  1. I have had a place on 11 for around 25 years, don't recall anything of note ever happening late night at the Federal beyond great food. The Grace Coffee shop, however, was madness a mix of arab, thai and farang, all up to no good. Bowling at the Grace was a great way to get a few beers in before looking for trouble.
  2. It was called Soho. On the ambassador side of the street maybe 200 meters up the soi. kind of where the fx booths and Cannabis Club are now. Played mostly hip hop. Used to drive David from Q bar absolutely crazy that the cops would close Q bar and everyone would move down the street. amusing rants ensued.
  3. im not sure the problem is your neighbor's mate, this is obsessive.
  4. in singles it will certainly get you attention at the "gentlemans club"
  5. this is shameful, no pretence at hiring based on merit, blatant exclusion labelled as inclusivity, Seriously, <deleted> you Canada, "Two spirit" indeed. What place does that have at work? "The position is only open to people who self-identify as a member of a racialized minority." what the fok does that even mean? As a white male if I claim to be Chinese or black, do I qualify? it seems I must.
  6. absolutely never. Not once.
  7. they were a whole scene back in the day (2000-2010++) we called them the plastic chairs, and occupied them on too many occasions watching folks head to work. those were the days when you got lucky if you went home alone. The queen of the plastic chairs, Khun Toi (Toy?) -- she could be seen cooking in rubber boots every night around soi 11/1 - Soi13 -- is the person who sublet the land the now gone "illegal bars" occupied over COVID. It was her restaurant at the end. She moved to the building in front of the ambassador that used to be au bon pain.
  8. Sure you mean the old thermae? sounds a lot like current one to me.
  9. unless you were careless and didnt monitor the lady drinks finding their way onto your bill.
  10. Climax was in the underground parking of the Ambassador.
  11. Can't you come up with a new metaphor, this one is bloody tiresome.
  12. Ah, it seems its primarily directed at Indonesians. my bad.
  13. The family are idiots, but its pretty obvious that Canada has become a caricature of liberal values.
  14. This should help stem the flood of folks arriving from Myanmar ...
  15. If it is a clear policy its not discrimination, and the 20,000 baht requirement has been in place for decades. The Korean questioning, however, was on arbitrary topics and bizarre subjects. Surley even the most obtuse of AN posters can make that distinction. https://e.vnexpress.net/news/travel/thai-netizens-complain-of-strict-korean-immigration-procedures-4673603.html
  16. As it says, just noticed it's gone, so I clicked on someone's profile to see if it had been removed there and it was buried under yet another click. So I'm wondering what the rationale there is?
  17. Given that Webfact or snoop1130 are responsible for news copypasta that is pretty much one out of every 2 news articles posted for the last decade or more.
  18. there are 13 in the picture one is obscured behind the third from the left in black.
  19. The first sentence of the OP:
  20. There are so many issues here in this one sentence, its pretty difficult to point an accusing finger at any one party. Straight across the board this is a failure in education. It's obvious these people are poor as dirt and entirely lacking any education or advantages.
  21. yes please, more chemicals to combat pollution.
  22. 100mb, you are joking right? In February last year I bought a dtac sim unlimited 15mbps for 12 months 1390 THB. This year in November I bought the same sim for visiting a friend, 1890. Looking to renew today because this reminded me that same sim is 2,590. Seriously WTH?
  23. Can always count on you to be the most Thai fellow in the room.
