Once more I nearly forgot about doing my 90 day report in a timely basis. Turns out I casually and accidentally discovered my reporting was the following day. Once at the agents office I asked them about leaving the passport with them and they said that'd be fine. I wouldn't say I left it with purpose and intention but I just didn't go and pick it up the next day when it was ready. What are the pros and cons of leaving the passport with them? I always carry the reduced credit card sized copy in my passport along with my MC and car license.

I don't feel it's the beginning of needing a dash cam. Years ago after viewing a video on this site, I immediately went to Tuckom and bought a dash cam. What the video showed was a younger Thai lady barely slowdown at a crossroad with a major boulevard. Subsequently she was struck by another pickup in from of the one with the dash cam and then once more by the dash cam pick up. The young MC driver died and the pick up driver felt he would have easily been charged had he not had his exculpatory evidence. I think this sad even happened in KhonKaen but my memory may have failed me. Having a dash cam was likely a good idea since the day they became available.

Please give us a hint. The suspense is killing me.

I once stayed at a hotel near the American Consulate in Chaing Mai. This was prior to the time I always just offer my Thai driver's license so I'd given them my passport. After having some difficulty finding the visa page, they asked me where it is in the passport. I just told them they needed to check every page as I wasn't going to assist them in tracking my every move.
