it happens in the day time as well if he didn't have any weapons or did not threaten anyone. Aside that he took a huge amount. If he actually stays at large, this would be one of the more professional gold robberies I've read about in years. Maybe it is a foreigner lol, 180cm too.

If she would only work in her hi season i'd say yes, successful. Otherwise it sounds more like insane, with those hours and days.
-
Yeah i'm sure there is always a high season to sell high-end products for high prices
-
Typical thai logic I assume, and let me guess, it does depend on tourists (as of the high season best earning months).

I would want to jump from the waterfall if I would be together 24/7 for more than a few days. Be happy you have free time, do you not have any hobby's or friends? I can enjoy myself even just driving around on the motorbike, going to a coffeeshop, having some beers, go to see a movie, go to a sauna and swimming pool, meet up with some other guys + beers as well, go to have a bbq, or just spend time at home on the computer etc etc etc.

If she makes 75% of her profits in those months, she should just not do it at all in X months a year as well. That is a super good deal. I remember a Italian selling ice cream in the high season making enough in 4-5 months to then live here on 3-4K euro a month the rest of the year, similar hours.

She used to work fulltime but since my son was born, or actually 5-6 months before that, she stopped working as it didn't make much sense otherwise. Paying a maid would easily cost 12-15K a month (even it's less, than still additional transport costs etc). Even if she would then earn 25K a month, didn't make much sense to me for my son to grow up with some random maid instead of her. So long story short, she basically takes care of everything in the house and I earn the money. Now my son goes to school she does do some eCommerce business. I see many Thai with maids while their parents (grandparents of child) are home too, but not look after their own kid, the kid seems to be more close with the maid than it is with their own parents and grandparents, not really see the logic unless you earn 30-40K after paying the maid, more.
