You can't have a holiday, but you can stay/survive. Tell be what sort of activity you can finance with 2000 THB after you've paid food and lodging. Especially in Thailand, in Ecuador maybe, as you can go hiking.

Honestly, when reading 5.2 and 5.3.2 it becomes obvious that the Thai insurance remains the only option. And that looks deliberate, which implies undisguised corruption. When dealing with BOI things are glaringly different. But let's hope that they keep control.

I think you try to do two steps in one. The screenshot you've posted is for the second step, ie E-visa application. Before that you need to obtain the letter of approval from BOI LTR. That's when u need your pensions statement and health insurance certificate. You can make your application to BOI here. To get this letter will take about a month.
