zzzzz replied to zzzzz's topic in Cambodia Visa and Immigration
$10/day NO LIMIT ( unlike Thailand set at 20,000 baht) 1 month extension apx $40 You can't afford thailand!!!! <deleted> You do understand Cambodia is NOT cheaper than thailand< i can eat better, cheaper in Phuket than anywhere in Cambodia, Ok you can drink alcohol cheaper if thats ur thing> decent aircon accommodations run $15-25/night but its no value like thailand -
will only last until the other establishments see him open and complain

Visa and Immigration Cambodia
zzzzz replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Cambodia Visa and Immigration
use an agent to convert T ( tourist) visa to ordinary ( business visa), but see numbers for around $100 or so You CANT get an Ordinary, ( Business ) visa at embassy, Unless ur employed or have a company willing to employ you and provide you all the necessary docs its a royal pain in the ass https://cambodiaembassyinthailand.wordpress.com/consular-services/visa/ ALL visas are only valid for 30 days than you apply for an extension 3, 6 $180) ,12, $280-300) months ( 6 & 12 are multiple entry) tourist visa can be extended for ONLY 30 days for around $40 -
you can do the 90 day, 14 days before and up to 7 days after

Can Thailand become a digital nomad hub?
zzzzz replied to Jonathan Fairfield's topic in Thailand News
As far as internet goes< I was paying 640 baht ( @$20) for AIS fiber in Phuket 200 mbs up and down> I am now in Kep cambodia paying $16 for 18 mbs up and down and its JUST AS FAST as i was getting in Phuket as nobody uses fiber, only their phones> Easy 1 year visas< Up to 8% interest on fixed bank accounts Downside is outside of PP; availability of goods is way below Thailand, Medical outside of PP sucks, accommodations are nowhere near the value, street food sucks, cost are appx 20% higher for most things But it is an option for those that cant afford or qualify for the "digital nomad visa" in Thailand -
plenty of expats own dogs in Kamala, but u need a yard> see them walking the dogs along the beach everyday

It’s expats, not tourists that are visiting Thailand: Business leader
zzzzz replied to webfact's topic in Thailand News
dont think it matters one way or the other for a night in a hotel,( there not all overpriced) its the pre departure covid test and one on arrival + insurance that is costly. -
told ya>> always good to have a spare ???? why pay for netflixs if u have an android box that can get all the movies /Tv shows u'd ever be able to watch for FREE

yea to enter Cambodia u only need show u have had 2 shots, a negative pcr test within 72 hours of arrival. On arrival get a rapid test. wait for results. if negative ur good to go no deposits, no insurance needed. ONLY need visa in advance ( but can get that online) Land borders NOT OPEN -

https://www.mfaic.gov.kh/covid-19 seems forte is NOT required, https://www.khmertimeskh.com/50971828/covid-health-insurance-no-longer-needed-for-travellers-to-cambodia but might wait a few days for airlines to know this ???? from a reliable source: FYI: land borders ONLY open with advance special permission ( like needing to travel by road to Bangkok Hospital) and for some migrant workers but for sure NO westerners.

Pre covid, very easy Borders are NOT yet open either way. I dont expect that to happen till feb at earliest> pre covid, the thai embassy would issue max 4 tourist visas in ones passport 2 land visa exempt entries/calendar year dont forget the pcr test before you leave thailand, rapid test on arrival in Cambodia and another pcr test to return to Thailand AND according to travelers that arrived in Cambodia yesterday, Forte covid insurance still required, ( min 20 days $90) for entry an than you need insurance for thailand as well Visa via agent was around $45 and 3 days turnaround time

In march when i went in for my coe for a new license, it was the young thai female volunteer that sits in front on the left side that asked for the 300, I glanced over at the Officer, to the right of her, who knows me and he smiled when i told her it was free. up to you if u want corruption to continue i went in March for my 4th 5 years license an needed to show a med certificate (obtained for 100 baht), have had to get one since my first application
-
coe is free and issued same day, Just tell the lady, ( u will note its NOT the officer that asks for 300) that its free> 30 minute wait time is average
