    Thanks. But they are nothing to worry about, since there hasn't been any confusion, as only the formal application has been given a Doc. Number. Also theses two drafts were the base of a fruitful exchange regarding the HI/SelfHI choice, which ended up with them saying that my UBS statements were fine, but my HI papers could be useful too. Unusually pragmatic for someone who has been dealing with IO nitpicking for years.

    My guess is that they are still waiting for some documents before finalising approval. This could be be that whatever you might have sent is waiting somewhere in a queue to be processed or validated by a human. For instance all HI documents could be channelled to the FIFO basis, before they go back to the main workflow.

    Got the Approval email today. So I went to the status screen of their system and downloaded the attachment. Is this the "Approval" letter that I need to get my visa stamped? Also there are two options/actions "download", which I did, and "pre-approval"; does anyone know what the "pre-approval" would do. I am a bit worried I could mess up my file as their system looks a bit glitchy.. BOI-LTR-Rot.pdf

    Yeah, my application of September 4th goes back and forth between "processing" and "pending", and nothing else happens. Seems more and more likely that I'll get another "Thai wife" extension and reapply for the LTR visa, later next year, if they haven't closed shop in the meantime.
